Questions & Answers

Q: It's not 11.50 it's 10.95 per shooter

A: As of 9/3/2022, the pistol range charge is 12.95/shooter, no time limit, no limit on # of firearms. Comes with 1 target.

- Henry Ortiz, Jr. (2 years ago)

Q: Cost to fire

A: It's not 11 bucks a target it's about 11.50 per shooter for an unlimited time. And if u want additional targets it's 2 bucks at the pistol range and each additional at the rifle range is 3 bucks. OR u can bring your own targets and stable them on for free at the pistol range. Idk If it's the same at the rifle range. Me and my son shot for 13 bucks yesterday. Since he was only goin to be kind of shooting. I love the place and the people are very friendly and helpful. I used to go to bullet hole but they are rude over packed and lack what a range master needs. Hopefully u will enjot this place as much as i do. And before I go rifle range is 25yrd 50yrd and 100yrd. The pistol range let's u adjust how far u want it. And it's all outside with dividers between each lane. U don't have to worry about brass flying all over u from the next shooter like at bullet hole. Helpful?

A: An outstanding place to target shoot. Clean well maintain and very well manage. Courteous staff, no mud to content when it rains and on the plus side a discount if you are law enforcement or military, retired or not. Fees are more than resonable with no time limit while shooting. Cannot beat this place. Joe H. Saucedo

A: Its like 11 bucks for a target

Q: Can my 14yr old go to the pistol range and shoot?

A: As has been answered in this Forum multiple times, yes children are allowed. Anyone operating a firearm that is not of age to purchase the firearm must be supervised by an adult of age.

- Daniel Peer (6 years ago)

A: Bring her and don't forget hearing and eye protection

- Jack Taylor (6 years ago)

A: Yes, of course, adult supervision required

- Jorge Velazquez (6 years ago)

A: Supervised yes

- Logan Malone (6 years ago)

Q: Can you bring your own target for them to put up at the rifle range?

A: Do they provide certification training for permit

- Ruben Benavidez (6 years ago)

A: On the handgun range.

- JackSprat Traveling Homesteader (7 years ago)

A: Only on the pistol range.. NOT the rifle range..

- JiMY FiNGRS (7 years ago)

A: You can bring your own target for the handgun range, but not on the rifle range. Reason being that they have a variety of lanes for the rifle range and have pre-set targets.

- Orlando Gonzalez (7 years ago)

A: I'm not real sure, I've only seen the supplied target. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

- Yvonne Doron (7 years ago)

Q: Can I shoot steel case 762×39 ammo?

A: Yes

- Kyle Lingelbach (3 years ago)

Q: I think itΓÇÖs great that you offer discounts for Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders (Fire/EMS) but what about us few credentialed US Merchant Mariners who live in the area?

A: Send em a quick message via FB or call for info! Have a good one!

- Enrique Martinez (5 years ago)

A: Ask them

- William Lipsey (5 years ago)

Q: Does this range have a gunsmith?

A: Yes

- Allen Reiley (6 years ago)

Q: We are visiting Texas from England in the spring. Is it possible to shoot a Colt 45 Peacemaker and a Winchester rifle please? It's been a boyhood dream.

A: I asked the same question, and I was told they do not offer those for rent. I would search some other places online.

- Paul Hunte (a year ago)

Q: How much is it?

A: It was pretty reasonable. $10/$13 per stall depending on military status. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful at all times also.

- SURREAL75 YT (3 years ago)

Q: How much is class for ltc?

A: They have class various times throughout the year! I would call to confirm time, dates, and costs! Very reasonable & affodable! Website has vast amounts of info as well!

This is decent shooting range, cheap prices, the only thing is they don't allow fast fire. 1 shot per second only.

I loved it here! It was me & my hubby took first time. You get your own stall. It's relaxing. They're professional & polite! The rules are given for everyone's safety & then they let you do your thing. I noticed the trainer looking from afar for the first 2 minutes. I appreciated that it was from afar & not breathing down our backs. Also just ensuring we were being safe. It was a great experience & we will be going back!

A Place to Shoot came highly recommended for a local range with a diversity range of options and a good price. The front desk staff, while not particularly friendly, were professional and thorough. The range staff, Rick, was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. When our pistol kept jamming, Rick helped us out and gave us pointers. I take one star off for the faulty piece. That thing should be taken out of commission for wasting so much of our time. Avoid the smallest pistol chambered in 22 at all costs!

Professional and courteous staff. Range fees are among the best around. Shooting stalls have monoculars and rifle holders to assist with sighting in your scope. Targets are neatly affixed and ready to go. I highly recommend this place. Heads up: The road along the way is a bit bumpy, so drive with caution.

This was my fifth time there doing the American action shooting and so far IΓÇÖm pretty pleased with it. The staff is very helpful and very low-key the driveway getting there is a little rough, but thatΓÇÖs why I have a truck.

This place made my Texas trip complete. A couple of my friends and I came down to Texas, and I really wanted to go to a gun range because... well, it's Texas! My two friends prior to this experience weren't big on guns, and didn't really plan to stay at this place too long. We as a group have never been to a gun shop or range, and my two friends have never even held a gun before: but Sean and Mike were incredible. Sean was happy to take any firearm off the shelves or out of the display for us to hold em. He was also super informative and just clearly has a passion for firearms - which made the whole experience for my two friends really inviting. After what must have been an hour and a half of, "Oh, what is that one?" Or "Can we see that one?", the dudes energy never fell off a bit, and my friends were ready to shoot. This is where Mike took the show, man. This guy was super inviting, knowledgeable, and threw some humor in there, too. Really took his time with our group and explained everything we needed to know, and then some. The pre-shoot training didn't take long at all, but my friends, who have never held a firearm before; were loading their magazines and putting effective shots down range! They were really good with their gun safety as Mike made the main 3 rules very clear, he was in and out, but made sure to make us know that any question was a good question. Also he was never too far. Plus, the others sharing the range were very kind people as well. We shot a .22, 9mm, then an AR-15 chambered in 5.56, then finally a 12 gauge. Wisely Sean guided us through the different calibers, and we built up gradually to weapons that really kicked! The prices were surprisingly fair. My friends really liked the 9mm, but man, when we got in those 5.56 rounds, my group had ear-to-ear smiles all around. 6 part is that we were far from the biggest, loudest firearms sending downrange that evening, hahaha. The 12 gauge was shot in a clay shooting range with moving targets, which was a great way to kick off some competition between my group and I. All-in-all, this place really, and I mean really made our trip to Texas special and truly encapsulated the pharse of "Southern Hospitality." So whether you are Beginner, Experienced, or even a Novice; you have to come down to A Place to Shoot, especially if traveling, because your trip would be complete without it. (P.S. Remember when I said my friends weren't planning on staying long? Well, we were there for about 5 hours, with the sun setting on what turned into a great day) 👍 👌

Best place to go shooting

We cannot speak highly enough of this range. Both our Sales consultant, Matt and our Range officer, Rick made the process so smooth, fun and safe. As relative beginners and a little nervous, they advised on the best guns to shoot for my Wife and I. They also gave extensive safety briefings, both in store and on the range. Rick took the time to demonstrate, observe us and provide feedback on our technique. He made the whole experience fun and easy. Value for money is also top-notch. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to gain this experience.
