Abilene Indoor Gun Range

Q: do you have to book an appointment or is it a walk in type deal. and whatΓÇÖs the pricing like ?
A: It's is walk in type and $20 person or $15 if your LEO/Military and $1 for ears, eyes and targets if you need them.

Q: I don't own a guns "yet" do you provide weapons to rent and shoot at the range?
A: Yes you can rent different guns and fore them at the range.
- John Taylor (4 years ago)
Q: How much does the range cost? I have my own handgun.
A: $20, or $15 if you're Military. I think LEOs get a discount as well
- Paul Freed (5 years ago)
Q: I dont have much experience in guns. I would like to try to learn more, even if I dont buy one for several years. Where do I start? Do I rent a gun, then get the license, then buy a gun? What do I do first?
A: I would suggest taking a beginner handgun class. A carry class would start you with good skills and understanding, plus discuss all safety and legal issues. You should be able to rent\borrow a handgun at that time. Then return to the range to rent several. Even if others like a particular brand or style whatever you choose should fit your hand as well as your style. Caliber-wise there are several good reasons to choose 9 mm. Starting with cost per round and manageable recoil. There are many opinions online to consider as well. Personnel at the range would be glad to help you find something suitable. Don't get in a hurry or you might end up with an expensive paper weight.

A: A license is not required to purchase a firearm in Texas. Attend a NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course. You can attend the class on line, but in person is better. I would rent or borrow before you buy. Watch videos on YouTube about firearms you are interested in Borrowing will be a lot cheaper than renting.

Q: Can I get a job here at 17?
A: Just call them, but you PROBABLY have to be either 18 or 21
- William Sydnes (6 years ago)
Q: Are any gunsmithing services available? (Cleaning Ruger Standard .22 semiautomatic, trigger job Taurus Judge, etc)
A: Yes they have a service dept.
- Scooter Tramp (Smokey) (6 years ago)
Q: Can 15 yearolds shoot the machine guns
A: With parent or legal guardian
- B B (6 years ago)
A: There isn't an age limit on shooting as long as they are with adult supervision and the guns are legal.
- E Bulsterbaum (6 years ago)
Q: Can you rent guns
A: Yes
- Terence Painter (7 years ago)
A: YES, you can.
- E Bulsterbaum (7 years ago)
A: Yes you can. $15 for handguns, $20 for rifles and they have a wide range of to choose from. You can call them and actually ask them if they have the one you'd like to rent ahead of time too.
- Samantha Rummel (7 years ago)
Q: What are the requirements in order to use gun range??
A: Sign a waiver. Name and address for first time shooters at the range. Range fee, rental fee(if you use their guns), and target fee (a dollar or two for paper target at which to shoot).
- David J. (7 years ago)
A: Leave your DL, pay the $15 rental if you rent a handgun, you can pay $20 if you aren't a member but I'd look into membership because the unlimited visits are well worth it.. Pay $1-2 depending upon the target, and for your eyes and ears and ammo unless ya have your own... I think it's just typical range requirements except the price list may be a little different... And know which range area you can and cannot use... Which isn't a big deal deal, simple enough.. Don't use a shotgun where it says, "NO SHOTGUNS" - - but just call them and ask anything ya are curious about.. They're open every day until 1900 and are always great folks!
- Samantha Rummel (7 years ago)
A: You can rent a gun or bring your own, bring your ear and eye protection or use theirs. You rent range time.
- E Bulsterbaum (7 years ago)
A: Old enough to own the firearm youre bringing in. Bring eye and ear protection if you have it, or you can rent it there
- Lone Star Bushcraft (7 years ago)
Q: My chl expired in2004. Can I renew it without retakingt The course?
A: No, after one year you must retake the course. Good news is the course is shorter now.
- Terence Painter (7 years ago)
A: If I want a Firearm shipped to y'all (as an FFL) is there a charge?
- Michael Obert (4 years ago)
A: You have to redo everything because there law changing renewals to not have to redo the qualification wasn't till 2013 and did not grandfather prior licenses. After this any class certification is good for 2 yrs to do initial submission.

They were super helpful when I went to apply for my Silencer stamps. I didn't know anything about it, but they helped through it all. Literally a one stop shop. The second I received my confirmation email, they were calling me to come pick them up! Super fast and highly recommend.

Stocked and plenty of different options. The indoor gun range was very nice but wasn't that clean. There were several casings all over the ground from previous shooters that didn't pick up their brass. Afterwards we cleaned most of it up with the broom that was in there. All in all it's a nice facility and you should check it out.

Staff ignores you and one if not more members of staff are hosting a bed bug hotel and passing the bedbugs onto the customers entering the store. This is confirmed that one member of staff in particular does in fact have a severe bedbug infestation and the management and owners do not care one tiny bit about it meaning when you go into their gun shop you may be leaving with new guest. If you visited this shop and then ended up with bugs and are not sure how then there is your answer.

From the minute I stepped into this gun shop I felt welcomed and appreciated. Everyone was friendly and wanted to be helpful. All during the process of buying an NFA Class III product the staff was there to assist. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I highly recommend you shop and shoot here.

Visited the area to do a helicopter hog hunt and came in here twice for some full auto shooting, shot the G36 and Colt AR 9. Super fun, great counter staff, lots of guns for sale, lots of ammo!

Great selection of guns! Friendly staff! Indoor range is kind of expensive if you're not a member at 20/lane I believe. They give first responder, military discount.

Staff is mostly ok. Old guy in the back room with the guns needs to get with the times and realize that women use, and handle, weapons too. I always feel like I have to take my husband in there with me for them to take me seriously. It's obnoxious.

My son and I had a private lesson with an instructor, Brinkley, who made the experience a 12/10! I couldn't speak more highly of him or the place! Will definitely be going back! He, with his Veteran, Sherrif, and SWAT experience teaching and guiding everything as planned helped us feel confident, safe, excited, and in good hands the entire time. Glad I made the decision to take us there first! Great prices too!
