Last week I received my first custom built precision rifle from Altus Shooting Solutions. Throughout the process, I worked with Josh Mann at Altus who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient as we discussed different components and pricing. The entire process and cost was transparent throughout. If you're looking to build a Precision Rifle, I highly recommend.

Altus 2 Day Precision Rifle Course I highly recommend this course; the instructor - Ferg's classroom training is exceptionally clear in simplifying the intricacies of long-range shooting. The course begins with a two-hour session devoted to the essentials of rifle handling, from buttstock to muzzle brake. While some might find this introductory level content unappealing, Ferg efficiently covers the basics, ensuring clarity with individual student checks to confirm understanding. His objective is to solidify this knowledge as undeniable facts since mastering PRS relies heavily on understanding your Data On Previous Engagements (DOPE) and shooter control. The vast majority of time, the shooter, not the equipment is the variable that will decide a hit or miss. The curriculum highlights the use of a Kestrel for basic operations. Although some might arrive to class with prior knowledge, I initially underestimated its importance, thinking of it as merely an additional accessory. However, by the end of the first day, both myself and the class were hitting targets consistently from 300 to over 900 yards, proving its indispensability. If you're questioning the expense, weigh it against the cost of ammunition and the time you'd spend adjusting shots manually. My standout moment was hitting a steel target dead center at 1100 yards on a windy day with my first shot - that says it all. Curious about engaging targets at unknown distances without a laser range finder? This course not only teaches this skill but also lets you apply it in real-world scenarios. ItΓÇÖs just basic math and basic common sense, once you understand the math its up to you for the common sense on the target size. The latter part of the second day adds an exciting twist. After spending the first day and half of the second day focusing on stable shooting positions, the final module shifts to PRS-style competition shooting. Even if you think, "I'm not into PRS," this segment is engaging. It involves shooting from unconventional platforms like boulders, inside a school bus, through concrete pipes, from building windows, and off shingled rooftops - scenarios less common in everyday life but relevant for hunting or emergency situations. Ferg provides detailed instructions on body positioning for each environment. The class transitions to an "open range" theme, where participants shoot at will from any available position until they either exhaust their ammo or decide they're satisfied. Overall, the course combines theoretical learning with practical application on the range, making it an invaluable experience for anyone looking to elevate their marksmanship through structured, formal education.

I can't say enough. I originally wanted to book the Precision Rifle Course but thought I did not know enough to take this course. Previously, I had only shot out to about 300 yds and had a basic understanding of my optic. I booked the course and I am glad that I did. First, the instructor really meets each individual where they are. Not only helping you build your foundation but also ensuring that you know the process and information operationally. The instructor for my course, Ferg, was top tier. By the end of day one, everyone in the class was shooting out to 940 yds and back. By the end of day two, I feel like I had a solid understanding. I was shooting out to 1,060 yds in the wind. After the course, I am so much more confident in my ability to shoot accurately. Now, 300 yds is a quick pop shot without a lot of thought and dialing. I can estimate it in my optic and adjust as needed. If you are on the fence or think the you do not know enough to take this class, I'm telling you, you can and they will meet you where you're at. Do it.

Been a member there for over 5 years. The absolutely best shooting range is in the world as far as I'm concerned. Super clean and well maintained . Members Only. A great vetting process for new members. They take for granted that you know what you're doing so there's no range Nazis. Cannot recommend this place enough. Every time I take a guest out there for the first time they're Blown Away by how nice the place is.

I got a 6 dasher barreled by these guys and I couldnΓÇÖt be happier. Once I reloaded Virgin brass the brass only expanded .006. Having said that virgin brass shoots amazing. The service is top notch. They communicate extremely well. The barrel arrived on time. But most importantly this thing is a laser beam!!!!!!! The picture says it all. Thank you guys again!!!

Listen, I definitely do not normally write reviews but, all I can say is Altus deserves all the business they can handle. I ordered a $36 box of ammo, and they hand signed my packing sheet, gave me a pretty cool sticker, and the real kicker, included one of my favorite pieces of candy without even knowing. Seriously it may sound dumb, but this really turned what was a tough day for me around. As a new shooter getting into the sport it is awesome to accidentally find a company like this. Hope you guys keep a bunch of 6 gt in stock, I'll be needing it.

Got my build back from Altus after a relatively quick turnaround, and I don't actually know if I could be any happier with it. Between the overall performance, fit and finish, and costumer service, I can without a doubt say that these people do great work, and I'll certainly be a repeat customer in the future.

I had pre paid for stock to ship to me when it came in. Before the color I chose came in another Manners - TCS came in with the Sykes clutch installed. Micheal worked it where the 1st one was refunded and I bought the one I wanted. I will definitely be doing more business at Atlas Shooting Solutions! Thanks for the great service!
