Multi firing positions on an open field range. Must bring your own targets and stand to hold them. The range is about 100 yards long but you can position your targets at the distance you need within that. The range rules are posted on the WMA site. Rifles only on the range and some limits on which calibers may be used.

Never had a bad time at this place. People have always been respectful to one another and to the rules of the range! Fire arm safety has never been an issue while I've been present here.

Ambidextrous shooting benches, simple lane blocking for target setting. You will need your own target and stand, dirt backstop only.

Cool spot that I hadn't been to in over 10 years. Simple, efficient, and effective. Don't forget to bring your own targets and clean up after yourself

Bring your own target stands. I can not stress this enough.

Google business page shows as open but it is not open after March. Don't waste 2 hours like I did to go see. It is in fact closed.

Perhaps there’s a legitimate reason, but completely closing the range from 4/1——8/31 seems counter to a focus on customer service. During the period when the range is in operation (9/1——3/31) the range is closed every Monday for “range maintenance”, which is laughable because there doesn’t appear to have been any maintenance performed at this place in quite some time, as the steel structures originally in place to hold the targets are not useable. I’d love to give this range a higher rating, and while I’m appreciative of it while it’s open, the complete lack of customer service is unacceptable. To complete my rant, the website also says the range may be closed during other times and this “will be posted on site”!?!?!?? In 2023, you’d think the range closing on a day it’s typically open would be posted somewhere online; the website, Twitter, Facebook, etc. But nope! You’re expected to, in my case, make the 45 minute drive to see if they’re open! Yes, that obviously happened to me last year… I’m sure nobody from AWM will even see this or, if they do see it, will care enough to make any changes with the customer in mind, but it’d sure be nice. To end on a positive note, every park ranger I’ve encountered at this range, the shotgun field down the road, or fishing in the nearby lake, have been very friendly, helpful, and professional.

Somebody said in an earlier review "For snipers only." A 100 yd. ranger for snipers? Ridiculous! Snipers shoot way, way farther than that. As for the range: pathetic.Tiny openings to shoot through. No target frames or any other structure on which you can hang a target. I have never been to a worse equipped range. If you decide to shoot there, be sure to bring something you can hammer into the ground so you have a way to hang targets.

Do not go to shoot here. The schedule said open but it was closed. Total waste of time.

The shooting range is not what I expected. It's really designed just for scoping in rifles, not for sport shooting. Shooters are limited to bench shooting through ports and the firing line is actually kind of claustrophobic. It's very DIY and rudimentary, with no range safety officer. You're supposed to have a use permit if you don't have a hunting or fishing license, but someone said that they're never checked.

Covered shooting range with benches for shooting and behind them for people to sit on. Only six lanes, so there might be a wait. Bring clothespins for your targets. The clientele was very friendly.

Cheap or free. If you do t have a Virginia hunting/fishing license then you can pay $4 for an access pass that is valid for one day. Much busier than I had thought however. I got there at 2pm. Finally was able to get to a table at 3:30pm and I was second in line. Several people were on tables for well more than an hour. There are no sandbags or anything to support a rifle on. Bring a bipod or equivalent. Either a high power scope or bring a spotting scope to examine shots as you make them. Expect 20 minutes before everyone is finished with their shot group to examine/replace targets For $4 you cannot beat it. However it does have it's downsides.
