When I first joined the range, I gave it 4 stars. After being part of the range for 2 years, I am bumping the rating up to 5 stars. This organization is at the tip of the spear for NJ gun owners. They have sued NJ and won a major case. They are continuously pushing against our corrupt government. This 100% completely justifies range dues. Second is the range. Very clean. Great ammenidies. Fair prices at the range shop. RO are great. The range takes safety seriously. Follow the rules and you won't get reemed out. When I started there wasn't as much steel targets but I love popping the steel at the 100 range. Overall you should support the organization and check out the range. Lots of fun and worth the trip up there!

The range provides multiple shooting lanes for different types of firearms and archery. There are designated areas for both outdoor shooting and archery practice. Safety is a top priority, and the range has strong rules and guidelines to ensure a secure shooting environment for all participants. Membership is generally required but friends as guests can be accompanied. The range is open year round, but there may be specific hours of operation as the seasons allow. It's advisable to check in advance. Located in a natural setting, the range offers a picturesque backdrop, making it a pleasant place for shooting enthusiasts to practice their skills. The range may host various events, training sessions, and competitions, catering to shooters of all skill levels.

Would be 5 stars but the older RSO's act like children power tripping on younger members, the younger ones, I've never had an issue with. I had one come up to me annoyingly in my face, as a member I had my badge around my neck, says nothing to me, grabs my badge and inspects it. Show some mutual respect and use your words, ask me to turn the badge around. It's toddler behavior grabbing whatever you want, mind you he stepped off the pistol line, into the parking lot taking his eyes off the rest of the active range just to do so. On another occasion I had my girlfriend on the .22 range as a guest, while she's standing at my car an RSO approached and started yelling "IS SHE SHOOTING". confused us for a second because she was at the car, proceeds to keep screaming "is she shooting" like a chimp, finally he figured out how to use his words and asked to see her guest badge because her shirt had slightly covered it, and exclaims aggressively "I need to be able to see that" and gets back in his little kart and rolls away. Had he just gotten out and asked do you have a guest badge like a competent adult, situation would've ben avoided all together, but he was angry he had to get out of his little go-kart and actually do something.

I have belonged to this range for many years, and I truly enjoyed going here. For the price you're not gonna find a better outdoor range in New Jersey. The main reason though I gave it four stars is because some of the people that work there are not very nice and some of the range officers Think very highly of themselves and treat some of the members like garbage. If some of the people that work, there were given a nice talking to about how to treat people or maybe some changes were made with some of the people. This range could easily become a five star establishment.

I have been here as a guest a couple of times now. If I lived closer, I would get my own membership. This place is great. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have short and long range rifle ranges, 22 range, shotgun range and pistol range. I love their 22 range as they have a large assortment of steal targets of varying size and distance. Also their pistol range has steal you can shoot at as well.

Cherry Ridge is a great place to shoot, been a member for over 15 years. I appreciate the job the ROΓÇÖs have to keep the range safe. The only negative I have are the new concrete benches on the 100 yard range. They are too low, small and uncomfortable to shoot from. I once had a conversation with RO Earl about these benches, his exact words, ΓÇ£they messed upΓÇ¥. Other members have the same opinion as well, but I still give Cherry Ridge 5 stars.

Loaded review here. Only shot here once at the 100yard range. Had a great time and met awesome people. As everyone knows by the reviews the RO's take their job seriously. And honestly you can't blame them. Have you seen the state of the world? I feel like everyone has lost their minds. Even people driving. Can't trust anyone. Anyway, classic RO almost threw a guy out for calling the range safe with too many people on the range. Which again, I totally understand. The property and amenities are great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Safety is paramount here and that's great, I don't want to be shot trying to retrieve a target. My only bugaboo is the lack of advanced matches. I would love to see two gun or brutality matches. I'm going to petition the board, and perhaps see if we can pool resources together to get actual matches. I know for a fact we can do this safely. This would be a huge draw for new people wanting to join the range. And it would increase people's ability with their firearms. If you shoot bench all day long you'll never get any better all around, in fact it might hurt you. You have to push the limits of your self to manipulate the firearm and your body.

Let me preface this review with with the fact that I love this range, I love that my membership dues contribute to the legal defense of the Second Amendment in the state of New Jersey. I must, however contest the presence of cranky old retired range officer men that take out their ED on innocent people looking to enjoy theyΓÇÖre day at the range. IΓÇÖm all about safety as I am a member of several ranges throughout the state. Please take it down a notch. Respectfully, a hard working professional that loves to shoot.
