Q: What's the fees? Thanks

A: Annual membership is ~$100, then $5 cover, otherwise cover is $15 for as many guns and as long as you want. We always just reserve a bay for an hour if one is available.

This is a great outdoor range, period. Some of the bad reviews are over some seriously spoiled, self serving bs. First, there's nothing "trashy" about it. The grounds are well maintained and the target stands are fine. The stands get shot up by people that can't aim, that's just how it goes at ANY range. If they hold your target then what's the issue? Second, the ol feller that runs the place is extremely friendly. Just say hello and you'll get a smile and some great stories. The other gentleman doesn't speak much, or at all. That doesn't mean he's mean, it just means you're an easily offended baby. You're paying to shoot firearms, not be sprinkled with rainbows so get over yourself. Third, this is a gun club. They assume you can shoot and that you understand firearm safety. If you're new to shooting or don't understand firearm safety then please take a begginer class. Then come back with a better attitude. For anyone that knows how to shoot safely at a range this place is spot on. There's plenty of good lanes and distances were you can enjoy some private shooting. The price is competitive and you get a target. They also have cool shooting events, especially skeet.

Simple bare bones range. Don't have to walk over people to get a spot. It's a place to shoot not a restaurant or social club, people working are straight forward and told me everything i needed to know. If you need your hand held and a conversation go somewhere else. I'll definitely be back.

Great place to shoot. IΓÇÖve been going there for thirty years. J.M. The owner is one of the best people you will ever meet. ItΓÇÖs what a gun club should be. IΓÇÖd give it ten stars if I could.

Great place for weapons training and practice skeet at your own place. Not for noobies unless you have your coach with you. Come prepared.

It's a great place to shoot at. No frills, you just go out, set up, and start shooting. I've never been there outside of a work function, so I'm not sure of the prices, but I'm sure it's reasonable.

Yeah .. this place is interesting. Been here a few times. Experiences can be hit-n-miss (pun intended). First time here, the ol’ man behind the counter was gruff and ornery. Next visit, as I was driving in he flagged me down to tell me how the shooters were destroying the backstops and costing him money. 🤪 Oh and the other guy behind the counter reminded me and my friend of something out of the Whitaker family (see Soft White Underbelly on YT for explanation). To clarify, I genuinely attempted a conversation with him and he was having none of that so I gracefully disengaged. Now from a shooter perspective, 1) the ranges are laid out ok with the exception that the skeet downrange trajectory overlaps on the back half of the rifle range so replacing the 100yd targets can be a bit hazardous, and 2) there’s no real range master unless you count the occasional scanning glimpse from the ol’ man whom I’m guessing is more concerned about damage to the backstops than customer safety. Overall, it’s not a terrible range, just not as good as it could be: a bit mis-managed and not delivering on its full potential.

Place is excellent for experienced shooters who like their privacy. Good separation from other shooters. New TM-22 , 22LR groups sighting in at 40 yards. Good plinker.

Big disappointment for ranges. Not a good first impression at all. Very poorly ran business. This gun club needs work, lots of work! We were guests of a lifetime member, were looking forward to sending rounds down range and once you rebuild, if possible target backboards, you might get to shoot. But look out for other shooters as everyone seems to only focus on what they're doing and not what or where other shooters are. Older gentlemen working the office isn't friendly and wouldn't even speak to us, the customer. 1. Target backings/boards are all in severely bad shape, if even still standing and need replacing, rebuild or build. 2. Surprised to see they don't make you clean up your own brass. Lazy management or ownership? 3. Trap shooting was next to the one rifle range and they kept shooting into the range making it difficult to go down range to retrieve or look at our targets. 4. Zero range control and observed several unsafe acts from other shooters. We don't enjoy ranges where the control is so strict or tight that you get yelled at or kicked off, but this place needs something safety wise. This could be a well run and established gun club and range, but lots need to be improved upon.

What I liked : Even though i havent held a gun before they let me very spontaneously shoot some rounds. What I didnt like: Nobody even greeted us. They acted like they where annoyed of us beeing even here, even though I was a paying customer(and it certainly wasnΓÇÖt cheap!) They charged 50 dollars for showing me how to shoot, but the guy hardly spoke more than two words with me. He then got annoyed because the gun got jammed and blamed it on me. Then proceeded to get a different gun because he realised the gun wasnt working right. He also didnt even say goodbye to us All in all I wouldnΓÇÖt recommend this place

I went for a pistol qualification and was surprised at how simple yet effective the range is. It brings a sense of realism to shooting that you don't practice to enjoy the scenery but rather to focus on your targets. Good shooting range without unnecessary distractions. Safety is key for this range and they expect all of their customer's to handle themselves with this in mind. I'm looking forward to returning.

If you've never been to the Bandera Gun Club shooting range... DON'T! It's the worst run gun range I've ever seen. Very run down. Disorganized too! Don't waste your time. It's a pitiful excuse for a gun range. Double the prices if you need to in order to update the facilities. Bad bad bad!

This is a family owned business. A simple friendly facility that promotes youth shooting sports, home to the seven time state champion Bandera County 4H Shotgun Team. Great skeet and trap fields with lots of pistol and rifle ranges. Reasonable prices and quality facilities.

Many reviews here about the man being rude there. However, this is exactly my type of range. They leave you alone and you go about your business. You are your own Range Master. $15 a head (no time limit) and it even comes with a target.

Great place to shoot, family owned and operated. One staff member is laconic, so don't expect him to engage in a conversation on Whitman, tort law or micro-brewing. He knows his stuff. That he works there speaks extremely well of the owner. If you want a comfortable place to enjoy espresso & stimulating conversation, there is a Starbucks only 24 miles away in Boerne. Bottom line is I would rather shoot here than other ranges that are closer. Oh, and if you are really put off by conservative politics, well look in the mirror and tell yourself "I need to learn to be tolerant, just like I tell all those other people I don't agree with."

I decided to bring out my family to shoot even after reading the negative reviews. Save yourself the $20 per person and go shoot anywhere else. I live 15 minutes away and will never go back. The place is trashy and unkept. The guy who works there is extremely rude. ItΓÇÖs like an imposition that you are there. Learn from my mistake and go to a legitimate range.
