Banner Shooting Range

This is one of those sad "no rapid fire" ranges with a lot of pointless infrastructure because they think people will just start capping each other if there isn't a plywood wall between each bay. A good range only needs 3 high berms and an open walled shelter. Stop catering to lame, chunky, out of shape, fuds who ND into their hunting dogs every 3 years.

Great staff. We came to Des Moines to a a national competition and brought wrong ammo. Supper accommodating and willing to give support. Both kids ended up top 15 in the world and came away with National Title. Thanks for your help!!!

Been coming here for years and it's always a good place to shoot. The officers on staff manage it well and it feels safe. They have rife lanes, pistol and even trap. The kids love the steel targets for. 22. It is very loud with the concrete tubes, but other than that it's always fun.

Cool lil place. Wish their family packages were better. Would make it more frequent of a visit. But outside of that its a nice place to shoot

Easy, quick check-in. Shooting bay was pretty clean of used brass. Broom and bucket shared with neighboring bay. Free to shoot and cheap targets sold in the office

Me and my wife have been in there today, our first experience at a shooting range. It was nice, the staff is kind and helpfull. We feel safety and rules are clear. We'll be back for sure.

Banner is a great outdoor range. the staff has allways been respectful and helpful. They have a pretty cool 22cal Lane just for 22 it has abunch of little steel targets in it. You can also shoot trap and bow at this place. It's kind of a drive for me but it's worth it. Been going for 5+ years now and never had a single issue. I've definitely had issues at other places so I just come here now.

Compared to Banner Pits of the 1980s and before this is a total transformation that needed to be done before someone was killed. I cannot tell you how many times I had bullets flying around me back in the day. It was like walking past the wire in a combat zone You know what I mean when you hear the "bumble bees" flying by you! Today it is staffed with good people and is a very clean and safe range.

Range was great!! Very safe and organized environment. Veek was great, and the other 2 guys were great, I just can't remember there names. My new go to!!!

Great place to shoot, staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. This will be my primary location to shoot, bit of a drive for me but well worth it. Will see you guys soon!!!
