Purchased my new Mathews bow and have nothing but a rave review. Tate is an Exceptional asset to this outdoor store. I'm an avid bow hunter and its been years since i purchased a new bow. Tate walk me through everything. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable with archery, but he is also patient and a tireless worker to make sure everything is tailored to your needs. All while juggling other customers. Thank you Tate/Benton shooters for making this a great experience.

Do not take your bow here for tuning or installs. I purchased a used bow and brought it here for tuning, sight install, add a D loop, and arrow rest install. They spent less than 10 minutes on it and were finished. I asked if we should do anything else to it and I was told no. They did not paper tune it. I recommend going to Harvest Archery in Dayton. They squared me away.

The absolute worse prices I have seen anywhere. They have plenty of ammo and firearms in stock but Bass Pro is even beating them. ThatΓÇÖs sad.

For being the only gun store in 40 miles, they have really high prices, and zero rounds of 5.56 the most popular rifle round in the US, except a 1000 box. Used guns were more than academy or Palmetto state for new. I have heard the radio commercials and was sorry I stopped in.

They never followed up with an appeal, lost my business completely, its ok to them though because they sell a lot of firearms but i bet that extra 0 at the end of every month really would have been nice to someone there but now it belongs to a competitor that truly cares for their customers.

I'm sure if you are local or friends with the employees you would love this store, but I wouldn't suggest driving any great distance. I made a special trip to this store and was completely ignored the entire time. 3 people behind the gun counter and not one of them even acknowledged my presence. I slowly looked at every handgun they had giving every opportunity for at least 1 person to say hi. I then stood aimlessly looking at these gentlemen behind the counter and still not one word. I can't speak of their products because I didn't make a purchase, but what seems like a small hometown business isn't run like a small hometown business that cares about its customers.

Worth the extra drive from Athens. Always best possible gun prices(ammo is a different story, it's quite overpriced) Although the salesman was not at all enthusiastic, the wonderful lady running the register made up for him.
