Best Shot Range
Family-owned facility providing an indoor shooting range, educational classes & retail products.

Q: what is the minimum age for supervised shooters?
A: We offer Youth Shooting Camps to children as young as 8-years-old! That said, we ask that patrons use an appropriate amount of discretion when deciding to let their children (or grandchildren, as the case may be) shoot along side them. We encourage a tradition of shooting together as a family! We hope to see you and your grandson at the Range!

Q: Are you allowed to come practice alone?
A: Hi, Christian - If you are over the age of 18, you may shoot at the Range unaccompanied; however, you must be over the age of 21 to shoot a handgun. If you do not have any prior shooting experience, you are still welcome to shoot alone, but we do encourage that you speak with our Staff to receive the safety-and-handling instruction that you need. I hope this answers your question. We hope to see you at the Range!

Q: New at this. Can i get gun transferred in my name if i bought from my cousin.and how much..Thanks
A: Why bring the Gov't into things they don't need to be in? Private gun sales are legal. If he is worried about his liability, just do a bill of sale.

Q: Do you offer basic handgun safety classes for a small group of family members?

Q: Have a 45 that I inherited from my father upon his death. What papers do I need to bring it to learn and practice?z
A: Hi, Patricia - You do not need any papers to bring the gun to our Range to shoot. What we recommend is a thorough cleaning of the firearm, scheduling a Personal Learn-to-Shoot if you are new to shooting, and some consistent Range time to increase your comfort/safety with and improve your handling of the gun. Please call the Range directly (281-648-7468) if you have additional questions about scheduling a Learn-to-Shoot lesson. Thank you for your inquiry, and we look forward to having you at Best Shot Range!

Q: Do you offer lessons on all aspects of gun, shooting and concealed hand gun permits for a person that knows nothing. Thank you
A: Hi ~ Thank you for your question. Yes, we work with individuals at any level of experience. You can call the Range to schedule a Personal Learn-to-Shoot, which is a one-on-one introduction to firearm handling and safety along with basic shooting instruction -- this can be scheduled at your convenience. You can also Register Online for an upcoming License To Carry course, which usually takes place a couple times each month. We offer many different options for Membership, which will make it easy to visit the Range for regular target practice, as well as make you eligible for discounts on many of the products we offer for sale, including ammo! Please feel free to contact the Range directly with any further questions. 281.648.7468 ~ Take care!

Me and my grandson went to the range this evening and was helped by Sean. He took the time to show my grandson his glock with an upgraded trigger as my grandson has a glock also. I needed my Benelli shotgun put togther and Sean was nice enough to do that for me. Great customer service!!!

Terrible customer service. You should never get to the point where you are arguing with your customers no matter what the situation is. Brantley had no courtesy for customers. Manager Saach needs to do a better job training his people. This place will do with just few adjustments.

I bought a pistol online and had it sent to this gun range. I called and spoke to someone on the phone about when I could pick up the gun- I wasnΓÇÖt given any useful information, so I drove to the range to speak with someone to get clarity. I got there and tried to speak with the older woman there but she didnΓÇÖt even look up at me when I spoke to her. She finally acknowledged me and raised her voice at me- silly me for thinking that I would get a certain caliber of interaction- as this place is in friendswood. I was definitely wrong. Terrible customer service. IΓÇÖm not sure if it was a race thing or what the issue was, but i will never go back here.

Customer service is horrible. Chubby round face man in the front. Never once smiles or greets you. Barely says anything just runs paperwork and and says hi and bye as he stares at the computer screen. lol.

Pretty good range. I was in the area because my wife and daughter had a painting class nearby. So I looked it up and checked it out, went to shoot my Walther. The staff seemed pretty friendly and I liked how the lobby was setup.

its been a very long time since I have been back to this location, but to major things that make this range hard for me to justify going back, are a few things. One they have two separate areas, one for hand guns and the other for rifles. and you have to pay for each one. Which in my opinion is completely bogus, compared to other ranges that allow you to shot both. The other thing is that they don't allow rapid fire, I took and AR15 to this location and shot off a few quick rounds and sure enough I had an employee come call me out about it. Also one last thing about it is that this place is not ventilated well, or may not be vented at all. If you are just going for specifically one purpose to shoot your handgun or a rifle, then by all means check out, but if your like me and want to shoot both your handguns and rifles, and not have to pay double the price, then I wouldn't recommend this place.

Same experience as the following person. I think I have a pretty good aim (see the attached picture), but the young lady said I shot their metal thing and charged $80. Unacceptable and will take business to the Webster place unless they fix it. ΓÇöΓÇöΓÇöΓÇöΓÇöΓÇöΓÇö They charged me 80 bucks for couple scratches on a piece of metal to hang on the target, they tricked with the form you have to sign before you enter the range. IΓÇÖve been here many times before and never had any problem, I think this is new owner and they tried to rip me off.

I love this range. The people are very friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond several times to provide help, service and value (this includes the staff as well as the owner). I purchased a yearly membership. I just go in, check in and shoot. The targets are included. Not only is the staff great but I've enjoyed meeting and exchanging knowledge with very cool people, there to shoot, improve, and learn. Also, there's a huge selection, online, of firearms and accessories. (Wendy had to help me find it 😆) This is my FFL dealer, and I've made several purchases with them.

Took my two grandsons to the rifle range. One of them hit a.steel plate that holds the targets. The only damage was a loss of some place paint and a small lead deposit. I was charged $80 for damages. Won't be returning!!!

My New favorite gun range in the Houston area! The employees were very polite towards me and my boys. Very clean range, it's set up very well. Very good ventilation and the shooting lanes we're very nice. The employees loved talking about their store and their inventory. I'm excited about going to the gun range again. Thanks everyone. See you soon.

This range like most other ranges like to throw back handed comments at younger shooters. IΓÇÖve shot over 25,000 rounds in my life and IΓÇÖm 24. And they still manage to try and gate-keep/pick you apart.

Friendly and fantastic service. I signed up for a personal learn-to-shoot class for my husband and I. This was my first experience with a gun, while my husband had prior knowledge and wanted a refresher. Andrew provided excellent instruction on handling and firing the weapon. He also was very patient and informative when teaching us about gun safety, marksmanship, and maintenance. I recommend taking a class here if you are a first-timer.

It is a good range. However it's near double what you would pay at others, plus it's timed. It'd be a last resort pick.
