Big Hollow Shooting Range

Q: What are some range lengths they have?
A: They have a 25 yard range and a 100 yard range. When I was there last they also had gongs at 200 and 400 yards.

I tried to shoot here about a month ago; IΓÇÖm an experienced shooter and showed up to the range with my father and a friend. There were two RSOΓÇÖs supervising 3 young kids learning on .22ΓÇÖs. I introduced myself and asked if it would be alright if we used the nearby unoccupied range that was separate from the area where the kids were shooting. I had been to this range area in question once before to shoot a suppressor that was in ATF jail with the local FFL I purchased it from. We shot all sorts of rifles and handguns no problem, no constant RSO supervision needed, and the RSO at that time even came to chat for a bit before going to the other long range rifle section up the hill. The RSO that we ran into this last month became flustered after I asked about the other area and said, ΓÇ£no, that range is for handguns onlyΓÇ¥ and we had multiple rifles and handguns of various calibers with us. He then said we would only be allowed one person at a time to shoot, and only while an RSO was right there with us, and all rifles needed to be unloaded and stored on a rack. We promptly left and went to Park City Gun Club instead. This range is disorganized, confusing, and has extremely limited operating hours. I hope things improve and experienced, safe shooters are allowed to shoot at their own pace, as advertised.

Great environment. It's a great place to go shooting, and you can bring your own targets or use some left behind by others. It's laid back in the right ways, but everything is safe as well. I love going here for a nice, relaxing few hours of shooting with some friends or family.

Go to the WMA land nearby, itΓÇÖs free shooting and no need for a range safety officer. Great location here in Heber!

Very professional, approachable instructors. Laid back atmosphere. A little tough to find, and the shooting areas arenΓÇÖt flashy, but is that really what youΓÇÖre looking for? Go there and shoot.

Nice little free shooting range. A range safety has to be scheduled for you to be able to shoot. Check their website to see if somebody is going to be there before you head over.

I took my extended family here for a family reunion activity on a Saturday morning. The range officer was awesome. Friendly, and very accommodating. No cost to shoot? Fantastic range!

They have limited hours of operations but the times that they are open you will have an amazing time. The range officers are very friendly and are there for your safety and education. If I could choose any range in the state it would be this one. There is also a shotgun range right behind it. Best part is that it is free.(minus what you spend on ammo of course)

Never open, the only people allowed in on STATE land are the ones with keys. Fix it for gods sake.

Very helpful range masters that want you to have a good time and improve upon your skills. Never felt any pressure, and always felt safe. The range offers 100 yard rifle/pistol areas and a skeet range. I had a blast, it's subsidized by the city and managed by blm I believe, so no cost. Really cool place!
