Q: Will this event still go on with this stupid coronavirous going around

A: I hope so .

- Burt Spearmint (4 years ago)

Q: So can the general public shoot any (all) the weapons there & what's the cost?

A: There is a rental booth that ha a good selection. But like a shooting range you can't walk up to shooters (strangers to you) and shoot there stuff. You can, anyone can pay to get a spot on the shooting line to shoot whatever you bring, even if it isn't full auto. Again rental booth has a good selection and has a great staff to help you

- Donald G (4 years ago)

A: Yes, kind of... There is usually a rental booth. However, no...you can not just walk up with your personal firearm and shoot unless you have requested a shooters booth

- D W (Will) (4 years ago)

A: I'm a little confused, basically it's more like a spectator shooting event? And no, I meant can the public shoot the big guns that they're shooting all weekend?

- Suzy (4 years ago)

Q: Can I rent firearms? And do you guys do automatics?

A: During the public shoots, held in March and October, there is a daytime rental tent available with several weapon systems from subguns to the beltfed tripod mounted 50BMG. If you want something more, contact Kenton 602-327-7933 for a custom private rental option. You will have a range officer assigned and you can request specific weapons. This can also be run at night. This is during the public, biannual events.

Ed and Kenton do a fine job. The ladies are nice at the gate everyone is super friendly professionally run. You'll have a great time here. It's the greatest shoot in the world. Safety is first. So it's a safe environment for kids 10 and up

The Big Sandy Machine Gun Night Shoot is a must for anyone loving Freedom and Camaraderie! Bring Your Kids and get them started on Protecting Our Rights and encouraging Gun Safety. Not to mention have a "Blast" checking out some of the coolest Old School and craziest New School Weaponry out there!

It was super disappointing that they didn't do any controlled burns or range maintenance and had to ban tracers at the night shoot on Saturday, 2023. Half the people packed up and left at 4pm because there was no point in staying if they couldn't use anything they brought with. 😭

The twice a year shoot is great! Be safe: however much water you think you need for your trip there, triple it, then bring some spares for people who didn't bring enough.

Come here for the best fireworks show in the country. Lots of neat stuff, comradary, and sometimes even tanks or artillery. Guys that run it keep everyone safe and make it better each shoot.

Of all the places in the world to shoot tracers at RC planes in the dark from belt fed machine guns, this is the best by far.

The best machine gun event this side of military service. The 4H kids put on a great meal and is always worth the trip up. Bravo Zulu! Look forward to going twice every year

Knobb Creek has nothing on this event. Get up close and personal with the exhibits and owners. Twice a year every year. It's expensive but it's all for a great cause. America.
