Update after the business replied: Totally understandable that a business couldnΓÇÖt carry every size of specialty head spaces gauges. I would have liked to have been informed of this before having the service performed (after many calls/emails). The most frustrating part was the pricing was not communicated prior to performing the service. Disappointed by this response. What a nice facility! Great selection of products and tons of activities for everyone including their shotgun course, indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. Truly impressed by the variety they carry and the pricing seemed reasonable. They also stand behind the products they sell by putting a lifetime warranty on them which I though was so cool. I came to Blackwing to get one of my firearms looked at after being recommended to them by a friend. It took a couple calls and emails to get connected with their gunsmith. Once I got in contact with Jacob he gave me the rundown on timing/schedule. I brought the firearm in to have it headspace checked. $50 to run a ΓÇ£no-goΓÇ¥ gauge in the chamber seems steep given the gauges themselves only cost $80-$90. I was hoping they would have ran a full gauge set through it for that price to determine the actual headspace. (And ensure it was within spec) I must have rubbed the salesmen who was checking my firearm in the wrong way. Oh well, everyone else I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Will be back to try the various shooting ranges.

I had an issue with a new Ruger Mini 14 that I had recently purchased from another dealer in KY. After speaking with their armorer, he suggested that I bring it in and he would try to take of it right away. Problem Fixed! Gun fully oiled and ready to fire. The counter people were great. Thanks!

Myself and my spouse had a private lesson with Ben today. Ben is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and patient teaching. We walked out with a much better understanding of our new revolver than we did going in. Was able to answer all our questions, and gave advice on where to go next. Can't wait to visit again!

I went to Blackwing yesterday for the first time since over 10+ years ago, when I was a young kid being taken here by a family friend. Coming back, the place seems a bit bigger than it used to be (a great thing obviously, the wide range of options are fantastic) which makes me feel good knowing business has been good lol. I went in to purchase my first pistol from them; I already had a very VERY vague idea of what I liked and also that I wanted a more competition style pistol. Sean was the guy that came over to help me, and to be honest I'm extremely grateful he was because he was exactly the type of person I needed to help me. He took the time not just to show me what I asked to see, but also to show me different types of pistols that were similar and slightly different to what I wanted, just so I knew what options were out there. He showed me a few options I didn't know I had, plus he even took the time just to show me some cool stuff (as well as his opinions on ear pro which I really appreciated) because we had some common interests. He answered every question I had and more, and was the most polite,non-judgmental, and educational sales guy I could've hoped to get. He even helped me fix an issue with my grip/stance, as well as help me notice that I'm left eye dominant. He didn't have to do any of that, but he really took the time to help out a guy who hasn't been in a gun store in a while feel comfortable and he's made a repeat customer out of me.

Employees are knowledgeable & friendly. Both the indoor & outdoor ranges are great. They also have a large rental selection as well.

My partner and I took the concealed carry class with Ben as our expert instructor. He's an outstanding teacher who created a welcoming, safe, and fun environment (but serious when needed). We walked away feeling educated from the 6 hour classroom time and equipped with the handgun basics from 2 hours in range. It's a lot of information but was presented in a clear and concise way that was engaging and interesting. Ben knows his stuff and his love of his job and teaching shows. Highly recommend Black Wing and training with Ben!

Interactive range is fantastic! Very unique and exclusive experience IΓÇÖve never seen at any other shooting center. So many options to choose from, both static and dynamic games. Incredibly experienced and helpful staff readily available to answer any questions. Worth every penny!

Jared and the team at BWSC always provide first class service, and are incredibly knowledgeable and patient! Have relied on them to walk through NFA related sales and they have even been super accommodating to help solve issues with a firearm purchase that I made at another store. They've definitely won my business for life! Looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the sporting clays course again, but in the meantime the indoor ranges are great!

I canΓÇÖt say enough about Black Wing - they are just the best! They have incredible staff who are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are truly committed to helping shooters of all levels and creating lifelong lovers of the sport. WeΓÇÖve been members for three years and will be for life. We moved farther away and still make the hour drive to Black Wing - itΓÇÖs worth it! The ranges are exceptional and they change up Sporting Clays to keep things fresh and fun. They also have an indoor range and trap and skeet fields. ItΓÇÖs by far the best facility IΓÇÖve been to. They also offer fantastic gunsmithing services. Jacob did an amazing job on my shotgun and gave very helpful advice. My gun looks brand new! Highly recommend to all. In short - Black Wing is the best and I recommend them to everyone!

I canΓÇÖt say enough about this business and their staff. Absolutely one of the best indoor ranges, and retail stores in the Midwest. The in store selection of products is top notch, and the staff is equally as impressive. Everyone is knowledgeable, approachable, and a joy to deal with. I shoot at the range almost weekly. IΓÇÖve had their gunsmiths work on several of my firearms. IΓÇÖd trust them with anything. The best in the business, and itΓÇÖs not even particularly close.

Had a fantastic experience with Ben Owens' Intro to Handguns class. I had never fired a gun before and wanted to learn how. I felt very comfortable throughout the class and learned a lot!
