It would be great if the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center could sync up their holiday hours and time off with the Google maps page. How hard could it be for the big brains that design these apps? Edit: Today is Thursday, February 6, 2025 and I just uploaded the screenshot below. The range is CLOSED according to the recorded message when you dial the phone number that is given here. They operate on winter schedule of WEEKENDS ONLY from January 18-March 16. Regular hours start on March 20, 2025. Hope this saves someone from making a trip to the range for nothing…

Great place for a quick time at the range with a huge plus for being outdoors and allowing various calibers from small bore, large bore pistol and shotguns. But being a government operated range comes with a whole stringent set of rules, weird hours/days of operation and long wait times during hunting seasons particularly deer season. When they are open get there early to avoid large crowds.

Grandma had an awesome time. Went here with my son (14) and mother (72) for a couple hours of .22 The RSOs were all friendly and super helpful. They even helped ΓÇ£GramΓÇ¥ land a few hits at 50yds - her first time firing a gun! We will definitely be back.

Walt on the pistol range is great. Large bore? Not so much. Do they intentionally hire angry people on power trips? It's too bad, totally ruins the large bore range

Cheap prices compared to others, but the range is crawling with fudds. They have some extremely stupid and odd rules like only 5 round in your pistol magazine at a time and you can only single load shotgun shells into the breach. The range officers all seem to be fudds as well. Overall, the price is very cheap but just not worth it with this stupid rules.

3/24/2024 - REVIEW - Once again, back to square one. Trap field #3 has a brand-new machine and it's not operational. I saw the new machine myself and there is no explanation now as to why it's not working. Now they are rotating rounds of international and trap on the same field #2, which takes so much time and it's starting to become not worth it to shoot here anymore. It makes no sense to spend any more money here if the equipment continues to not be maintained. Rangers appear to be annoyed and overwhelmed and shooters are getting frustrated. @WestchesterCounty this needs to be fixed. 2/17/2024 UPDATE - Trap machine has been replaced with a brand new one and it works GREAT. Thank you, Vlad, Mike, Blue Mountain Sportsman's Center Team, and Westchester Co. Parks and Rec. This is a HUGE upgrade, and I am excited to get back to weekly practice. THANK YOU, 25 out of 25!!!

Eh. IΓÇÖm new to shotgun shooting. Been skeet shooting before at another range which was absolutely fantastic!! This place seems to be very clicky. If they donΓÇÖt know you, They arenΓÇÖt very friendly or nice to you. Kind of like what are you doing here? The hours they are open on weekdays are horrible. Was really looking forward to having a place to shoot close to home. Guess not. Although there was an older gentleman at the clay shooting range who was the nicest person I have talked to in a while! Really enjoyed talking to him.

Great range at reasonable prices, especially with the park pass. Only place I know of around here to play trap & skeet. Much quieter on the weekdays. Took a few privately offered lessons here as well.

I went here for the first time yesterday. It was highly recommended by multiple friends. They have an archery range, pistol range, small bore rifle range, large bore rifle range, two skeet and two trap ranges as well. The price is unbeatable! I only shot at the Small Bore range. The range is in great shape. Geoff and George at the Short Bore range were fantastic. They provided clear instructions about the rules of using the range. They also provided shooting tips to make the experience more successful and enjoyable. I also talked to them afterwards about buying a shotgun for trap and skeet and they were VERY knowledgeable and very patient and kind. They truly care about us having a great experience and they are passionate about the sport. The lady at the check in desk was also very friendly and was able to provide me with all the information I wanted about the place. I loved it so much, I want to try to get up there every week, at least until the frost comes.
