Questions & Answers

Q: WHAT ARE THE DISTANCES FOR THE RIFLE RANGE

A: Not sure I just shoot pistols

- Jeff Wisecarver (4 years ago)

Q: How much dose it cost to shoot there

A: 10$ an hour or 125$ for the year. If you get the membership you can shoot 7 days a week. Otherwise it limits you to the days they are open.

- Brian (5 years ago)

A: Pretty much as long as you got two to three times a year the membership ship pays for itself. If you are military I believe it's $115.

- James Boreman (5 years ago)

Q: How long is the membership for, what day of the year does it start and the last day it ends?

A: A membership goes for one full year from the time you pay

- Russ Smith (5 years ago)

A: Not sure about membership. I only go out for my certification. I believe it is a year round range. I went out for my original cert in the middle of winter.

- Kristi Salvito (5 years ago)

Q: WHATS THE ELEVATION OF THE RIFLE RANGE?

A: Look at a topography quad map from USGS.

- Kevin Timmer (a year ago)

A: 700-900 would be my guess

- J. D. Craft (5 years ago)

A: Honestly, not sure. That's a question better answered by the range itself.

- Kristi Salvito (5 years ago)

Q: How do you find up coming events?

A: They are posted in club house and on web

- gmh4268 (6 years ago)

A: I find them on the Facebook page and website.

- Jessica Shay (6 years ago)

Q: Do u have gun for rent at the range?

A: They do not have gun rental, no

- Riley Thien (6 years ago)

Q: What is the cost to shoot a round.

A: I think its $10 a hour

- tracy Jamil (7 years ago)

A: I think $20 per person. I am a member, so i just pay once a year

Great place to shoot. Lots of space, steel plates setup for pistol training, and friendly staff. AND you get to be outdoors. Can't beat it.

So this is honestly the worst experience IΓÇÖve ever had shooting before. IΓÇÖve been shooting for 15 years and been to multiple shooting ranges. Never have I been treated the way I was today for apparently no reason. The ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ that everyone has been mentioning is indeed the culprit in my experience today. I first walked in and said aww over the dogs that they have in the main building and from that point on the ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ had an attitude with me. She proceeded to belittle me during the entire conversation, along with my mother who witnessed the entire thing. She called me ΓÇ£honeyΓÇ¥ in a rude manner, and cut me off every single time I spoke. When another male customer walked in the door she switched her personality entirely and began to smile, joke, and talk with him. A few seconds later he walked out and she resumed her previous aggressive behavior towards me and my mother. When my father walked in from the bathroom, he was confused as to why we were upset and as soon as we walked out we explained everything. He said that she is always rude to him, and my father visits this range quite often. At this point everyoneΓÇÖs day has been ruined by this ΓÇ£ladyΓÇÖsΓÇ¥ awful behavior, so my mom goes inside and retrieves our IDΓÇÖs and we leave as soon as we possibly could. While inside my mother spoke with the ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ and she asked if something was wrong. My mother told her she was quite abrasive with us and we didnΓÇÖt appreciate being treated that way. She ΓÇ£apologizedΓÇ¥ and said it was because we walked inside while she was on the phone. She was hanging up the phone before we even came inside, and either way this is a business first and foremost. If you treat every single customer like this (and it appears you do, considering the multiple other reviews about you), eventually youΓÇÖll run off every single one of us. We pay money to you for a service, not to be treated worse than you would your dogs. Sincerely, a Previous Customer.

So I wouldnΓÇÖt have wrote a bad review if this wasnΓÇÖt the second time going here and the staff being absolutely rude. The first time the guy acted like it was the end of the world for shooting too many clays on the 50 clay course. But the second time the ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ mentioned in other reviews was working. My wife and I shot the 100 clay course so we used about ~235 clays accounting for show pairs and the throwers malfunctioning (at least 3 throwers were empty). When we got back to the club house she said that we used 400 clays! (My guess is that nobody cleared out the card) Then she acted like she was being generous for only charging us for 300 clays at $132! She would also cut me off every time I tried to explain what happened or tell her which clay throwers needed reloaded. Honestly I really considered getting a membership before today because their membership is a great value. However with the staff being the way that they are and the grounds being as poor as they are I couldnΓÇÖt put up with it. ItΓÇÖs worth it driving an hour further to go to Cardinal Shooting Center in Delaware for the friendly staff, clean course, and itΓÇÖs HALF THE PRICE!

rude service was an extreme putoff for new shooters I've taken there. there are almost no targets on the rifle range anymore and the pistol targets have seen better days.

First things first. The lady, and IΓÇÖm using the phrase ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ very loosely, is the worst thing about Briar Rabbit. She is what compelled me to write a review. IΓÇÖll try and be as honest as possible. She is Jesus take the wheel bad. IΓÇÖve been going to this place for well over a decade, maybe more than 15 years. The pistol range steel has been there longer than IΓÇÖve been going, and just as broken as day one. I started bringing my own spray paint because itΓÇÖs always been shot off. The dividers between each lane has the same dingy green paint thatΓÇÖs always been there. They do have like 8 lanes of broken targets to choose from though, so I guess thatΓÇÖs nice. They also do have some small shelters at the end of some of the bays. They are all filled with hornets and if you try and use one of the tables it may fall over. And by ΓÇ£tablesΓÇ¥ I mean wire spools turned on end. At least they have nice benches to cool off on one of those hot summer days. Kidding thereΓÇÖs no where to sit at the pistol range, so add a chair to your list. The rifle range you can put targets out to 535yds, which is hard to find around here. They also have mounds at every 50yds. This makes for easy ranging and setting targets. Speaking of targets though, you better have brought your own. They have one steel target at 100yds, and donΓÇÖt sell any at the clubhouse. Also, you better make stands while youΓÇÖre at it. They donΓÇÖt have anything to hang your targets from if you do bring paper targets. You may also notice that sometimes it sounds like itΓÇÖs raining at the rifle shelter. ThatΓÇÖs actually shot raining down on you from the number one skeet station. Oh yeah, thatΓÇÖs also where you park your car, so you and your car can partake in the shot shower. Now letΓÇÖs talk skeet. You know my issue with station one, you are shooting at others. That could be easily fixed, but no one cares. Good luck reading the machines through the scratched up plexiglass covers, but if you do, you may also need a buddy to hold a wire to the car battery for you that fell off. Now this whole time IΓÇÖve been saying skeet, and itΓÇÖs more of 5 stand, so letΓÇÖs talk about that. They do have an actual trap range, but thatΓÇÖs for competition only. Speaking of competition only, did you know thereΓÇÖs a whole other pistol range on the other side of the pistol range. Probably not because that is for competition only too. And remember earlier how the rifle range only has the one target that the range provides? Welllll, you guessed it, they do have some there, for competition only. Then remember the pistol range, yeah they have a few lanes off to the side that are for competition only that at least look functional from a distance. Now letΓÇÖs talk about what I started with, the ΓÇ£ladyΓÇ¥ that works there. SheΓÇÖs basically the final boss of KarenΓÇÖs. SheΓÇÖs as pleasant as slamming your gentlemenΓÇÖs sausage in a car door. IΓÇÖm embarrassed to bring new people there, especially new shooters, because of her. Most of the time IΓÇÖll mention her on the drive there to prepare them for what they are about to witness. Sometimes I donΓÇÖt mention her just to see what others will say, if anything. Every single time I donΓÇÖt even have to ask and IΓÇÖll get something like ΓÇ£is she always like that?ΓÇ¥. DonΓÇÖt bother asking questions either, because she will not know, but she will yell at you for not knowing. IΓÇÖm talking basic questions about the facility, rules, or events. Maybe thereΓÇÖs a chance she helps the elderly or the sick in her off time and sheΓÇÖs actually really a nice person. I think thereΓÇÖs a better chance she goes home and sleeps in the T pose facing a wall though. So, in conclusion the angry desk woman earned the one star. All the rest can be forgiven.

Good god, please replace the steel targets on the pistol range. Most of it is broken, and I know for a fact hasn't been replaced in 10+ years. Would be 5 stars if they would maintain the place.

Took my 6.5 creed rifle there to sight it in for the first time and maybe it was just me but as we were getting stuff from the car to bring it under the shooting area pellets were falling left and right from people shooting clays through the woods. Not only hitting me but it was also hitting a 95k car… guy told me they can’t do anything about it. Kinda messed up in my opinion

It's an amazing Shooting Range! Very Clean and Well Maintained! They have hired staff that consistently travel to shooting sites to ensure no leftover shooting material has been left behind from prior shooters (you don't have to clean up you shells/casings). I went there to zero my muzzleloader in and it's a perfect rifle range for zeroing a rifle in. It starts with either a 10,15, or 20 yd, then procees to 50 yards, 100 yards, 150 yards, 200 yards, 250 yards, 300 yards, all the way to 500 yards - (+/- 15 yards) depending on where you sit because of the angle you shoot towards the targets. The membership is $150 a year to have access every day of the week - worth it. This is truly a Premiere Shooting Range of Ohio's Available Shooting Ranges. I didn't take pictures of the pistol ranges but I will tell you the lanes aren't dirt. They are concrete poured footers with caution blocking built on top for sight shooting. Then there is an open pistol range too with steel plates at about 30 to 50 yards - I eyesighted it. I didn't use a range finder. I also seen they host community events hosted by large (I believe nationally) recognized organizations/associations for events! Truly worth stopping by to experience! They accept Cash and Card for Payment.

This range is really nice! There are essentially 3 pistol bay areas for a total of about 15 bays or so. The size and shape of the bays allows for a variety of stages to be built. BTW, I have only shot pistol competitions at this facility, so can't comment on the other ranges.
