Q: Can you bring someone without a foid to shoot as a guest ?
A: Yeah, and you are going to have a great time. Just bring your Foid card.
- j. vernnond (6 years ago)
A: Yea as long you have a food card
- Mike Leckner (6 years ago)
A: Unless the policy has changed, each FOID holder may bring 1 nonfoid guest
- Al Lutz (6 years ago)
A: Sounds good thank you everyone. :)
- Jesenia Velazquez (6 years ago)
A: Yes you can
- Marcus Holland (6 years ago)
Q: What is the ranges thoughts on bringing my 8year and 16year old son's to the range to build on their experience and confidence with firearms.
A: My Lodge has a range day every year, we have shooters as young as 6 WITH COMPETENT ADULT SUPERVISION. It's good to start them young, as long as you start them safely.
- Al Lutz (6 years ago)
A: Brought my 9yrd old daughter, she had a blast!!
- Mark Socki (6 years ago)
A: You will all have a great time Best first time range
- noah adams (6 years ago)
A: The range is very family-friendly, make sure to go over the basic firearm safety and range rules before hand.
- Leo Verzani (6 years ago)
A: I can't remember if there is a age requirements, I did take my son when he was 11 or 12.

Q: I am very interested in visiting this facility, but read a review about it being racist as well as some of the employees. Has anyone experienced this behavior?
A: IΓÇÖm Hispanic and IΓÇÖve gone plenty of times with my family have never experienced anything less than great staff
- Emmanuel Silva (6 years ago)
A: People are truly dumb, they see that a business supports Trump and automatically its a racist business? I've been here many times, the staff are always very polite and helpful to everyone regardless of ethnicity.
- Colton Waller (3 years ago)
A: NOT AT ALL! I'm Mexican and I've been there many times! They have a great staff and I have always had a good time!
- Sergio Gutierrez (6 years ago)
A: Very diverse crowd. IΓÇÖve never seen anyone mistreated. ItΓÇÖs a very welcoming, friendly range.
- Steve G. (5 years ago)
A: Iam Asian, been there twice had a fun time both times, very friendly place! No one cares who you are as long as you follow the safety rules. Safety is thier highest priority as it should be.

Q: How is the plinking pit? Do people shoot your targets in the pit?
A: Yes, unfortunately they do. My own past experience, is that a few people bring targets, but most donΓÇÖt. The ones that donΓÇÖt, are the first ones to shoot at targets, that someone else put out there. By the time I would set my targets and walk back to the shooting line, they would call ΓÇ£Hot LineΓÇ¥ and my targets would be blown to smithereens, before I could even load my own rifle. After a few experiences like this, I quit bringing my own targets. I donΓÇÖt mind if people shoot at my targets. Just give me the first crack, at a couple of them. It is stil a lot of fun, though. If youΓÇÖre looking for target ideas, you can use detergent bottles, chunks of 3-4ΓÇ¥ PVC pipe (painted fluorescent colors), mannequins, pumpkins, clay birds, ceramic tile, empty spray paint cans, etc. Just donΓÇÖt bring any glass. Be careful when you go out to change targets. There is a lot of shredded, rusty metal, and other sharp objects. Wear some good boots and leather gloves.
- William J. (6 years ago)
A: Yes no respect for any target
- Eric Larkey (6 years ago)
A: Yep. ItΓÇÖs a shame too. I disagree that all the targets are fair game. If you didnΓÇÖt bring them, donΓÇÖt shoot them. I spent $25 on bowling pins and gel packs and they were gone within seconds. Its bogus. DonΓÇÖt buy them cause there is no respect at the pit.
- Steve G. (5 years ago)
A: I haven't shot at the pit since it has been redone, do they call a cease fire and allow you to go down and change or place targets?
- Al Lutz (6 years ago)
A: Mind you, this was many many years ago, someone brought a full life-size Barney dinosaur and put it a front of a small cannon. They did give everyone permission that after they did their 1st blast we were allowed to "light it up". There must have been about 10 of us that did our reenactment of the "GodFather" movie's Toll Booth scene on that silly purple mess

Q: Can I still shoot my AR at the range?
A: I take my AR and AK, no problem.
- Louis L (2 years ago)
A: Yes Please call Buffalo Range Wery Nice and Friendly Crew There
- Krzysztof Grzelak (2 years ago)
Q: Just purchased my first gun. Happens to be a 12ga semi auto shotgun that I got for home defence can I practice with it here?
A: Yes. You can shoot in the plinking pit but they also have trap shooting ranges. It's easiest to trap shoot with two people because one can load and launch the clay pigeons while there other shots. You can do it by yourself though
- Phil Jones-LeDuc (2 years ago)
Q: Do you have to be a member to target shoot here?
A: No it a great place alittle drive from chicgo but worth it if you been in the military you get a discount also you can pre register on there web site
- RICK PISCIOTTO (5 years ago)
A: No. My understanding is they are extremely welcoming off the public. My friends go there with thier kids all the time and love it.
- Brock Friedman (5 years ago)
A: That's a negative ghost rider
- Mark McCready (5 years ago)
A: No

A: Yes you still can
- Matt Speerly (6 years ago)
Q: Is there anything longer than the 100yrd range looking to go 200 or 300yrd
A: Isra and Aurora sportsman club goes to 600, but members only
- Leo Yu (6 years ago)
A: No, but the I.S.R.A. (Illinois State Rifle Association) range, in Kankakee, IL., has a 300 yard range. You do have to be a member, though, but the dues are very affordable.
- William J. (6 years ago)
A: No, they have a 50 yrd and 100yrd range, there is a range in WI, micmillar i think, has a 200yrd range
- Mark Socki (6 years ago)
Q: Can an out of state resident shoot there?
A: Yes with a valid ID

Had to edit because I've been here ALOT MORE since my last post. I absolutely LOVE this range. From plinking to a long range for long shot training, all the way around a GREAT experience. The RSO's there are amazing and very helpful and ready to give you any pointers they can to help make your experience there the best it can be! Special shout out to John B for helping me teach my wife how to become a better shot. She had a BLAST. We love Range USA but if it's nice outside we're going to Buffal Range & Gun Company out in Ottawa!

I stopped in on a whim because I heard gunfire during a hiking adventure at a nearby State Park. The staff member I spoke with was very helpful in helping me plan a potential trip. I wish they would keep their politics away from the range but if you don't like Trump, I don't think you'd feel welcomed/safe here.

It's an ok range. The pit is a nice feature that most ranges don't have. If you are a reloader and have any semi automatics you won't like it. Your brass can literally be on the ground at your feet and your not allowed to pick it up. Have never seen this at any range I've ever been to.

Gunsmiths don't clean their firearms for the rentals. Our firearm kept jamming and it wasn't the ideal experience for teaching our first time shooter enjoy the world of firearms. Can't recommend this place for the negligence

Been going here for the last few years. Have always enjoyed the experience. I took my oldest child for his first shooting of a live round. During a bathroom break inside the gun shop, the owner, or I assumed he was the owner, asked me how the day was going. I told him it was my sonΓÇÖs first day shooting. When my son came out of his bathroom break, the owner called him to the counter and offered for my son to pick a free T-shirt. My son was picking between 2 of the shirts. They told my son he can have both of them! That gesture is what will bring me back to this range forever. ItΓÇÖs the kind of treatment that is missing in this mad world that we all have been experiencing. Thank you for being that good business owner and a good person in general. God bless our great country. God bless all good people, like here at the range!!

I visited this place for the first time yesterday, and it was fantastic! The facility is well-run, clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I'm definitely planning to come back. Honestly, I'm glad Silver Springs Trap Range was closed, as it led us to discover this gem. Next time, we'll be bringing our rifles and pistols along too!

Definitely not recommending this range. They kicked us out for rapid firing but we saw someone rapid firing right in front of us. I felt like the owner and officers were racist. The bathrooms were not clean. But the staff on target range named jack was a good guy. Overall bad experience.
