A: If you're a NJ resident, then you just need an NJ FID card to purchase a rifle or shotgun. If you don't have an FID card, then you can apply for one via your local police department. If you're not a NJ resident then the firearm will need to be shipped to a FFL dealer in your state of residence, and you will complete the purchase there according to your state's laws.

A: This is a nice range. I do not know if the is an age limit. However, I've seen adult shooters bring children of about age 8 or 9 in on several occasion. To be safe I'd call and check.

Yes, this is the same person and since I can’t reply to your response, I will be replying here. We never caused any trouble willingly at the range and were asked one time to stop shooting head shots and watch out for the hangers and when we were told that we stopped And you’re so called Very aware Vietnam vet ended up kicking us out after we stopped and did exactly what he said he was using his binoculars to count if there were any extra head shots, and he miscounted, as I doubt his vision is clear , and me and my friend stopped shooting heads shots when he told us. And no disrespect to him But he is also very rude, even when we are nice to him. And based on his analysis, he told us we can’t stay anymore and we left. We came back a different day to shoot a pistol and your people refused us Service only based on the last interaction. So we were not kicked out multiple times like you stated. And the guy at the front said we are not allowed to use the range anymore. We asked him if we could still buy stuff And he said yes, you may so. My friend asked to look at a gun and then we left, two minutes later We went back because we remembered we needed ammo, And he said we don’t want your business get out the store. Moral of the story were, we were respectful and not known for causing problems and based off the one interaction, we were treated with disrespect and dishonesty. This is not to argue with you, but to make you aware of your staff. And this is not the only review that states the things I stated as there are many 1 star reviews with similar issues….. Just treat your customers with respect Respect and don’t kick people out trying to have some fun because of a mistake. If I really wanted to, I can have that place shut down in an instance with all the code violations etc. thank you

Small range with a lot of restrictions. The ~85 year old RSO in the back makes the range more dangerous is anything, all he does is stay on his phone the whole day and watches no body. Him and the other workers there have a very nasty attitude.

The people at bullethole have no customer service training at all. The old RO with white and gray hair in the back has no idea what he is doing and is always on his phone not paying attention. The people working in the front are the rudest people IΓÇÖve spoken too and you can never check out any gun, optic, or equipment for more than 5 second without them sticking their hand out and grabbing the item out your hand (this is the reason why I never bought anything other then range time).

Worst staff, and most of them are overweight, which is quite concerning since they are lazy and barely ever want to help customers. If you donΓÇÖt want business, then shut the place down. IΓÇÖd ask to look at a gun, and after they hand it to me, 5 seconds later, he reaches his hand and wants me to give it back, like I just helped the gun didnΓÇÖt even have time to see it or anything. And the range is extremely unsafe and dirty. They have an 84-year-old deaf and blind man working in the range, which is unsafe as hell, and most of the time, I feel bad for the old guy. Save your money and time and go somewhere more professional.

They are disrespectful and unprofessional. Kicked us out because of an accident that happened and refused us service. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere more clean, because that place is disgusting and unsanitary.

Went there cause it was a short trip. Did a few purchases as well, then after going to other shops and ranges. I noticed how crazy that they charge about $200 more on retail prices than other shops! So for a pistol worth $600 retail. Here it will cost you $836 out the door with taxes...with a retail of maybe $775 for the same $600 pistol. Also ANYONE is allowed to enter at range, no experience no problem. Act a fool at range annoy other from getting their shooting on, sure why not. You paid so do as you wish. I rather take a longer trip to a more professional range where RSO keep shooters in their ports and from acting up annoying others. Definitely will be staying away.

Took some friends here to shoot my guns and the range does the job with no bells and whistles. $20 for a port, no additional charge for extra shooters like other ranges. Checking in is simple, pay and take a receipt to the RSO, no extra paperwork or ID needed. The place is small, only 10 ports. When I visited the RSO is an older gentlnen, who like other reviewers have mentioned, could have an attitude, he makes a remark if you hand him your receipt upside down. One thing to note is no shots above the shoulder level. For the price of range time it can't be beat, and if you just want a place to shoot it's the bare minimum, and definitely not for tourists.

Left a badly rusted firearm with them for cleaning. They did a superb job. But they charged me more than double the original quote without prior warning or authorization or explanation, so buyer beware.

I was renewing my CCW permit and needed a cheap place to retake my course. They were the cheapest and Jennifer the instructor was amazing. I liked this class even more than RTSP and it was half the price. As long as they maintain their prices, I will keep coming back to them.

Im going yo assume all the people who are complaining are looking for candy to be handed out to them. I like this place. I like the staff and I like it when I'm told what's best for me or not. Not everything needs to be sugar-coated!

This review is a follow-up to my post-pandemic review at which time I had not been back to the bullet hole. I have been back there and everything is the same still a great place to go for inexpensive range time. I like to look at other reviews sometimes and I start with the lowest to see what people are complaining about. I was very impressed how the owner always takes the time to follow up and answer critical complaints. I have not been to the Bullet Hole since before the pandemic but can't wait to resume using their range. Their rates are very reasonable and they don't have restricted rules charging for an additional person with you. Always found this to be the go-to place to bring your guns for range practice. I called today to get their current prices for hourly use of the range and the lady was very polite. I give this place a thumbs up for sure.

I was skeptical because of the reviews. However I went in neutral while keeping all things in mind. First, Jen is great. Some of the older guys are for sure some old grumps. Definitely dry and a bit off putting. First interaction was eh, but the second interaction wasn't that bad. It's a small, old school, family owned shop - no bells and whistles here.. go in, do your thing and leave. If you're looking to take classes or qualify, I'd recommend here. If you're looking to just get in and do your thing, I'd recommend here.

The people that gave 2 or 3 stars I agree with their reviews. It has been a long time since I was there but I realized the same thing. The people behind the counter were acting as if we were bothering them. Attitude has not changed and will not be back. I thought after so many new ranges opening up in the area they would be welcoming but nope still same 1989 attitude.

I bought my first 2 handguns (Glock 19 and 23 Gen 4) back in 2013 when used to live near Bellville. They have decent gun collection. Though the price was little higher than some other places, my overall experience was good. I knew what I was looking and they had them at that moment. It's a very small place with lots crowd. So it's better if you do your research before arrive.

Been coming here a while now. I love this range. ItΓÇÖs a very quiet (comparatively) range that you can bring your friends to and expect to be treated with respect. Unlike the other militarized ranges of NJ, this range feels like theyΓÇÖre a family shop.
