Burnsville Pistol & Rifle Range

Q: How much does I cost?
A: Depends on rifle or pistol and how many people. Pricing is on the web site. Very reasonable pricing. Great place to go
- Louis Adney (5 years ago)
Q: Do you have a 50 yard range?
A: Their rifle range goes out to 46 yds I believe
- Tactical Yeti Defense and Training (4 years ago)
Q: If I join what I needed my any information , iD or social and fee ?
A: No need to join anything, anyone can shoot, you just need money and a smile! (And a gun)
- Justin P (5 years ago)
A: The fees are reasonable. I take 3 of my hand guns all 9mm and pay only 31 dollars for the booth, and stay for at least 2 hours.
- John Austion (5 years ago)
Q: Can I come sight in my rifle? Is it open to public?
A: A couple of criteria. Rounds HAVE to be a FMJ or soft point without a penetrator(Desk WILL check your ammo I could not use my 22/250 due to most rounds producing over 3000fps which is not compatible with the backstop I have shot .35 Remington, 30-30, 22lr, .223/5.56 at the range
- Steven Nimtz (5 years ago)
A: it is open to the public. what caliber?
- Roger Hird (5 years ago)
Q: Is there an age requirement for come to shoot? And also can you bring your own gun in to fire? I assume you can but just thought I would ask?
A: I'm not sure about the age, but I know you can bring your own gun. They just check your amo to make sure it's not magnetic.
- Alexandra Tabakov (6 years ago)
A: Do you need some sort of ID? Also is a permit okay?
- Lord Oozy (5 years ago)
A: fyi, per their website: Must be 18 years of age to shoot in our facilities without a parent or guardian, must be 21 to buy ammunition. Minimum age requirement with a parent or guardian is nine years. Age 9 - 10 (.22 rifle) Age 11 - 12 (.22 pistol) Age 13 - 18 (center-fire allowed based on the stature of the child, and solely at the discretion of the range personnel) Under 18 years old without a parent or guardian must have a written permission slip from the parent giving the child permission to shoot with the adult - this applies to handguns and is Federal Law.
- Jason Jensen (5 years ago)
A: Alexandra is correct on bringing your own gun. I don't know the minimum age, but I've taken a 12-year-old.
- Jared Morton (6 years ago)
Q: Is it ok for 12 year olds to go?
A: 12 year olds are allowed to shoot .22lr rifle or pistol (if shooting with a pistol they must be with a parent or guardian or have a written note from them giving them permission to shoot - this is a federal law)
- Roger Hird (6 years ago)
A: That is an absolutely acceptable age to teach your child gun safety and respect. 12 is legal in Minnesota with a parent, but as it is private property, it is up to yhe discretion of the owner.
- Ryan Stelly (6 years ago)
A: I took my son to that range when he was 12. They refused for him to shoot a 40cal, he had to shoot a 9.
- Rami Saadeh (6 years ago)
A: Would be completely up to the range staff and your 12 year olds maturity level/demeanor, along with their ability to safely handle a firearm and follow the range rules. I know I was shooting at the local outdoor ranges back home when I was 12, so not out of the question by any means. Would just need to contact the staff there. It isn't a very big and exciting range, though. Just the essentials of what you need and plenty of range slots.

Great place to shoot

Great shooting range. Not as busy as the others nearby, and that's what made it perfect. No wait time for a lane and offered both pistol and rifle lanes. No guns for sale but did offer some ammunition at a decent price if needed as well as targets. One target offered was that of a dart board, which I found to be fun and exciting. I enjoyed it so much and plan on going back this week and bringing more people.

Been going here since I was young for range time, and FFL transfers. Staff is always attentive, polite; no frills. Chosen to support them over any competitors in the area cuz they make you feel at home. Good people.

Decent prices and a large facility, would benefit from an interview refresh or remodel

Dont trust their posted hours. Hidden deep in their menu is a calendar that is apparently was too hard to disclose on the hours page. Likely closed tomorrow, too, yet nothing is on their calendar for then. So I'm not sure why I caught attitude about it if the range is closed anyway. Dirty and unkempt. Poorly lit. Rude staff. Find somewhere else.

Well set up range, my only "complaint" would be it needs more lanes. It has good hours, and I like the pricing.

Nice indoor range. I've been shooting at outdoor ranges for many years and had a preconceived notion that actively kept me away from indoor ranges. Ended up here for a CCW class. Much better experience that I expected. I would go back.

Great place to practice and have some fun. You never have to worry about obnoxious tacticool shooters. You can shoot out to 46 yards in the rifle range. You can shoot as long as you want, and Roger and the rest of the staff are just nice, normal people. My wife and I shoot here often. It's always a fun date for the two of us.

Nice Range which is no frills but very adequate. Staff is friendly and very helpful and I have never had any problems there . From some of the reviews it makes you wonder if they are just Trolls that need to run their mouth to feel like they actually matter. Things like complaining that they werenΓÇÖt allowed to shoot armor piercing rounds. Entitlement in America has gone too far. Every Range encounters people that shouldnΓÇÖt be allowed to own a gun. People with no common sense and ignorant of gun safety. So instead of complaining next time point something out to staff if you feel it is of concern. They are very safety conscious. And remember you need to be respectful to garner respect in return. This is a nice place to shoot and I will continue to go there. Yes, bring your own bullets. They do have a variety of targets you can buy if you don't have your own and one target is supplied with the Range fee.

Cranky owners, subpart quality. Staff gets upset if you fire more than a round every couple seconds and they get even more upset if you try to collect your brass. Was kicked out of the place upon entry because I was barely 30 seconds past the cutoff for accepting business, yet they allowed half of my group to shoot because they entered 30 seconds prior (we had parked out front around the exact same time). Staff are so temperamental that even using the bathroom more than once will elicit a snarky comment from them. The silver lining to this poor excuse of a gun range is that it's less than a block away from The Modern Sportsman, which has friendlier staff, better kept ranges and a integral gun store. Do not waste your money or your time with these fudds, just go to The Modern Sportsman if you really want to shoot.
