I was so excited to try the sporting clays and drove an hour to see it for myself. I arrived and was highly disappointed. The grounds were completely unkept with junk laying around everywhere in tall weeds. However, I told myself ΓÇ£if the targets are good, who cares how it looksΓÇ¥. I talked to a guy in the clubhouse who was helpful and explained how to set the delay on the stations and also told me station one was empty but would be filled soon. However, after getting out on the course, I found that every single station had at least one empty machine other than one. After getting to station six to find yet another empty machine, I gave up, paid for what targets I shot (even the ones on the card that never actually threw a target) and left. I can get past unkept grounds and hull barrels spilling over that clearly havenΓÇÖt been emptied in weeks, but I at least expect to be able to shoot one complete station in five. ItΓÇÖs a shame because someone clearly put lots of effort into building a potentially top notch facility, but what I observed today is far from that.

I travel to C4 / Madison 3-4 weekends a year to train at C4. Their facility is beautiful and a really important resource for law enforcement as well as citizens who want to be more accountable and proficient with their firearms. I drive several hours to get to C4 because of the quality of the facility and the amazing instructors / groups they host throughout the year. The best part is I can book my hotels down the road, pick up food from a local restaurant and turn my weekends at C4 into mini vacations. Madison is very lucky to have a facility like C4.

We went to shoot trap a few times last fall. What a blast. Seemed like we were the only ones there. CanΓÇÖt wait to bring a rifle for the new rifle range.

Tried to take a new shooter up for their ΓÇ£heated five standΓÇ¥ when we arrived we were told there was no one there to pull for us at the moment and we had to wait for the guy to get back from doing something else. After sitting around for 20 minutes he finally showed up. We walked over to the five stand to find the heater laying on a table outside and were told ΓÇ£oh yeah we sold the heater to some guy then he said he didnΓÇÖt want it. Propane is too expensive so we arenΓÇÖt using it anymoreΓÇ¥. We drove 45 minutes so we decided to freeze while we shot. Go to check out and itΓÇÖs $11 bucks a round for 5 stand. If the heat was on IΓÇÖd have no problem with that but seriously!? The old man at the counter never once mentioned to us during the 20 minute wait that they donΓÇÖt actually have heated bays right now. Overall not impressed with the place at all and wonΓÇÖt be going back.

We had a company outing here today. The owner Mike could not have been nicer. He made some lunch for us, went over the course and stressed safety. He even stopped by and showed us some pointers along the way. I wished I lived closer!

Extremely Extremely rude staff! While enjoying a great afternoon out with the guys and spending close $400 at C4 our day came to a rude end!! I completely understand the rules and policies at every business but why would you disrespect the high paying customers. The range officer threatened to kick our group out and yelled at our group all because we shot one of the barrels that was in our bay and had thousands of bullet whole in it already. Our group was completely shocked and speechless when he was yell in our direction. If it was that big of a deal to disrespect customers like that then you should definitely make the rules more straightforward and visible. I will never bring race into any situation unless warranted but it truly seemed like that was the case on the amount of disrespect the range manager showed. I would not recommend this range if you want to enjoy a relaxing day out with friends and family! RESPONDING TO THE OWNER: I completely understand the rules and regulations. As soon as the range officer said something we stopped. The problem was how rude a disrespectful he was. You don't talk to anyone like that especially a customer. Who runs a business like that?

I trained here and try to get back as often as possible. The staff is helpful and friendly and the area is spacious!

Heard a lot of good things from a lot of good people, - all true! First time out yesterday, - Very nice facility, and very friendly staff. Well maintained, and it is obvious that they are working hard to make it even better each day. Had a great time, and canΓÇÖt wait to go back!

Serious training facility for serious training, the overhead maps don't do it justice, they are constantly building and adding on to the existing ranges, pistol bays, long range rifle and the pit. Well worth the hour plus drive for me.

If you are looking to shoot sporting clays at a fair price you found it at C4. The targets are sometimes challenging but are all shootable. Great place to practice for competitive shooters.
