Recently took the CCW course with Gary Antal and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Gary is practical and straightforward, yet very welcoming. His experience and knowledge is vast, and he definitely knows how to present the necessary materials whilst keeping the class engaging. 10/10 recommend. As for the facility itself, I find Calibers clean, well-lit, organized, and comfortable. Staff is both pleasant and knowledgeable, as well as low-key. There was a noticeable lack of ego amongst staff, which I found refreshing. I like the overall vibe at the Cutler location and am exceptionally comfortable practicing and taking classes there. My only criticism is that the Calibers website could contain a bit more information about the classes, such as what to bring on day one and two, what rental/loaner firearms and ammo are available for students, etc. I also find the website a little clunky on a whole.

I also had a good experience here until I purchased a membership!! Do NOT buy their memberships!! They are impossible to get out of and require proof by Doctor letter on their letterhead if you are sick or proof with Bank statements etc if you move, and you have to move more than100 miles away from any location!! I thought it was a 12 month membership, which I said the entire 12 months of hutwasnt able to use, then when I tried to cancel, they said I had a 24 month membership and would have to pay the additional 12 months of premiums in order to cancel it!! I am like a lot of people right now and am financially strapped!! But I have to continue paying this!! This is a very sad way to treat customers!! Please Do NOT join this membership!!!

Took the CC class here. Instructor was awesome. Gary Antal. I learned more than I ever thought I would. I was nervous about the qualification but really there was never anything to be worried about. They made the process very easy. My only critique: Once I signed up and paid, I was a little bit in the dark and confused. There was no information about what to show up with and what to expect. Do I bring my firearm on day one? I reverted to my grade school days, always show up with a pencil and paper. Glad I did, most of the class didn't. Do I sign in? Where's the class specifically? Do I need to do any paperwork before? Bring documents? Fortunately I took a few minutes and went in before the class and asked all those questions. Learned a ton, shot well and left with a training cert. Will probably take another class soon. If anyone is considering taking this class, I would recommend that you go in maybe one or two times before your class and shoot. Familiarize yourself with the range, the protocols, rules, etc. I did that and it made everything much easier.

After having shopped here a few times I would have thought booking one of the experience packages they offer online would have been fun. Turns out they donΓÇÖt even have half of what they claim when it comes to these packages; they had two out of the four automatic weapons promised in the package and no options for 50cal (again, part of the $130 package I purchased) I was informed of this at the counter and was told there is nothing they can do. When asking for a refund they wrote down my name and said it would be almost 2 weeks for a refund. The guy behind the counter did not seem to care that they had falsely advertised a product and instead seemed more interested in helping other customers. I had planned on making a larger purchase here in the future with my tax return but I guess they donΓÇÖt want money. If you want half hearted service then come here, if you want genuine service then look the other way

Today I was denied my CCW benefit of not having to wait 7 days after the purchase of a firearm due to a lack of training and continuity from calibers. I was going to purchase a firearm today from the cutler location but did not, due to the staff not honoring my CCW license. Their reasoning was because the address does not match the current address on my license; Yet IΓÇÖve transferred and purchased lots of firearms from cutler calibers & coors calibers using the same exact credentials I provided today. Today the manager decided to change their minds for some odd reason. IΓÇÖve been a platinum member with calibers for 3 years now and will be canceling my membership.

D Ray. I took the concealed carry course at Calibers (Instructor: Gary Antal). It was a great classroom, instruction, and range environment. Gary is experienced and conscientious...a very good instructor. I recommend Calibers for concealed carry training.

Customer service was awful. They are super mean and insulting. Price is way too high for this garbage range. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Took the AR-15 Fundamentals class at Calibers today and loved it. Great instructor and great content. Learned how to disassemble and clean my weapon and then got range time to dial in my sights. Would totally recommend this class.

I have always had a great experience at Caliber's, until this Chrsitmas. I went online like I do every year and bought a BOGO shooters cards. When I went in to pick them up the first comment out of the young man was that there was now an experation date on the cards. Not only an experation date, but a 4 month experation date. I explained to the young man that there was no mention of the experation date on the website when I was purchasing the cards. I politely asked for a refund and was told that Caliber's CEO had said there was no refunds. I wonder why the first comment from Caliber's is that there is an experation date? If it had been on the website, then I would already know this. This also happened to my buddy so I know that this was not advertised. And then to refuse a refund makes me think this was a big scam. Not happy with Caliber's right now.

Calibers on Cutler… One word: unacceptable. Im a member and requested a “cease fire” in order for them to retrieve MY PERSONAL TARGET that I brought from MY HOUSE. Due to their raggedy cardboard holders being chewed up from previous people, their ENTIRE cardboard fixture fell to the floor during my session as it was on its way back to me with the automatic guide. I politely asked the clerk if it’s possible to retrieve MY target. His response: “we can get you another one”. That’s not what I asked you, sir. I ask again what we can do to get my target. His response: “we can move you over to another lane”. Again — that’s not what I asked you. His further answer: “we’d have to call a cease fire to do that, sir.” OK. Great. Can we do that? His next response: “we can’t call a cease fire just for a target sir..” OK. I gather my stuff and begin packing up. As I begin to leave, they then turn the lights off and call a cease fire. Well, no, don’t do it now! You already told me you couldn’t do it. After I politely asked 3 TIMES!! You guys had absolutely NO INTEREST in helping a member — monthly paying customer — with an issue that could’ve easily been fixed — until I started to leave. You guys will no longer get my money nor see my face in this location again. I’ll GLADLY go to your sister store. UNACCEPTABLE. You guys have a good day.

Went there to shoot at the range but I wanted to look around for a bit, but when I wanted to purchase some items nobody helped or acknowledged I was there. Waited 20 minutes before I left.

We had a great experience at Calibers until we needed to cancel our membership. Sadly, it drastically damaged our opinion of them. We would recommend avoiding membership with this company. We moved out of state and simply needed to cancel our auto-recurring monthly membership. My husband called and was directed to call someone else who then redirected him yet again to someone who wasn't in the office. He left a voicemail and never received a call back. He was so frustrated after a couple of weeks of trying that I took over and found the cancellation info on the website. It literally required emailing proof of our move to do so, which is ridiculous, and when I submitted proof, they requested FURTHER proof because both mine and my husband's name wasn't on the first. They then stated that they needed to "do further research" and that we should follow up in 5-7 days. No, I'm sorry, but that's your job to provide confirmation of cancellation. Whoever set up the policies for cancellation makes the company look like they just want to squeeze as much membership money out of you as possible. This should require nothing more than the click of a "cancel my membership" button in your online account and perhaps a pop-up confirmation window that you click a second time.

I just moved to Albuquerque from another state. I have purchased from SportsmanΓÇÖs and CabelaΓÇÖs but the Cutler CaliberΓÇÖs location has the better more knowledgeable staff. CaliberΓÇÖs has gunsmithing as well. I also like their membership packages. I like dealing with small hometown businesses and Calibers gives me that personal experience.

David McGhee was a great instructor. I highly recommend him due to his knowledge and ability. However heΓÇÖs humble and very approachable to talk to. HeΓÇÖs great fit for new shooters or shooters lacking confidence. Great experience

My friend and I booked a one hour private lesson with John Mallory, and we couldnΓÇÖt be happier with the experience. John was extremely patient with us and met us at our comfort and skill levels. We could both tell that he knew what he was talking about, and his level of professionalism was unmatched. It was really cool learning from someone that had a great interest in the topic and knew how to teach others. I would recommend lessons with John to anyone, and will definitely be back to this location in the future!

Have a blast here every time I shoot. The employees are really nice and knowledgeable. They have many lanes and I will keep coming back because I enjoy getting to shoot in an indoor range with easy replaceable targets. I do recommend if you go on a slow day to be a space apart from the next shooter because their casings will be flying in your face when you shoot even with the separator in between. Other than that great range. Sometimes the staff can be alittle cocky will never go to the Westside location because the are just jerks there.

Terrible place to learn how to shoot. My grandma now has permanent hearing damage and is likely more scared of guns than when she went in. What would be nice is if they trained their staff so that they could train you.. the very least expected is how to insert the in-ear plugs properly, or better yet, give them adequate over ear protection! Is $15 too much for you? Or add that to your price and send them home with the set so they ALWAYS have protection! What an easy and simple solution, right? It's too much for calibers, apparently. What a joke of a class that won't keep you safe. If you have any onjuries, keep in mind that gross negligence is not protected by their liability waiver. Consult with an attorney for free.

Tried to get a basic handgun rental and use of a range. The afternoon clerk [3/24/2021] was unhelpful; he told me they weren't doing any rentals without explaining why, told me the other Calibers across town was not either, and turned me away. Just to be sure, I proceeded to the Coors location instead, and they were able to get me in immediately, even providing me with a discount for my military service. Why did the clerk at this location lie?

Gun range is nice but the staff seemed annoyed when I asked to rent a lane or even to purchase ammo. The store wasnΓÇÖt too busy but everyone was doing something rather than assisting. If there were other indoor ranges I would go there. The only thing that is nice is military discounts on Mondays.
