Had the pleasure of taking my initial CCW range qualifications course with Rich and his wife. This was a very positive experience. They made me feel welcome. The class was lighthearted, very professional and knowledgeable and safety was of the utmost importance. Our class had 9 students, instructions were clear, questions and safety concerns were addressed immediately and at no time did the instructors belittle any students and welcomed all questions. We were even offered their direction in future assistance by the instructors making themselves available for phone calls in the event students had questions with purchasing the proper equipment. The course was timely with all objectives met for each students needs. Due to my busy schedule I wanted to qualify with 5 weapons that evening, Rich offered excellent instruction in order to meet my goal and succeed. I appreciate the accommodations of C2A range and staff, for the clean and well maintained facility, classroom and restrooms. I have been a member for 2 years and will continue my membership. I look forward to future classes and friendly conversations with the staff. Keep up the good work! If I could make any suggestions, maybe consider vending machines since many students come to class from out of the area right after work. Dan

Don't be a minority wearing a beanie and a hoodie because it's 40 degrees outside or you'll be stereotyped into oblivion! How is it that on your website it says "Courses Currently Accepted By: Stanislaus, Escalon PD". Then I schedule an appointment to add a gun to my San Joaquin county CCW permit and when I get there I get told they don't train for San Joaquin County. Escalon PD is in SJC right? How does that make sense? Then when I mention it, the attitude I received was highly unprofessional. Not to mention the constant judgmental looks and passive aggressive comments about not pointing guns at people? We haven't even hit the range yet and you're making assumptions on our firearm safety and common sense? Totally opposite experience compared to one I had at the gun shop. Which was excellent.

Took intro to handgun class here on 1mar2017. Instructors were very easy to talk with and eager to help shooters learn the fundamentals and shoot SAFELY. Really got quite a bit out of the class and cant wait to move on to the next class in the progression. Went back on March 4th with family and had a super time as well. Iwill definitely be recommending C.S.S. to others. GOOD JOB GUYS! P.S.-going back Today too lol Cant comment on the new ownership or anything just yet but will check it out a.s.a.p.

Been a member even before it was Call 2 Arms, (California Shooting Sport). Staff have always been kind and friendly, ready to assist you whether beginner or experienced shooter! Encouraging to the youth! I brought my gΓÇÖson in to shoot and he was welcomed and actually complemented on his gun handling by the staff. He was thrilled to think these experienced shooters, running this place, noticed him! They make you feel like a friend when you walk in the door! But! They tolerate no horsing around, and even with their smiles greeting you, they are cautious to assure the people that are already shooting are kept safe! To me, itΓÇÖs a great environment! Range itself is clean and remodeled. It looks very nice and will soon have a bigger ΓÇ£storeΓÇ¥ as they finish expanding! Hey, you want a safe, clean, indoor range to shoot at, or need information for concealed carry classes, or renewal of, this is your place! New shooter? They have classes to help you from first taking a gun out of its box the RIGHT way, to becoming a competitive shooter, if you want to go that far! Try them out! I did, love the place!

Nice staff. The range is the same as it was when it was was called California shooting sports but the storefront is a lot nicer .

Great experience very nice and well educated staff very professional they will help you with any questions or issues that you may have. They have an excellent amount of gun rentals, I purchased the yearly membership it is well worth the money, thank you Jerry and to all your staff you guys n gals are awesome.

California Shooting Range is clean and the staff is very friendly and professional! Plenty of parking and easy to find off of Hwy 99.

It was my 22nd birthday, and my girlfriend treated me to shooting. I hadnΓÇÖt shot in many years; to keep it short, these people took care of us. Made sure we were adequate with the rules and handling of the firearm, then safely placed us onto the firing range. The kind man and his wife will not disappoint you. 10/10 from me, we will definitely be returning.

We stopped by on the way home during our vacation. This is an indoor range with a few rental options. We were greeted by friendly staff, filled out the necessary forms and were provided with everything we needed. Great time!

On March 21st, 2023 at approximately 5:00 p.m. I decided to make a quick range trip to California Shooting Sports to zero my red dot, with my buddy who is looking into becoming a first time gun owner. Upon entering the building I was aware it was quite busy and there was a fairly large gathering by the counter, which was students attending their ccw class. I did not feel like intruding so I stood by the cash register where I was greeted by a guy who was wearing a ball cap and had a blonde beard he asked me in a polite manner what brought me in. So I looked over to see how busy it was in the shooting lanes as I replied I'm here to rent a lane. He replied by stating " You don't seem confident" he continued by asking if I had been here before and I stated yes. He proceeded by asking my friend and I for our IDs and assigned us to lane 7. Unfortunately, this was the deal breaker. It's unfortunate how we have people, instructors, range masters and gun shop clerks like this doing a disservice to the 2A community. Don't be a Fudd, Respectfully.
