Fun activity in SLO

This place is filled with knowledge and enthusiasm and at such a steal. I got to rent a bow, arrows, and range space for an hour for just $25 bucks. This also came with some basic instruction! Very good deal

This was the coolest place. Bella was such an informative, patient, always in tune with everything going on, and such a great teacher. I look forward to now taking all my friends and family that come and visit, to an intro class. Although the class was only an hour, it was long enough that my arms started to hurt 😜, and I couldn't use up the entire time slot. Recommend a thousand percent for a fun time with the entire family. They can accommodate and highly recommended for kids as well. They provide everything you need, just call ahead of time to schedule a lesson.

They were knowledgeable, and did go out of their way to help. However, simultaneously, there was a lot of talking down about the beginners gear we had by the staff. Separately, and not included in this review, there was a patron (of retiree age, no less) who was so insecure with who they are that they made fun of my little kid for their shots. Frankly, there should be large, clear range rules posted that include being respectful of your fellow range mates. WonΓÇÖt be returning.

My friends and I went here on a whim for a beginner's class. It was excellent. There were 9 of us and we basically alternated using the range. But it never felt slow. The staff gave us great starting lesson and we were able to start shooting almost immediately. They also gave extra attention to folks who needed more help. The price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend it.

This shop is great. They are incredibly helpful and friendly. I went in and purchased my first recurve bow on Saturday. They answered all my questions. They were informative and welcoming to the sport. I didn't feel like i was being upsold on anything I didnt need. They carry quality products and are definitely passionate about what they do.

Incredibly helpful staff, reasonable prices and awesome environment. Everyone that walked in were greeted by there name. They all shared stories and it felt like what a family owned local business should be like.

I went in today to get help with getting my compound bow sighted in. They ended up trading me for an awesome bow that was on consignment. They were super friendly and knowledgable. I came out of the shop shooting way better than before. I'd recommend Central Coast Archery to anyone. It's a must stop shop for any archery needs if you're in the SLO area.

I took my family there today and they were able to give us a private lesson on a short notice. We had a great time learning! We bought a couple of recurve bows, some arrows and some other gear that we need. They were very friendly and accommodating to us beginners. I recommend this shop any day!

I'm sure this is a great place BUT when my family and I walked in one of the workers (tall, thin, white male) looked at us like we don't belong there. We are a Hispanic family and we walked into this place because my son was interested in Archery classes. We asked him a few questions and he answered them all but it was just the look and vibe he gave us. Everyone else gave good reviews so who knows maybe it's just me.

The friendly, family nature of CCA is what brought us in, and my wife and I went from never thinking about Archery to practicing it regularly and using it to put food on the table. The owners are terrific, helpful and knowledgeable, and definitely go the extra mile every time. I cannot recommend this business enough. Their low-pressure, informative retail style is refreshing and they are as attentive to a child holding a bow for the first time all the way to National Champion Archers and renowned hunters. One of the few retail establishments that I will just pop in to say Hi. Do yourself a favor and put their range on your list of "date night" activities.

This has the feel of a family run business, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, but I often feel like I have to wait for service while they chat with friends. The range and pros shop are well stocked and they get 5 stars for their inventory and ability to answer questions. I deduced one star due to the above mentioned inconvenience and for the fact that none of the employees, nor most of the patrons were wearing masks.

My family and I had been wanting to try archery for a while and we decided to try Central Coast Archery. I have to say that it was a wonderful experience thanks to Joel and his father's help and guidance. They were so patient and helpful with everyone Even though we were all completely new to archery Great experience that I would reccomend to anyone considering shooting a bow and arrow.

Scott and the other staff at Central Coast Archery are skilled and patient. I am a beginner and they take great pains to make sure that we are safe while on the range. They have a wide selection of bows from fun beginner versions to professional. I highly recommend you stop by and check it out!

This is my 8 year old son's favorite place. He has been taking lessons at Central Coast Archery for almost a year now. Everyone is so patient with the kids and they really care for them and their personal growth. It's the highlight of my week to go and watch him shoot with his coaches. I highly recommend CCA.

I first knew the owners and staff as teachers and guides in my exploration of recurve archery. They have become friends, and trusted advisors whenever my skills need fine-tuning. Scott, Joel, and Ethan will lead you to the right equipment for your needs, and they won't ever hard sell their gear. Plus, the archery range is a clean and well lit place to practice.
