Big fan of what Brad is doing here. Lots of variety on the sporting clays setup. He really seems thoughtful on the red vs white vs orange station setups, generally equating to easier, medium difficulty, challenging so newbs to old hats can dial things in. Definitely recommend a visit to check out this place. Friendly and welcoming folks.

George was SO nice. I went with my family and three of us had never really even touched a gun before going. George showed us the ropes, gave us advice, and was so patient. We did the 5 platform option with 25 shots each and that was a great amount for us, especially as beginners. Thank you so much to the lovely staff!

We had a company outing, and the experience was excellent. We ranged in experience to never having fired a gun before to some with experience with clay shooting. Everyone had a wonderful time. Brad gave insightful instruction to all levels and created a relaxed but safe environment. The course is also setup to provide all levels with a challenge. All around great time. Highly recommend.

My husband and I took a lesson with Mr Dennis. He was a wonderful instruction and offered tons of tips. Safety first. We are now addicted to sporting clay shooting and will be heading back to take another lesson. The place was clean, staff incredibly friendly, great course. 10/10!

Stopped in on a weekday afternoon as a single shooter. Friendly staff. Course is an easy walk (carts were available) and nice variety of targets. Owner is very personable and my wife and I enjoyed chatting with him before we headed out.

We had a corporate outing at the course this September and everyone truly enjoyed the experience. The highlight of the experience was Brad and his wonderful staff. Can't say enough good things about how professional, warm, and friendly everyone was. Don't miss out on the fried chicken lunch after you shoot and if you get a chance to strike up a conversation with Brad, the owner, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Brad is an amazing instructor. My wife and I took a lesson from him last week and he took us from basic weapon safety to hitting clays. Brad is a very patient and encouraging instructor. The facility itself is tucked away and feels well tended and safe. Highly recommend.

Brad runs one of the most customer-focused, efficient and friendly sporting clay organizations in Virginia. If you are a novice or expert, you will have an excellent and safe experience. Unique date night activity, team building, or executive function potential. If youΓÇÖve never attempted sporting clays, and are on the fence, donΓÇÖt hesitate.

This is a true clay shooting gem. Brad sets very fair and challenging targets that challenge shooters of all levels. He and his staff are incredibly helpful and eager to help, especially new shooters. Corporate groups will love the temperature controlled enclosed pavilion and different event options. Absolutely worth the drive!

Central Virginia Sporting Clays is a great place to shoot. Brad is a honest and down to earth guy. He's always held a conversation with us when we say hello as we're coming or going. His staff is just as friendly. Prices are standard if not a little better than other areas I've shoot at. You'll get a pre-loaded card with how many birds you want to shoot. The equipment is newer, and everything is well kept up out there. You won't find a lot of trash, or spent shells laying around. The course itself is set in the woods, and it winds up and down, and all around. It's an extremely well set up course in regards to how each station is set up. You'll find four throwers at each station. So if you go out there just too have fun, you'll have plenty to shoot at. If you show up for one of their NSCA registered fun shoots they always have fried chicken, and great sides from a local food mart up the road. It's damn good chicken.

I went to Central Virginia Sporting Clays as part of the larger group. Though I had never held a shotgun, Brad, an owner and phenomenal instructor, made the entire experience fun, engaging, encouraging and safe! The property is huge, to say the least. You will not get bored over here. While my group only used the first pit-stop, you can spend the entire day here at different stops. It was an extremely fun experience. I would highly recommend Central Virginia Sporting Clays to anyone!

My wife, best friend and I went to Central Virginia Sporting Clays based off of the amazing reviews of the complex as well as the fact that the owner is a well-seasoned shooter. Let me just say that this range is remote and absolutely beautiful. Brad (the owner) was extremely helpful and walked us through all of the automation for his courses. He even took the time to throw up some clays to help us refine our shot before we ventured out onto his beautiful property. We loved our time here and will be returning for more fun in the future.

My girlfriend and I went to shoot on Saturday of Easter weekend and loved it. This course is set way back in the forest on a beautiful piece of land at the end of a long dirt road. Google maps will get you there, but slightly mis-marks the entrance on the route. If you're on 680 and it says "you have arrived" and you're still not seeing anything, just keep driving - you're right around the corner. The target presentations are challenging and varied - many of the stations have 4 different throwers, so you can create your own pairs however you want. We shot 1.5 rounds and could've kept shooting all day. My girlfriend has shot every course in North Carolina and said this is probably the most beautiful she's been to. The owner/manager is a friendly, retired pro shooter and maintains his course beautifully. I wish we lived closer - I would love to shoot here weekly.

Had a great time using the sporting clays course. Pretty challenging because of the topography. Well marked targets. Great new equipment. Staff was so nice and helpful. Awesome 6 stars
