Excellent shooting range. Have been there twice for grandson's shooting sports competitions. Stayed in RV first time, which is on the property. Took our side by side and drove it all over the compound. Loved it, except there are no sewer hookups at campsites. There is a bathroom located nearby to use, but no showers. We made it work and had a great time!

A beautiful complex with plenty of bays , skeet and trap , and some of the most exciting competitions are held here! The park is well managed and maintained by Hornady and it shows!

We had a small company outing today and oh wow. Since Hornady and Tom took over what a great experience. Super accommodating. We went about 10 minutes over our time but we're never told to stop. In fact Tom's staff stepped in and help us score and pull trap. Heartland shooting park is a step ahead Since hornady took over. The previous staff would have kicked us out. Great job to Tom, his staff an Hornady. Thanks for making our outing great.

Very nice facility. We are here each year for the 4-H National Championships. Since Hornady took over management, there have been improvements, and the say they have more in store for the facility. The staff was available all week to help where needed.

If you want to actually enjoy shooting your firearms and actually improve your skills, do yourself a favor, save the trip. I have been to numerous ranges over the past 4 years and never in my time as a gun owner experienced a shooting range that is more focused on image over actually serving us gun owners. I have been here three times in the past two months and the first time was fantastic (before the Hornady transition). Both times since I have gone it is more frustrating trying to actually shoot when they call a cease fire every five minutes and getting mad if you are a good shot firing more than one round within a second. I thought the point of training was to improve? The final nail in the coffin was being told that the range is closed due to the national matches for cleaning, yet they're closed for two weekdays, short hours on the weekend, and yet there is not a single person working on the rifle and pistol range itself. Only landscaping. If you are going to be a gun range, I suggest you actually care about the locals who want to enjoy their firearms and improve and train. If you want to piss people off, keep doing what you're doing. Stay away from this illogical range if you're a serious shooter. There are much better places to visit and enjoy your free time.

What an awesome experience! Very clean, organized and so many options as far as ranges to choose from. Metal targets for no charge. The staff, both were super nice and easy to talk to. I wonΓÇÖt ever forget it! Thank you

Checkout is a little arduous and the floors in the clubhouse are slippery. Overall, amazing facility.

The park itself is very nice, good facilities and pricing isnΓÇÖt bad. We had a horrible experience however with the man behind the counter. Midway through our round of trap the machine stopped throwing, and we ran out of credits trying to get it to throw. Figuring it was out of clays, we asked if we could reload it ourselves (knowing fully how to do it) and were allowed by the employee. After this, we loaded an extra round into the machine to finish our box, hoping we could be comped for it, considering we did their job for them and were screwed out of the rest of our box. When we went inside, I proceeded to be lectured by the man behind the counter on why we were wrong and would be ΓÇ£screwing the companyΓÇ¥. Five minutes later, after a line was forming behind us, he informed us that he actually did what we wanted from the beginning. He completely misunderstood us, and we got a very unfriendly speech for it. I did not appreciate the absolute attitude we got as paying customers (in front of a line of people) when range staff donΓÇÖt do their jobs.

Pretty good range, but the cost is incredibly high. There's not exactly a lot of competition in GI, so I think a $10 fee would be quite appropriate. I'd sure be able to convince more friends to come with me more often, that's for sure.

Run by boomers. They aren't open November 10, for veterans day. Yet veterans day is the 11th not the 10th. Also, the 10th is the day before hunting season, so they should be open. But don't worry you can check their Google maps for the hours... except they don't update it. They aren't open, except for the fact they have a guy working there to tell you they aren't open... Not to mention the boomer style range safety officers. No shooting from the hip? No shooting more than once per second. No drawing from the holster? Fudd range
