Absolutely amazing experience with the defensive pistol course. I appreciate the guidance and training. We'll be coming back for sure! Looking forward to learning more from you guys.

Very good place to take your pistol permit class, was very helpful and informative. The one recommendation I will really emphasize is if you are signing up for the Utah permit, DO NOT have them do your fingerprints. The kid who did them for me did a poor job, and Utah would not accept my prints. The business also does not give refunds, so don't take the chance, just have your local PD do them for you digitally.

These guys are great. I took my NRA Pistol Permit Course here and was happy with the class. They have a nice shop and indoor gun range. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our first instructor, Matthew, spoke WAY too fast for an any beginner. I know a fair share about firearms already, so it was more manageable for me to get through his training, however I felt bad for those in the class who may not have known ANYTHING about firearms or firearm safety. When taking a break, a few students even made comments, asking ΓÇ£So are you guys having a hard time understanding him too?ΓÇ¥ Not to mention he had a very stoic personality that honestly came across as rude. Brent was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, engaged is in what he was teaching us, and gave ample time to understand what he was saying and to ask questions.

very friendly staff, super informative course. i took the basic pistol permit course. hadnΓÇÖt so much as looked at a gun irl prior but left feeling very comfortable and confident with the idea of owning one. the only thing was I wish I had a bit more time to live fire. Got to shoot two 9 round mags but wouldΓÇÖve liked to try more. other than that great place i highly recommend it, will likely come back to fire/purchase a firearm (and see sergeant again)

I took the pistol permit class within the last year, and I was very pleased. The instructors were thorough, and didnΓÇÖt waste any time. They answered any and all questions asked of them in a polite and professional manner, and I had decent amount of questions since this was all new to me. Even months after my class I called and asked questions about the application process, and they were more than happy to help, even with questions that were out of their scope, they put the energy into helping me find the answers. Connecticut Firearms Training LLC is the place to take your class!

Just completed basic pistol course here this past weekend. Would highly recommend. Matt explained/demonstrated everything to help you pass the test with ease. He frequently stopped to ask if anyone had questions and made sure you understood fully before moving on. It was my first time firing a pistol but I felt confident from his instructions and tips during dry fire. IΓÇÖll be returning after I receive my carry permit to purchase and test some devices.

Never handled a firearm before taking my pistol permit class. After my first experience learning from Brent, I already canΓÇÖt get enough training in. I have the confidence and knowledge to safely practice. Thank you for making the experience memorable and continuing to give such great service through covid. CanΓÇÖt wait to come back!

Took a class here today and had the best experience ever. All of the instructors were amazing. I was so nervous and they all assured me to pay attention during class and I would do just fine. The owner was the one who informed me that I had passed. I love this range and will absolutely be returning and recommending It to my colleagues. Thank you to the instructors.

Took a class here with my close friend and initially I was skeptical R/T a cancelation D/T and absent instructor. I stayed positive about the situation, they rescheduled me and IΓÇÖm so happy I followed through. Brent the instructor was made for this - the guy knows how to be serious but also lighten the mood and made the experience enjoyable. The course itself was very informative - we learned the laws within CT, how to handle a firearm, practiced dry firing, and did some live firing for the finale. The gun shop was very clean - the range was very professional including the people w/I it who came to practice. The shooting instructor was amazing and showed you step by step - for the learners who need more guidance. The group was small which made for a better experience we supported each other which Brent coordinated us into doing; he does not tolerate people being butt holes to other who may not understand a concept he encourages people to ask questions and will ask over and over which made me very happy especially when someone had a question and he answered with enthusiasm - I can go on and on man just take the course professionalism, humor, relaxed, informative and amazing are all the right adjectives for this place. ΓÇ£YO BRENT WHAT UP MAN YOURE AWESOME SOON AS I GET WHAT I NEED IM COMING TO SPEND MONEY WITH YOU GUYS MAN, thanks for everything sincerelyΓÇ¥

My friend and I took their carry concealed class a couple months ago. Having taken a similar class in Ohio, I would say this one was superior. The instructors were informative, patient, knowledgeable and professional -- and made the class fun for all. I took a second session ("try before you buy") which let me try a variety of handguns. Again, the instructor was fantastic, knowledgeable and really a pleasure to learn from. I highly recommend Connecticut Firearms Training. I saw a comment about women not being welcome, and judging from the many in our class and the fun they appeared to have (as with the rest of us), I would dispute this. The instructors went out of their way to ensure all were treated well, with respect and instructed thoroughly.

recently took one of the intermediate classes with these guys. First.. the classroom information was very useful.... stuff to think about before you are confronted with a bad situation at home. now... let's talk about the range exercises... let me tell you.. its one thing to stand there in a booth at the range and put a hole inn a piece of stationary paper.. it's very different drawing live from a holster... shooting around obstacles.... moving while acquiring a target and "wholly cow" in the dark.... moving with a flash light... yeah that's real life....and not easy.. .. this class was worth every penny.. and frankly if you're going to carry.. or have a weapon in your home.. this should be mandatory. The instructors... frankly.. they were more like coaches.. no judging.. they showed me what i needed to do... walked me through doing it.. and then helped me understand.. the many things...i was doing wrong... and yep... it really was actually a ton of fun.. The only thing i would want more.... the class would have been amazing if it could be in a house style range.. but c'mon i know that's not going to happen for that little money.. and the time went by way to fast with so much to learn.. but for the money great value. going to take the other classes for sure.

My husband and I have both been through the class (me recently and him about a year or two ago). I found it extremely informative and the instructors very engaging. Focus was on safety and I definitely appreciated learning from knowledgeable people with a ton of hands on experience. I would highly recommend this class to anyone seeking their classroom portion of their gun permit. Looking forward to taking other classes with Bill and his team! Thanks again, Nyree
