Cresap Rifle Club

Q: Is there military discount, and is cameras allowed when recording yourself only?
A: There is no military discount and cameras are not allowed at the range, sorry. The range is basically open so we are seeking to preserve privacy of others.

Q: Is it possible to use a chronograph at the pistol and rifle ranges?
A: Hi G Vonk, using a chronograph at the rifle range is okay because shooters are seated at the bench in a stationary position. Because the pistol range is standing there is a higher likelihood of problems so we prefer you don't do that. Hope this helps.

Q: Wasn't sure what was the entrance, the place might have been shutdown. The address where cars were parked seemed like a state training facility.
A: That is the police department training facility. If you drive down that road a little you will see a fence that looks like a path, and a gravel parking lot. You park in that lot then go into that little fence area. It will be the 2nd place on that road.

Came here for the first time today. Staff were all very friendly, professional, and supportive of newcomers. Range was very clean and each lane had a lot of space. It was $15 cash for each shooter and +$5 for each additional hour which is much cheaper than any other range in the area. This included spotting scopes, sandbags, and targets which was awesome. Concessions were also cheap. Personally, itΓÇÖs the best range in the area - definitely will be coming back!

Great outdoor range. Staff are friendly and flexible. My go to spot to refine my skills. Too bad they are open to public only once a week.

The biggest range safety violation that happens here is the RSOs (range safety officers) making new and young shooters feel extremely nervous and never want to go shooting again. They would constantly yell and berate the new shooters for minor rule infractions, and stand over us literally belly to back breathing down our necks. Do not go here if you are a new shooter.

Great staff clean and safe range. Reasonably priced as well. Bring your own ammo. No rapid fire or full auto.

Nice outdoor facility to spend a couple hours shooting on Sundays. The members are friendly, and safety conscious. It is a nonprofit, so the prices are great!

New shooters beware the range officers are condescending and overbearing as they pick apart all small mistakes you may make. They preach safety yet make you more nervous and prone to mistakes due to their know it all attitude and smugness.

Staff was extremely overbearing and micromanaging us at all times. Not friendly to new shooters at all and seems like they wanted to kick us out rather then help us learn. Only come here if you want multiple staff breathing down your neck at all times.

Really fuddy. Target changes every hour, and the range officers are really overbearing. Otherwise, not a bad range.

I just got my hunting rifle and came here to sight it in. This was my first time and I had more trouble than I thought. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to take care of me. I'm ready for my first hunting season thanks to the guys. I can't recommend this place enough.

Great range. Open to the public on Sundays. Been there twice. First time was super busy. Second time had far fewer folks at the line. Really friendly range officers and other patrons were super friendly as well. Helpful and fun group.

This is an amazing place to take your kids. They do allow muzzle breaks so the place can get loud. Other than that it is amazing.

1st time there. Large outdoor range, many lanes, very clean and you CANNOT beat the prices. Range Safety Officers are professional, courteous, and helpful. Lastly, there's ample parking just past it on the right. I felt welcomed and will return. Glad I found this place!!

My father, brother, & I visited the range during the public availability on Sunday (10AM-3PM) & paid $8 for unlimited time in lane 19, shooting at targets 50 & 100 yards away. The lane came with a tripod-scope & sand-bags; so, my brother watched through the scope as I shot, & we switched positions at the end of every hour during the Cease-Fire called over the intercom (when we collected our targets & the people there stapled new ones). Before we started (as we signed in), I paid $3 for safety-glasses. Each target costs $1, & we paid $13 at the end ($8 + 5 $1-targets), for a total of $16 that day. I brought my Mosin-Nagant 91/30 & my own ammo to shoot; one of the instructors helped me with it since he also owns a Mosin. He was both courteous & understanding, as it was my first time with that rifle. I highly recommend Cresap Rifle-Club's public hours on Sunday & eagerly anticipate returning to shoot again!

Visited Cresap Gun Range this morning to complete/verify sighting my scope on my muzzleloader. Great people and very professionally operated range! I really appreciate the people who dedicate their time and effort to provide a safe and professionally managed range. The opportunity provided is very much appreciated. As long as you abide by the rules and regulations you should have no issues. The rules and regulations are in place to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe outing and make it home without incident. Follow the rules, be safe, and you will have a great experience. Thank you to the staff for a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.

The absolute rudest people on the planet. Unbelievable how they treat their customers. As noted by other reviewers they would rather curse than help anyone. Never going back
