My husband and I went last night for our first visit. We will definitely be back. Outstanding facility and Jake welcomed us us soon as we were buzzed into the building. My husband is an experienced hunter and shooter however, I am not. Jake took the time to answer questions, especially mine, review safety, policy, procedures and told us anything we needed he was there to just let him know. If you have experience, you will enjoy Crosshairs. My review is the let the less experienced who are wanting to get started, to pursue their conceal & carry or if you just want to see what it's about--they are wonderful!

I have taken a couple of classes at Crosshairs. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and skilled. The facilities are also great.

Nothing has changed. This place is still awesome. I'm a retired military veteran who was visiting family and heard that Fort Ashby had a range so I decided to check it out. This place is what an indoor range should be. As an experienced firearms instructor, and range safety officer, I can appreciate how things are run at this facility. I didn't expect such a top shelf establishment and personnel in small town WV. The level of professionalism and cleanliness is on par with "fancier" high dollar club ranges I've been to. Even though I had brought my own ammunition, I could appreciate and complied with their range ammo only policy because, as a professional, I understand the risks. Many thanks to Luke, Paul, and the younger guy who's name I didn't get for the welcoming environment as well as the owner for opening and maintaining such a place. My experience definitely motivates me to recommend this place to others who are looking for a safe and controlled environment. Their laser range is ideal for anyone who might be apprehensive about firearms. It will allow people to learn safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship without firing a real gun. I hope that I will get back to visit the area more often and spend more time here.

This place is awesome! Visited from out of town and being an amateur shooter wasn't sure what to expect. Staff was super friendly, very knowledgeable, very helpful. Ended up joining their membership program and have been coming ever since.

10/10 FANTASTIC customer service! My boyfriend and I went for our 7 year anniversary on Halloween and had a wonderful time! It was my first time shooting anything and the gentleman working explained everything so well. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

[UPDATE ADDED] I took their "First Shots" class and it was great! I was VERY nervous, but the staff quickly put me at ease. The material was interesting & well-presented, questions were encouraged, and the instructor was both friendly and knowledgeable. I will most definitely be going back to take additional classes! I also liked that the classes are kept small, so the instructor had time to give extra help to anyone needing it when we got to the live fire part of the class. It was a very postive experience. [UPDATE BELOW] From 7 September 2024: I took the "LADIES ONLY NRA Basic Pistol Course" yesterday and just.. wow. I really liked the previous "First Shots" class (reviewed it as well last month), so when I saw this course was available, I pretty much pounced on it! The course was very interesting and goes into more detail than First Shots (another excellent basic class!) does. This is something that I, personally, need in order to feel comfortable about anything I attempt to learn. And the course was just plain fun, as well. The instructor, Becky, was wonderful and seemed to have endless patience with my questions. It was a very long class so we took a couple of breaks, plus time for lunch. There was a lot of material to cover before we got to the live fire part of the course. I was surprised how much I'd retained from my previous class, but it defintely gave my confidence a boost as well as helping me really understand the additional/new info. I also did a LOT better doing the live fire portion than I'd anticipated. Becky was awesome about gently making me aware when I needed to correct my stance, grip, or aim. Every one of the staff I've met has been very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable-- they like their jobs and it shows! I totally recommend this course for any woman new to shooting. I'm looking forward to the next courses I'll be taking when I'm ready.
