Q: I live in Illinois can I go there and do I have to own a gun ?
A: As long as you are not a felon, drunk or high, you may come to Davenport Guns and Shooting Center. If you want to shoot, you must have valid ID. Driver's license and passport both work. You may bring your own firearm, or rent one from our rental pool. Y

A: You you can go there to use the range as they have all sorts of guns to rent. You must have a valid picture I'd and not be a felon.

Q: Do you need FOID card or gun license to use shooting range??
A: Nope. Iowa is a free state, unlike the people's republic of Illinois, no FOID card required. Permit to carry isnt needed to use the range but if do not have one and youre transporting any firearms you legally own to the range make sure you follow applicable Iowa law.

A: In general, no. We do, however, offer a consignment program. On occasion, we will purchase rare or specialty items.

It is great to be able to target practice in the winter and bad weather. The people are friendly and I love visiting with the dogs. They have a nice selection of guns and gear I can drool over.

Well run, a bit pricey. Waisted some time messing with the camera settings thinking it was something to do with the target movement. Some labeling for people new to the range would have been helpful. Overall a very good experience.

Have bought from them, had firearms shipped to them and used their indoor range all my experience have great. No complaints everything has been smooth sailing. Highly recommend the store. Lots of firearms in stock and even more on their website. The staff is always friendly.

We've had wonderful experiences here. Both of us are new shooters the class had great information and instructions, after the class we went out to the range and were able to practice with our instructors. Since then, I've been back several times and the experience keeps getting better. The staff is very helpful and answers all my questions and has offered much support.

The staff at Davenport Guns were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. Being able to rent any gun available for $10 was a great perk! However, the check-in process for practice shooting was frustratingly complicated, even for someone who is comfortable with technology. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the shooting room itself. While I understand it was an exceptionally cold day, the temperature inside the room was uncomfortably low, with cold air blowing throughout. This made it difficult to stay and enjoy the experience. Can I get at least a space heater? I apologize for the negative feedback, but I wanted to share my honest experience. I hope these concerns can be addressed, as the staff truly made a great impression.
