DavTac Custom Arms & Ammo

I brought in a shotgun that had a stuck set screw to have the screw removed . It took the gunsmith 15 minutes to remove 2 screws and DavTac charged me $49.50 including tax. That's an hourly rate of $198. I realize I was paying for use of tools and skill I don't have, but no one in that store is worth that rate. If you have gun work to be done look elsewhere.

I've taken classes and purchased several firearms and many accessories from Dav-Tac. Every interaction I have had with them has been professional and informative. This place has the best selection of firearms in the SΓÇÖPort/Bossier City area! All kinds & price ranges & uses. Staff was friendly & greeted me as I walked in. Indoor range inside. IΓÇÖll be back in there when IΓÇÖm in the area again!

I recently went through a class led by Joey Miguez and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. There were 4 people with me and we all walked away confident in everything we learned. Our overall experience with Davtac was great! I'd highly recommend checking them out, whether it's a course you want to take (they offer several), buying guns and ammunition or going to the range to practice shooting. My husband and I will definitely be back. Thanks for everything guys, ya'll are great!

Went in looking for a $5k+ precision rifle. Took maybe 5 minutes for the guys to acknowledge me. When i asked about precision he went to the back and said the gun smith will come out and talk to me. 20 minutes later I just left. I guess they didn't want my money. Too bad. Seems like more of a tacti-cool place than a precision shop, but how would I know? I couldn't get anyone to talk to me.

Nice friendly people, answer all my questions I had, having my shotgun refurbished, haven't heard anything back on my refurbished gun yet, so I can't rate the quality of there work, haven't seen it. 4 star fir now.

Hands down, the best gun store in Northwest Louisiana. The staff are industry professionals and enthusiast themselves, you can tell they have a true passion for the industry. Would highly recommend this business for any standard or custom firearm purchase.

Very helpful employees, I stopped by rite at opening time with a issue on a rifle I purchased somewhere else and they let me talk to the gunsmith and he very quickly solved the problem and I was on my way back to the woods , I've never had any bad experiences with services or products from them

The employees are super friendly and very helpful. You donΓÇÖt see your typical gun shop commando attitudes here. IΓÇÖve purchased several holsters here and IΓÇÖve always been treated well. Yes, I will return.

They stole money from a friend. He bought a gun but had to wait for a back ground check to come back. They said they would call him in 3 days. Well after 7 days he call and they said yes come get it. When he showed up he decided he did not want the gun because he is left-handed. They said they could give him his money back but would have to keep $90 of it as a restocking fee. In Louisiana if a restocking fee is not posted you cannot come back and say there will be one. Then offer to put the 90 on a more expensive gun if he is will to buy from them. This is a big deal because he never took possession of the gun and still got robbed. stay away from this place.

Well so far I've had a few issues one we ordered a part for a gun for our son and he had the gun for over 6 months before they ever even ordered it and we had to call numerous times and they would say oh we're so busy we forgot it took us almost 8 months I think to get the part and they didn't offer no discounter anything for us waiting so long also I've been trying to get ahold of them for a couple days and no 1 ever answers the phone phone I just feel like they think they're better than everybody like I don't feel welcome at that place and And they act like they're better than you and they really don't care if they have your business or not definitely not a great place...

I'll do my best to make this as brief and as accurate as possible: I initially went to get my carry and conceal class and permit; that went very well. I came back to get a specialty part and all the accompanying fingerprint and tax paperwork prep as well. I trusted these guys to get me the right parts for my setup, made several trips and even took notes to make sure I was getting the right part. After about 4 months when I go to pick up the part as I'm gathering my stuff someone in the store pointed out that it wouldn't work with my setup. The person behind the counter seemed surprised, checked and confirmed and then offered to sell me parts that would work. After spending over $1000 and waiting 4 months I was beyond furious to have a non working setup and no recourse for a return or exchange due to the nature of the part. Thankfully I found Guns-n-Ammo in Benton, which is where I should have gone to begin with. I am sure there was no malicious intent; however, I know at Guns n Ammo there aren't going to be "surprises" like this and when something goes wrong they will work to make it right!!! (Thanks to them I have the setup I want!) Overall, it was convenient to get the fingerprinting and the permits done in house but weigh it against the level of customer service satisfaction and attention to detail and I'd rather not use Dav Tac again; too bad they were not willing to try to make it right!

Best of four training classes IΓÇÖve taken in the last twenty years. Instructor was outstanding and up to date with Gun safety and gun knowledge. Would highly recommend this agency for initial training and follow up for the Louisiana Conceal Carry Training permit. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and they took the strain out of the firing portion of the class. My sincere thanks for a job well done!
