I've been a member at DCF since long before it became DCF, as it was previously Whistling Pines. After my membership was transferred to DCF, I began experiencing a plethora of problems. I had to set up my account multiple times with them. There were a number of times when I made a reservation, and they acted like I didn't have one when I came in. The staff are frequently undertrained and mildly unprofessional. The systems on the lanes will randomly stop working. Yesterday morning, I called at about 10:50 and spoke with an individual who set me up with a reservation on the rifle lanes, I showed up and was told the entire place was booked out for some event and they tried to claim I couldn't have made the reservation with them. What a joke. Canceled my membership. Will not be going back.

This is hands down one of the best indoor ranges IΓÇÖve ever visited! Their 100-yard range is a rare find and perfect for zeroing in your rifle. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. From ammo to quick reloads, the prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. I highly recommend supporting this fantastic businessΓÇö10/10 experience!

My husband Joe and I absolutely love DCF West and the OperatorΓÇÖs Lounge. ItΓÇÖs such a unique experience to be able to do everything we love in one spot; shoot, have some cocktails after, and hang out with some amazing people. The staff at DCF has been beyond helpful, we appreciate you, Rick, Andrew and Wes (all the staff are exceptional). We so appreciate everyoneΓÇÖs expertise and have never felt judged on our journey. And, Candice is absolutely amazing at the OperatorΓÇÖs Lounge. We actually found the lounge first and she welcomed us in and introduced us to everyone at DCF, and we quickly became what feels like family. The lounge is such a fun atmosphere and Candice does a wonderful job with hosting different events each week; there is truly something for everyone. You can clearly tell how passionate all the staff are at what they do, and we love our new home away from home.

Best gun store in town! Had the best experience with Wes learing about what gun works best for me! After, we headed up the the lounge and Candice was so fun and inviting that we stayed 2 hours at the lounge! What a cool place to bring friends and family! Forever customers!

The team at DCF West was very helpful in finding a Kimber I had been looking for months to buy. They worked with me on price and made sure it was exactly what I was looking for before I even stepped foot inside the building. Great service, great employees, great facility. They are extremely considerate of my time when I come in and I appreciate their guidance when IΓÇÖm in need of advice.

I have been a member since the start when the club was Whistling Pines. I put up with the bedlam resulting from the purchase by DCF, to include the lack of communication, the changes in membership prices and privileges and the horribly trained staff at DCF. However, this Saturday, I was pushed over the edge by a young and very rude staff member. When I arrived to reserve a lane, she was behind the counter and just ignored me for about 10 minutes and had an attitude when I asked her about confirming my reservation so I could shoot. She responded by telling me I must wait and that she was busy. However, there was no one else at the counter and she and the other staff member just kept there noses in the computer and ignored me. After wandering around the counter for another 5 minutes, she yelled out that I only had one reservation. I said it should be two and she rudely stated it was one. I then began to get upset. It was like she was doing me a big favor and that I was bothering her by asking for a lane in the pistol range. She then told me that 12 and 13 were open. Then she told me that I must let her check all the ammo in my pistols to check for tipped rounds. I then told her she would not be checking my guns or my ammo and that I was shooting regular 9 mm. She then cited some rule I had never heard before about their right to check my ammo. I said no one has ever asked to check my ammo and that she or no one else will ever do so. As a side note, the friend of mine that was meeting me at the range that day was never confronted this way and no one checked his ammo that day or ever. If you are going to have a rule like this, you better damn well communicate to the members that the rule exists and you better enforce the rule on everyone, no exception. This is not the case at DCF. I then took my pistols back to my car and came back into the range to cancel my membership. The rude young lady had disappeared and I told the young man at the counter to get the manager. He went off and then came back and simply said he would get my name and number and they would cancel my membership with a refund. This was just one more example of poor management, supervision and customer service. Then, as I was leaving, the rude young lady staff member yelled from upstairs at the bar and waved and said ΓÇ£Have a nice day,ΓÇ¥ dripping with sarcasm. I have still not heard from anyone at DCF. If I donΓÇÖt hear from someone very soon about my membership refund, DCF will be hearing from my lawyer.

This place is great! The ranges are set up with the best equipment, the classes are great, and there is even a lounge upstairs has some of the best local breweries! It is worth the stop to meet great people and hang out with what can quickly become family! Chill out on the patio upstairs, sit around the fire or cook on the grill! Love this place!

I recently had a suppressor shipped to DCF West, and despite some challenges with Q shipping it to the wrong state, the team at DCF West went above and beyond to make the process smooth. Doug Swords, the manager, was exceptionalΓÇöhe truly put himself in my shoes and did everything he could to resolve any issues. The level of customer service I received was the best I've ever experienced. Initially, I only intended to use DCF West as an FFL for the transfer, but after this experience, IΓÇÖm a lifelong customer. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of FFL services.

DCF Guns West is an excellent 14-yard pistol range. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. This is a great place to go if you want to practice or if you need to purchase firearms, accessories, or ammo.

DCF is the best gun store in town, HANDS DOWN!! Emilia is super friendly and helpful, and I literally watched "Dunkin" move thousands of rounds almost single-handedly so that customers would have inventory to choose from. Incredible work ethic with the staff!!

This place is a scam to non-members. I came in as a walk in and wanted to double check the sighting on my hunting rifle. They told me it was $50 to use the rifle range. That is outrageous! I was polite and I told them that seemed wrong. The last time I came in (which was about a year ago) it was approx $35 and I was able to use both the rifle and hand gun lanes. He said someone last time probably made a mistake checking you in and he maintained that it was correct. I refuse to pay $50 to put 6 rounds on paper and walk out. I went home and double checked their website. The amount on the website says non-member $25. Bad business to non-members or regulars. I'll never go to this gun range again. I'll also tell every gun owner I know about this companies dishonesty.

Dcf West has been awesome to me, it was my first time shooting at this place and they were very awesome and kind to me and my family. I have been coming back and everybody here is really amazing very helpful and has answered all the questions I have asked. ItΓÇÖs a really good place to go if you want to practice your shooting and have fun. A man name Andrew traciak was very helpful to me on choosing the right gun that fit for me he gave me, he gives very good advice so please ask him questions, but besides him, everybody else is very amazing and happy to do their job.

Took the team to DCF West today. The staff is awesome. They went out of their way to accommodate us on somewhat short notice. The range is well maintained, well managed, and the customer service is top notch. I would give them ten stars if I could. (They even had the bar open for us afterwards). I have lived in Colorado Springs a long time and been to almost every range in town; DCF West is, in my humble opinion, the best in this town. My team was so impressed with the facilities and staff they want to make a half day "range day" a quarterly event. Again, kudos to the management and staff at DCF West.

Mr. Ames was absolutely wonderful. He helped me as a newbie very carefully and lead me in the right direction to my first handgun purchase. The price was right on it, and although ive found it cheaper by about $30 somewhere else, it was the color i wanted and he even went above and beyond to help me. In that right alone, i think i got an absolute STEAL on it, and i am forever grateful for his expertise. Definitely a forever customer, and couldnt recommend this place more. Been to magnum, and a few other places in the springs, but DCF is my new range from now on. Exceptional service, really cool folks all around, very clean, organized, informational, and so much more. I dont typically write reviews, but this place deserves it. Forever grateful for this place. Definitely go here for all of your shooting and other gun needs. Amazing work, Mr. Ames.
