Questions & Answers

Q: So until the 1000 electronic range is complete the only other rifle range is 50 yards? I'm hoping to find a 500 to 1500 yard range for my 6.5 Norma

A: That is correct. We have 50 yards open now, and the 1k range will feature distances between 100-1,000 yards and will open June 2018. As of now, there are no other ranges in the area that are open to the public that offer the long range distances that you are looking for. We are thrilled to be able to bring this service to the area.

Great experience, start to finish! My son and I have wanted to drive the 2 hours to Dead Zero ever since it opened. Finally, we made it there back in November of 2024 and again in January 2025. Both trips were great! Living in East Tennessee it can be a challenge to find a place to shoot at longer distances safely. We consider ourselves novices at long distance shooting but really enjoyed the opportunity to stretch our equipment to its maximum capabilities and beyond, lol. The staff in the pro shop are always friendly and helpful. Out on the long range the range officers are great! Because we are just beginners, we have lots of questions and require assistance computing are dope. Rusty is one of the range officers and has been present both visits. He is always helpful and willing to coach us along. Thanks again Rusty you're great!

Phenomenal facility with a phenomenal, professional staff. Paul and Brett were great, highly recommend. Very professional and well-run/safe shooting spaces. 100% worth the cost and will return.

Amazing top notch facility! The electronic targets at the rifle range are a game changer, super easy to use! Rusty was our ranger officer, could not ask for a better guy to help us out on our first, and definitely not last, trip out there, he was super helpful and was willing to do anything to make the experience perfect!

Brought a brand new rifle with a new scope and had some issues attaching the scope and zeroing. The range officer was patient and helped me through the whole process from zeroing at 100, 200, and then 300 (sadly I forgot his name but he was there today in the morning). He understood more about my scope than I did and explained the zeroing, moa, and how the digital targets worked without talking down to me or making me feel unwelcome. The pistol range was more independent but I still had a good time since I brought my older guns that I had experience with. The range wasnΓÇÖt crowded and I was able to move around to whatever type of targets or distances I wanted. If IΓÇÖm ever in the area again IΓÇÖll definitely be visiting again. Edit: one thing that I did feel bad about is that my brass did spit out into the other lane. A mobile separator for these cases would be beneficial.

World class facilities, staff and experience. We have been to many ranges and this one is the most superior by far on all fronts. We will be back and will reccomend to everyone. Special thanks to Scott and the team that hosted us today.

Scott the GM is a good manager of his business and customers. Thank you for handling a potential personality conflict between staff and a customer efficiently, quickly and reasonably. Paul on the rifle range was a great RSO! He set us up, offered help, but then left us alone and allowed us to enjoy a shooting day with friends (who are all experienced, qualified AND safety minded). Paul policed the range in a sensible and safe manner. We will be back when he is working!

Got charged a "membership fee" of over $300 for years and did not know about it until my credit card company flagged it. I thought I was signing up for a one year thing for two people but clearly that wasn't the case! I don't think I even got any email notification from them. I won't be returning to this location I don't even live in the state anymore.

Had a great time at the range. The staff was very professional. This was my first experience at a shooting range. I have used firearms my entire life just never been to a shooting range. The pistol range was very user friendly. Just went to check out the facility and as soon as we got back to the club house bought a year family membership. Will be returning next weekend with my wife and kids. The other patrons were great and everyone was having a good time. Really looking forward to trying out the rifle range. Cannot recommend this place enough.

If you canΓÇÖt shoot sub moa at 1000 yards in strong and unpredictable wind you will be told to leave and never come back. Me and some friends from work started shooting here right around a year ago. We go about once every two months or more if we can. On our first visit, while parking at the rifle range one of the employees started yelling ΓÇ£Move!ΓÇ¥ Repeatedly at us for seemingly no reason. There was no traffic in front or behind us. That was a bad first impression. We could tell through out that day that something wasnΓÇÖt quite right about this employee. On subsequent visits he was not there and we have had quite enjoyable experiences. Today was an enjoyable day getting data on a new rifle slowly working my way out to 1000, asking for approval from the rso every time I moved to the next set of targets. I ended up shooting a 2.8 moa 4 shot group, which is not good but the wind was strong and very inconsistent, when this same employee walks up behind me and tells me that I sent 2 rounds into his target stand and I was destroying his equipment and not to shoot at 1000 until I knew what I was doing. All 4 rounds were accounted for on the target and I am unable to control the wind. He ended up getting into a serious argument with me after me asking him three separate times to please leave me be while I pack my equipment. He ended up cussing me and telling me to leave and never come back. I have spent substantial money in there shop buying knives and accessories, let alone range fees on every visit. So this is what a loyal customer and competent shooter gets told when the wind is blowing. God forbid you have any inconsistency with your ammo. So I unfortunately will not be shooting here anymore due to this employeeΓÇÖs disrespectful and rude behavior. Attached is a picture of the only four rounds that I fired at 1000 before I was told to stop destroying there equipment and leave. ETA: YouΓÇÖre response makes no sense. I was on target. Your employee had a meltdown for literally no reason. Might want to get both sides of the story before you stick up for the offending party.

This place is top notch! We traveled over 3 hours and were not disappointed. Super clean facility, as well as friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE staff. Paul was so kind and helpful. As was the younger tall man who was a Marine(sorry I forgot your name. Lol). Paul was happy to give myself, my dad, and brothers tips and tricks to make the most of our trip, as well as improve as shooters. I definitely have a lot to learn about wind reading on the fly and reacting quicker to changing conditions, but not awful for my second outings past 300yds in my opinion. All of this combined to make the best day I have had shooting since I shot for the very first time as a kid. I look forward to our next trip.

IΓÇÖve been to dead zero countless times over the course of 3 years. IΓÇÖve met every range master they have. Unfortunately I have to say thereΓÇÖs one I donΓÇÖt care for. I wonΓÇÖt say his name because I care about the company and I donΓÇÖt want to lose them business. But I will say this, Russel, is probably the single best range master IΓÇÖve ever met. IΓÇÖm a medically retired army ranger. Was in ranger reconnaissance company. Served 37 months over seas behind long range weapons. IΓÇÖve never met a better man to back me. I brought my brand new 50 this last Saturday and he got me zeroed at 800 in 12 rounds. Beyond that 1000 in 3. You got the best at dead zero.

Scott the manager was great to work with. We brought a youth group of 33 boys and 10 adults from St. Louis Missouri. He was patient and willing to help. His staff was really good and were eager to help the boys where they could. Their rules and guidelines were spelled out perfectly where there was no misinterpreting, keeping a safe and fun environment. Thank you so much!

This place is unbelievable. Very professional very nice people they have working there. The RSO was knowledgeable and help me and my son with our first long range experience. CanΓÇÖt say enough about the convenience of the electronic targets. You can shoot both steel or electronic choice is yours. They have a nice pro shop also with tons of ammo and reloading supplies. Cannot go wrong with this place. The ride is beautiful as well.

Great facility! I used the rifle range which goes out to 1,000 yards. Both steel and electronic targets. Pro shop is well stocked and the staff, particularly the RSOs, are the best!

Okay experience for a nice range. Not sure why the ROs are so against red dot optics or budget firearms. I canΓÇÖt afford much but was hoping for a better experience than what I got. DonΓÇÖt go if your firearm isnΓÇÖt already zeroed.

Our first time to a shooting range and I was a bit nervous, but the staff were so accommodating and helpful and everything felt safe and structured. We had a great time! Especially a huge thanks to range manager James for helping us out at the shooting range.

The facilities were nice and clean. The staff I encountered (one gentleman) was polite, friendly, and helpful. I only used the pistol range and found it to be nice and the steel targets were great. I only give the low star rating because of the rules, no drawing from the holster and no rapid fire. These rules make the range useless for any training. It is great for sighting in an optic but that is about it. Who shoots a plate rack at one second per shot? How can you practice transition to targets at that pace? I used to be an instructor, shot in competitions, and owned my own range, this range is for beginners only. I was shooting in a bay by myself and sighting in a new optic. After shooting in competitions, slow shooting, standing in one place is boring. I have shot at other ranges that have these rules for beginners and have qualified other members for more advanced rules. The facilities are set up for meaningful training, but the rules forbid it.

What a wonderful day I had here. The staff is on point and helpful. Safety is always priority here. The shooting ranges are great with a combination of metal and paper targets. The rifle range is awesome. IΓÇÖll definitely be back to practice here again.

Great shooting spot. Friends and I drove from Georgia to shoot here and we had an absolute blast. Russell was spotting/coaching us the entire time since it was our first time shooting out to 1k yards. Absolutely some of the best advice/mentoring IΓÇÖve had since I started PRS. Highly recommend for any who is starting precision rifle matches or wants to hone in on technical data and understand more than just shooting the rifle.

First off me giving 5 stars started from the phone call over to get information. Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. Upon arrival I was impressed with the clubhouse and pro shop inside. The outdoor range itself is HUGE!! After watching safety video I proceeded to the long range. Rus was awesome. He myself and everyone else tremendously to accomplish my goals. Eventually shot out to 600 yds. Very helpful and informative. Even other shooters offered advice amongst us. Before leaving I took advantage of shooting at steel targets with pistols and rifles. Expect a full range day if you come visit.

Excellent facility with two sporting clay courses. Both are set up nicely on their beautiful land! Some stands are covered to shield you from the weather. Golf carts are good but you have to hold your gun while driving. Picnic tables and nice lounge area to enjoy when finished. Definitely worth the drive!

Top notch range! Well worth the 4+ hour drive from Paducah, KY. Range Officer Randall made the day! His knowledge, shooting experience and personality was very helpful! He had me shooting the 1,000 yards before day was over. Even a member of the 1,000 Yard Club now! Thanks so much!!! Will be back with more friends!
