Questions & Answers

Q: Can I bring my Maurader High Power Air gun?

A: Sure can.

- Lance Brettin (2 years ago)

Q: Does Deep South Defense do any repair work? I've got a PK-47 that might have a spring broken or too worn to recharge the bolt. It's not properly ejecting and reseating the next round upon firing.

A: Yes they do. I had a Smith & Wesson 380 Bodyguard upgraded there at the old location. I am sure they still do repairs and modifications.

Took a Ruger American to get a recoil pad installed and ground to fit. The work was poor; the magazine put back into the rifle was the wrong oneΓÇöit's for a different caliber, and the ammunition does not fit into the box magazine. The rifle had the correct magazine when it was dropped off for repairs; it's a 7mm-08. The magazine they put back in is for something else, perhaps .223, I'm not sure. It was bad enough that the work was lousy, but giving me the wrong box magazine back was a waste of time and money going there for repairs. I tossed the gunstock and put another one on from Ruger and purchased a new magazine. It's obvious this is their first recoil pad installation; it appears that way from observation of the work performed.

My friends and I are on exchange in clemson and we were looking for a place to get some shooting experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the store has so many firearms that you can rent or buy. A truly nice selection of firearms to choose from. We then hit the range, my friend and I do not have any experience with guns and firearms so the staff took a lot of time to throughly explain everything to make sure we were safe and having fun. Overall a great experience!

Gun's seem a little higher priced here but I would expect that from such a nice new store with a gun range inside. I do like to stop in and check out their collection but normally buy my guns from PSA. They do keep some nice guns in stock and will do trades if you're tired of that one gun you have sitting on a shelf for year's. Just seemed a little bit out of my price range tbh...

DSD is a great gun store with very knowledgeable staff that are passionate about their jobs and what they sale. They also have a top tier cwp course and great indoor range. I've been going to them for years now, and the main gun store I recommend to people.

It was our first time in a shooting range and it was excellent. The reception was excellent. Mike M welcomed us warmly and he explained everything to us clearly, with the gestures to have. He came to see if everything was going well regularly and answered all our questions. We will come back to try a bigger caliber. Thanks to all the staff

Thank you Kimberly. I appreciate all the help with the fingerprinting. I love that they offer free range time to females and she was so helpful to the older crowd looking to learn about self defence. You guys are doing great. Godbless

I love their range, the staff, and selection of guns/ammo! The prices on range time and ammo are very reasonable, the electronic forms are super convenient. Helpful and knowledgeable staff who will help you find exactly what you need, or put you onto the right person/resource that can. There are tons of accessories/"custom" aftermarket parts for Sigs and Glocks, tons of optics, some knives, clothing/gear, small business/local supporters (Dreadnought Holsters are awesome!), and some sweet class 3 NFA items! I cannot say enough good things about this placeΓÇöthey even have clean bathrooms!

Nice little shop that had a pretty good selection of items, AR parts, pistol mags and parts (Sig, Glock, S&W, all the big brands), holsters, lights, some optics and rds, etc.. The range isnt huge, 10 lanes x 25 yds, but is very nice and maintained well. I forget his name, but the older gentlemen that ran the range was super helpful (lent me a tool for adjusting my front sight post, and gave me the rundown on the range / shop offerings). I will DEFINITELY be back, since it's closer for me than Greenville. Range price was decent, compared to elsewhere. Target and rental prices were competitive also. All in all I would definitely recommend. Ladies range fee is free on (I think they said) Weds.

Great place to get started & practice. The people who work there are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, experienced and are more then willing to help. I have been taking private lessons with Mike and now the CWP class. Mike is so calm and puts you at ease. I highly reccomd DSD. There is a female member on the team and she is fantastic and wil answer any questions and will help you to started. This range allows Ladies to shoot free on Wednesdays. Thank you to everyone who works there. Ya'll are outstanding.

Purchased a weapon(rifle) with a scope, new grip, and ammunition(1000 rounds). Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE SUCKED! I live 1 1/2 hours away. First, seems their system for approving purchase was down so had to return to pick up my new weapon. Second, brought it home and was ready to zero the weapon and scope, and weapon failed to automatically place next cartridge in chamber, so had to do it manually. On third attempt, cartridge partially jammed. Thus, third trip to have cartridge removed and weapon repaired. Was told by manager that buffer/ spring problem and they would repair at no charge. Fourth trip to pick up weapon after repair- charging me $35.00 for repair!! Armorer said he doesnΓÇÖt work for free and if I wanted it to be warranty, I should have sent it back to manufacturer. And armorer used my ammunition to test after repair so they didnΓÇÖt have to charge me for ammunition. Finally, to pick up weapon on both occasions, was supposed to have been called when ready, but I had to initiate the call to determine if ready both times. Will NOT be returning for any reason.
