Questions & Answers

Q: Is the Range open? And how come you guys never answer the phone?

A: It doesn't matter when you call, never answer.

- Sherrie Waldo (4 years ago)

A: IΓÇÖve called the store a bunch of times throughout the years at all hours of operation and I really canΓÇÖt remember the phone not being answered.

- Mike Kim (10 months ago)

Q: Can you take the class to get the act 235 there?

A: They have an instructor and the classes to get your act 235. The website show all the classes

- Randall Woods (5 years ago)

Q: They never answer the phone and when they do always give different info on ladies night and classes. I went in and the man wasnΓÇÖt to pleasant & tried to make us take classes and then said they was short staffed. Not a good feeling

A: I've always called and was persistent in calling until someone answered because I'd rather call and get info than to show up and be turned away in these trying times I say keep calling until someone pick up and make sure you get clarification

- Lex Luther (4 years ago)

A: They answered when I called...

- KA WAI AU (6 years ago)

A: Just about everthing you could want to shoot. Anthony and everyone else is very helpful.

- Dawn Karlin (6 years ago)

A: Thank you for your help Dawn

- vito labracio (6 years ago)

Q: I read that you don't allow steel-core ammunition to be fired at your range, but what about steel-casing? Asking for a friend...

A: Steel cartridge cases are not a problem. Steel cores will reduce the lifespan of the backstop.

- John Snover (4 years ago)

A: The case is not the issue but the projectile itself. In a indoor gun range gun powder is in the air and can collect in pockets down range. A green tip or any other steel incased bullet will make sparks that could make the whole building explode. Thats why they kick you in the balls when you bring in that kind of Ammo

- Appollos Creed (7 years ago)

A: yes, to steel casing.

- Dawn Karlin (7 years ago)

A: Im in agreement.

- Randy Sharpe (7 years ago)

A: Went in person and asked and they were okay with it. They had Tula on the shelf and I pointed it out. The person's reply was, "It's your gun. You can do whatever you want to it."

- Jr Flynn (7 years ago)

Q: How much to hand guns range $

A: It depends on the brand and type. They usually have a large selection to choose from. I would definitely go in and check them out.

- Cal T (7 years ago)

Q: How much $ to practice, before buy proper hand gun

A: That's a question only you've can answer. I was training at the range Mon-Sat (off sunday) & it started to get costly but now at 25 yard with my handgun I'm confident to shoot at a 5inch target. But again that's time & money so it depends on what your goal is.. to just get a feel for a "glock" or a "1911" or "revolver" then I agree with Neal on going renting & handeling the gun your most interested in then take it from there. I also highly recommend the 30 4 30 class they do on basic gun knowledge, functions of the gun, and loading and shooting. When you find the gun you like then spend the $20 day pass range fee and go shoot a box of 100 & see what you like & don't like THEN make ur decesion of what to buy. Too many people just read stuff online & hear what people tell them & believe it to be true & yes it may or may not be but the only way you'll know is by shooting it. I say when it comes to choosing YOUR gun. It's like picking your nose. Don't let anyone else pick it 4 you! -Yim K

- xPHENCYCLiiDiNEx (6 years ago)

A: Just go in and talk to a sales rep and ask to try out a few weapons before you make the final purchase. There maybe a $20 range fee and the cost of ammo, but nothing major.

- Neal Lewis (7 years ago)

Q: Can I bring my 10-year-old daughter with me obviously supervised by myself. Can she participate?

A: If she knows proper gun safety

I used to be a member before I moved away, I just went in again after 2 years or so and everyone in there is always very nice and helpful. Some of the prices are high but I would still recommend this place anytime I am asked.

Really unfriendly for first visit. NOT family friendly. Older man with grey hair was the most unwelcoming person IΓÇÖve met in a long time, going to spend my money at another gun range.

TL;DR: great customer service. Long review ahead: I had never fired a gun before when I went here. I'm respectfully hesitant in regard to guns. Before arriving here, I listened and practiced gun safety at home under the supervision of someone who safely handles guns. It's a practical skill to learn, so I want to actually practice. But so far, I had only 'textbook' experience. I arrived here with another person and was nervous. I'd never fired a gun before and I was worried I'd hurt someone or myself. Maybe I was too nervous about it. We pay to get in the range, we put our protective ear coverings on, and we go inside. I got even more nervous. Once inside, it's *loud*. I knew it would be. But even through the ear plugs and muffs, it's *loud*. One of the others inside the range must have been firing high-ish caliber ammo, because it's really *loud* and it's indoors, so each shot is like thunder. I flinch with every shot, like, a full-body jump. Every shot. I got overwhelmed. After being inside the range for five minutes, I walked back out. Never even got to load the gun. The person I came in with handled checking out/returning gear. Me, I stood off to the side, shaking and quietly crying from how overwhelmed I was from the noise, and how stupid and silly I felt for not even being able to fire a single shot. One of the men behind the counter noticed me crying, an older guy. Gently calls me over and tells me it's okay. That it's okay to be scared and overwhelmed, that I wasn't silly or stupid. He talks to me in nice, low, calm tones. I was still crying a bit, but I felt better. The other men from behind the counter chime in and reassure me, too, that firing a gun was scary to some and that I'm not the only person that's felt this way. I give this place 5 stars for this. Granted, the process of actually checking in was very straightforward and easy, so on a technical level, 5 stars is appropriate. But the 5 stars from me is mainly because of how kind and understanding the people working there were to me. I was in the range just 5 minutes, and was too chicken to fire even a simple 9mm. But the men working there were so kind. It really meant a lot to me. So thank you for that experience. This actually happened a couple years ago, I had hesitated to write a review because of how silly I still feel about this story. I'm still a bit too yellow-bellied to fire in an indoor range. But their reassurance is extremely appreciated. I still think about this experience to this day.

As a newbie, walking into a gun shop was a bit intimidating. But The staff here helped me quickly overcome any doubts I had as they were incredibly friendly and informative. So much so that I decided to take a pistol course with Bob here at DVGC. Again, Bob super informative and couldnΓÇÖt be nicer.

The folks here are super nice.. a few weeks ago they helped me ship a g** to a manufacturer and we're extremely communicative and fairly priced. Today I took my daughter for her first ever range trip.. the guys were extremely nice and accommodating. Also the range was clean, spacious and empty! I've been to several indoor ranges in the area but this will be my new go-to..
