Dewey Shooting Range
Q: Do you guys have shotguns for me to rent when I get there and use them for skeet shooting?
A: The range does not rent guns or sell ammo. You have to bring your own. Also, they don't have a skeet, or trap range available.

Excellent facility, helpful staff, and respectful shooters. Can get busy on weekends closer to gun deer season, but thereΓÇÖs plenty of room to spread out.

No "rapid fire", you can't have more than 5 rounds in your rifle magazine, no fully automatic firearms allowed at this range and it's only staffed several months out of the year. The Wood County range is free and doesn't have ANY of the Dewey range restrictions or staffing issues.

Great place to bring the family/kids out or just grab some buddies and enjoy throwing some ammo down range. Been going here since I was a kid sighting in my deer rifle. Safe feeling when your there and I Don't mind paying the fees to have such a nice peaceful place to go shoot. The new handgun and archery range is a wonderful new twist. P.s. there is going to be a gate at the end of the road , don't park there unless you want a nice long walk to the range itself, keep driving till you reach another parking area . I've seen way to many people think the first gate/parking area is for the range, which that setup can be decieveing , Good luck, be safe, shoot straight,and have fun!! :)

I just stopped by today for the first time, and the attendant was really welcoming and helpful, the multiple ranges were very well maintained and safe, all shooters nearby were very safety conscious. I would go during the week if there were longer hours to allow 9 to 5ers to come. No matter what-Thanks for the great experience.

The range is fine when you can go. Very limited hours. There is a fee for adults. A season pass is $30.

Attended by range master. Targets, and earplugs available. Range fee for adults. Very limited days and hours of service. No entry when closed
