The staff was very kind, helpful, welcoming, and very safe. I appreciate that they call cease fire, make sure everyone is off the line and stays off the line while anyone is down range to ensure nobody is anywhere near their firearms. This makes it a much safer environment for everyone and it was very appreciated.

I only leave reviews when a business leaves a significant impression on me and Dietz has absolutely done that. The range was very well set up and well maintained. The staff was incredibly polite and professional. I appreciate the difficult job range officers have to do, riding the line between guest services and life safety, and these guys do an incredible job of creating a welcoming environment both for experienced shooters and novice shooters. I can't wait to go back!

Great place to shoot. Very friendly. Have targets and other shooting supplies on hand in the store. Pistol, rifle, and shotgun. 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard slots. Something like 20 rifle bays. Bays are covered and somewhat sheltered. Was there while it was raining and had some water coming through roof in areas as well as some busted up concrete around the shooting benches. Had to move some of my gear to keep the water off of it. Overall it was pretty good. They give you two targets when you pay for the day. It was only $20 to shoot all day. ItΓÇÖs really nice for testing out new bullets for rifles, not on a time clock.

My new go to spot. One of the range safeties helped me out when I was having some issues zeroing. Identified the issue in a couple minutes. Turns out I didnΓÇÖt put my hand rail on quite straight after cleaning it lol. ItΓÇÖs nice and laid back but very safe. Truly the best of both worlds for a range.

Love this range. Pistol, rifle, shotgun, skeet. All while being very slow paced and calm. An old school range where you can sling some lead downrange at a great price, charges by the shooter not by the gun.

Damn good range. Ignore the bad reviews. They have a pistol range, and a rifle range. Rifle has 25 yard, 50 yard, 100 yard and 200 yard targets. Very kind RSOΓÇÖs who I saw helping a newbie sight in a scope. Would come back.

No steel allowed.. one shot per second and the place is pretty unwelcoming. Guy inside was wearing a badge on his hip for some reason. Yikes. Don't bother.

Dietz Gun Shop & Range Inc. New Braunfels, Texas Review Sunday - August 18, 2024 My wife and I have been utilizing Dietz Range Facilities for over 30 years. They have been very friendly and helpful when you have question. A good safe gun range to visit. But lately, attitudes have changed. Have shown an arrogant untrustworthy behavior. Demanding to see IDs, sending someone out to watch you shoot and to see what guns you have. It's not a safe, comfortable, trusting place to go anymore.

First time at Dietz gun range and the experience was awesome!! Rudy was great, he got me checked in and answered all my questions, then sent me out to the range, where I met Bob, the range safety officer. He explained the rules, helped me set up the target, and once everyone was ready he announced "range is hot" and we began shooting. If you're looking for a place to squeeze off a few rounds, I highly recommend Dietz. Friendly and helpful staff, laid back atmosphere and a decent price. Already planning my next visit!!

IΓÇÖve visited the range for my ninth time now, more than likely wonΓÇÖt be a 10th time unless IΓÇÖm zeroing an optic on a new firearm. I understand that there are strict rules in place to decrease the chances of an accident happening under all the RSOΓÇÖs supervision. This is coming from a former pistol instructor/range master out in Quantico, Virginia as well as Camp Lejeune, North Carolina with my fellow crayon eaters. When it comes to this locationΓÇÖs pistol range, the obese, late-adult aged man whoΓÇÖs the RSO in that area, seems to have quite a staring problem. Now I know what youΓÇÖre thinking why not confront them or ask them if thereΓÇÖs a problem. You have to understand most of the staff are old heads with military experience as well, with that, I would be running the risk of them, ruining my range time and training by them simply demanding to leave since they technically have that power granted to them. Second issue with that same poor excuse of an RSO, he doesnΓÇÖt explain what exactly is a double tap(how many seconds in between shots). I always keep my shots no less than a second to a second and a half considering I paid $1100 on a CZ shadow 2 and I know quite well I wonΓÇÖt disrespect that beast by shooting once, going to the low ready, bringing the weapon up, then shooting again. All he has to hear is two shots to which he will then justify in his acorn sized brain whether it was a burst or two separate shots. As far as the rifle range is concerned, IΓÇÖve never had a problem as far as safety issues or arrogant RSOΓÇÖs are concerned. I will say that it would be smarter for Bruce to stop talking about how many full-auto transferable weapons he has, along with other illegal NFA items in public. In conclusion, itΓÇÖs a good place to sight in your pieces and maybe even skeet shoot a little bit. But beware that you will, in fact, get judged drastically by a couple old heads(along with old head shooters) on how you shoot, what youΓÇÖre running, and what youΓÇÖre wearing.

Took my dad to this range. Went to go shooting like old times. HavenΓÇÖt shot with him since I was a kid. go to the range start up with at the pistol range The guy at the pistol range was rude and mystic me for a kid IΓÇÖm 24 years old. Fine, whatever people do it all the time. But the pistol range Master Was rude My dad told him he was going To check his target We were the only ones there Only shooting one pistol He was too busy looking at the rifle range and had His earphones in did not Even hear us Then had the audacity To Say he didnΓÇÖt hear it When he wasnΓÇÖt paying attention. But then me and my dad went to the rifle range. I was shooting a shotgun he Was shooting a 22 They set us up on range side-by-side We started shooting When the cease-fire was called The range master with a stupid cigar in his mouth Came over to me And Yelled no shotguns on his range, and said that I would have to go up to the end of the range. HeΓÇÖs the one that set us up on the range It was clear that it was a shotgun that I was shooting Do not go to this range They are Rude Jerks and they do not care

I drive from south side San Antonio just to come to this range every time I need target practice or when I need to sight in a rifle. Great price to shoot all day with however much you want to bring to shoot. Friendly, strict, but forgiving Range masters. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Rude gun Marshall. Looks for any reason to get after customers. Then sits there and brags and laughs about it with his buddies. Fortunately for me I only witnessed it. He didn't do it to me.. what a jerk.

Just what we needed. ItΓÇÖs not fancy but itΓÇÖs well run, reasonable in price, and gets you on the range. It was nice to be outside shooting and not trapped in an indoor setting. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Will go again.

I use Dietz to zero all my firearms. The pistol range is great for zeroing a red dot and they have a 100 & 200 yard target range for rifles. The RSOΓÇÖs will yell if you conduct yourself in an unsafe manner, but they donΓÇÖt want anyone to pink mist themselves or someone else so itΓÇÖs completely understandable. I mean, theyΓÇÖre not going to hit you so chill, enjoy yourself, and follow the d@mn rules. ItΓÇÖs not that difficult. And the RSOΓÇÖs have a wealth of knowledge so build a rapport with them and theyΓÇÖll help you with just about anything.

Great Public Range. Nothing fancy but good value. They have all the typical public range restrictions like "no rapid fire" and whatnot but the staff were friendly and helpful. I was the only one left that afternoon (45 min to close) and the RSO helped me get my rifle on paper while sighting it in. I read some other reviews where people complained about the staff. I do not doubt they had a bad experience; however, they were fine for me. I am visiting from out of town, and will do business with them again if I return. FYI They have a 200yd range
