Questions & Answers

Q: Are you only allowed to use brass case ammo or can you use steel case as well?

A: There are no restrictions that I am aware of... however, due to safety concerns, reloads are generally frowned upon...

- Randy S. Starr (3 years ago)

A: Thank you randy for the info.. God bless

- adrian damian (3 years ago)

Q: For a basic hand gun, are prices pretty reasonable?

A: For the same price B.P.S. wanted for a standard Glock 17 Gen 5, Discount Firearms had the MOS FS version for the same price. In my opinion they are reasonable.

- Charles Inglehart (6 years ago)

A: No, about 10-25% higher

- Firooz Hatefi (6 years ago)

A: Yes, all ranges. Come in and shop around.

- Discount Firearms & Ammo (2 years ago)

A: I got a Taurus 627 Tracker for $499.99. The best online price was $529.99.

- Paul Weiss (2 years ago)

A: Prices are reasonable......until they aren't.

- Mark H (4 years ago)

Q: Can i bring in my own Ann and firearm for a test run.

A: I take my firearm and ammo. I just buy targets. They charged me $15 for a lane, unlimited time. Probably the only place in town that really caters to locals.

- Kevin Hugins (6 years ago)

A: Ann is permitted in the store. Just don't let her shoot again, if this is the Ann I'm thinking of.

- Mark H (4 years ago)

A: Dustin has clearly never been there, because his answer is absolutely false. Bring your own everything, just pay for the range.

- R Starr (5 years ago)

A: Yes. Place is awesome and affordable.

- Mike Evans (6 years ago)

A: I have drought my own ammo before, just make sure that no steel bullets... Good clean ammo..

- Nate DomRepLV (Nate) (6 years ago)

Q: Hi how are u guys..just wanna ask if u guys selling m&p 15 and m&p22lr and how much?

A: I'd call. This new question feature is not for customers who have left ratings. It'll be unlikely any of us will know about specific stock of ammo unless we just bought some. I'm not sure, but they have great prices and selection

- M (7 years ago)

A: Call is the best idea. Posting prices in these reviews could get sticky. These things stay up for years, prices can change daily.

- Sheena K (7 years ago)

A: I am qualified to answer the first part. I'm fine.

- Mark H (4 years ago)

A: Best prices around

- Nikki ΓÇ£NikkiΓÇ¥ Collins (7 years ago)

A: Dunno, but best place to go.

- Marty Winger (7 years ago)

Q: (Translated by Google) Does it have the handles of a baby browning .25? those made of wood or plastic. whatever they are... (Original) tiene las cachas de una baby browning .25? las de madera o de plástico. las que sean..

A: Take a picture of what you have or the weapon in for examination. If you see a stock picture online, then take that.

- Mark H (4 years ago)

Q: Do they stock Left Hand Leather Bianchi & Galco Belt / Paddle Holsters?

A: With or without thumb snaps?

- Mark H (4 years ago)

Q: (Translated by Google) I would like to know if you have magazines for a CZ, 85 9mm pistol? (Original) Kiciera saber si tienes cargadores para pistola CZ, 85 9mm?

A: Just what you see, pal

- Mark H (4 years ago)

Q: Can we bring our own target

A: yes you can

- Discount Firearms & Ammo (a year ago)

A: Yes

- S. Fitzgerald (a year ago)

Q: What are your cheapest semiautomatic handguns? I want to buy a starter pistol. Mostly for home defense.

A: Well, first off... No such thing as a "cheap" semiautomatic handgun, at least nothing that I would carry... For a starter, I'd recommend either Glock 19 (9mm), or a Glock 21 (45ACP)... Glocks are good pistols, and a new one, if you can find them, go for about $550 - $600... my personal and duty sidearm is a Beretta 92FS (9mm), also known as it's military designation M9. U ordered it on line, and shelled out around $800, by the time all was said and done. That includes taxes, transfer fees, shipping costs, receiving dealer's fees, and background check... good luck...

- Randy S. Starr (3 years ago)

A: I got my S&W here and I have to say it's a great little 9mm for a woman. Love it

- Debra Marshall (3 years ago)

A: Going in asking for a "cheap" handgun is actually a red flag for the gunshop so go in and tell them what you want to spend and they will show you what is in stock or recommend something that fits your needs that you'll have to buy elsewhere. Discount has a really good selection so I'm sure you'll find something but if not you can find many legit online sources like GunBroker.com. I've purchased like, 5 or 6 off GunBroker with no problems, just be sure to know what FFL you wish to have it sent to. I'm 99% sure DF&A accepts transfers but I don't know what their fees are. It's usually $25 for the background check (get your CCW and you'll not have to go through the NICS system) and I know Briarhawk on Sahara only charges $20 for an FFL transfer. Range 702 does in person P2P sales and the total was something like $75 for BGC and Transfer. As for a recommendation on the firearm itself I love my Kriss Sphinx SDP and I bought her on GunBroket for just shy of $700 about a year or so ago.

- M. Flash (3 years ago)

A: Thank you for the info. The price range you stated are very reasonable prices. Thank you for the estimate.

- Mr. Brainger 2077 (3 years ago)

Q: IΓÇÖm a first time buyer , I want a concealed hand gun for every day Carry What do I need to do? Thank you

A: Call them and ask is your first step.

Very unprofessional and rude. Prices are extremely expensive. Workers are racist and try to act like theyΓÇÖre are the police

Great shop, staff is very kind. Shooting range gets the job done. Jesse helped me pick out a new EDC and was incredibly enthusiastic and patient. Ended up making a great purchase with his insight. Went a couple days later to shoot a few of my firearms and got a discount to use the range since I bought a weapon there earlier that week. I ended up having some issues with my AR9 and Chris was super informative and helpful giving me insight into what the issue could be. He took the time to inspect a couple things as well. He also sighted in my red dot for me on the piece I picked up earlier that week. Will definitely be back and recommend this store to anyone looking for anything firearm related.

Unprofessional and Unreliable ΓÇô A Complete Waste of Time I have given this establishment multiple chances, but their consistent lack of professionalism and competence has made it clear I will not be returning. 1. During my first visit to use the range, they closed early at 4 PM without prior notice. 2. On my second visit, I went to sell a firearm and was informed they didnΓÇÖt have a single employee capable of appraising it. 3. Today, I returned to sell a Taurus Judge after confirming a rough quote of $200 over the phone. What followed was outright unprofessionalism. The employee handling the transaction seemed dismissive, repeating ΓÇ£Taurus Judge?ΓÇ¥ multiple times in a tone that suggested they were above buying or trading firearms. Instead of providing an informed appraisal, they wandered the shelves with my firearm in hand, compared it to what they thought was a similar gun, and arbitrarily claimed they donΓÇÖt sell those models for over $200. Suspiciously, they never showed me a price tag or any evidence to support their claim. This experience was baffling, and combined with their poor attitudes and lack of transparency, I find this business completely untrustworthy. With so many better options in Las Vegas and Henderson, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Even SportsmanΓÇÖs Warehouse offers better prices on ammo, and other local shops demonstrate far superior professionalism. After three strikes, this establishment has lost my business for good. Oh and they deleted my first review - classy.

I enjoy the firing range. I spend 13 bucks for an hour and 2 targets for practice. An I noticed my sights on my pistol was off. I talked to the gunsmith after I was done shooting and told him I noticed my gun was off and if he could check it out. An aligned it back. I recommend. They have plenty of weapons to pick from.

My first and favorite stop for all things firearms. The staff is amazing; they are helpful, friendly and insanely knowledgeable. IΓÇÖve used the range, gunsmith, and done transfers via their sales counter and I have yet to have an experience that is less than five stars. Great selection, fun and affordable range, and great people.

Anyone who needs to get their firearm inspected either for professional use or personal. Do not come here, the company I work for sends its guys here for firearm inspections and they fail almost everyone. I thought that was a bit suspicious, so I went to someone else for a second opinion and passed. I don't know what kind of machine they're using or if its properly calibrated, but people keep telling me not to go to discount firearm. Plus, the customer service is horrible, no one is paying attention to customers and when you do finally get someone's attention, they act like they're doing you the world's biggest favor and speak to you and customers over the phone in a condescending tone. That along with unreasonable prices makes discount firearm the worst place to go. EDIT 2025. Thought I would give these guys another shot and I'm glad I did, the staff is friendly now and super informative. Classes are reasonably priced with instructors who care. Only gripe these days is their range, the hours are a bit unreliable.

I love Discount Firearms period. One of the few LGS in town that really has the best service. Occasionally some pretty good deals but what I think is most important is the customer service and I have always had a good experience. The range is pretty good (need to fix some of the control pads) and can get a little busy sometimes, but I find it meets my needs perfectly.

I highly recommended Discount Firearms to anyone living in, or visiting the Las Vegas area. My experience with the recent purchase of my handgun was excellent. They have a great selection of firearms and accessories to choose from and their non commissioned sales people provide a non high pressured sales experience. Not to mention the customer service is truly amazing. The entire staff is polite and extremely helpful. This place is your one stop shopping experience. If you're looking to purchase a firearm, firearm accessories, ammunition, or looking for gunsmith services, or to get some shooting practice on their top notch indoor range, attend a ccw class, or even experience shooting a machine gun, then Discount Firearms is your place. Stop by and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

We needed a part for Shot Show and Chris hooked us up. He pulled a part from his own gun to give to us for free. They were so nice to us. Thank you! They also had a bunch of cool guns in inventory. Check them out.

The staff here are friendly and very knowledgeable. We will be returning to have our firearms customized and obviously for the range. Definitely recommended
