I went in not knowing much about a decent rifle optic. They sold me an Sig Tango MSR it was priced at 499.99. Guy said heΓÇÖd knock it down to 450 I thought cool not a bad deal. Turns out this optic actual MSRP is like 369.99. My fault for not looking it up on the spot, but be cautious with their ΓÇ£discountΓÇ¥ prices.

Went in today for a holster for a 1911. The associates there took the time to show me a holster as well as talk to me about specifics. Much appreciated and definitely a nice first impression. Will come here more often!

This store stands out from most other gun stores; their staff arenΓÇÖt a bunch jerks. Prices are a bit higher, but IΓÇÖm okay with it because these guys will actually help you and answer questions without being rude.

I didn't catch their names but the two guys working here earlier today were awesome. Going in, I just had a general idea of what I was looking for but wasn't tied down to any particular model. These guys stepped in and went above and beyond. They offered personal insight, information and tips, and were transparent about the pros and cons of each model. Never once felt like they were pushy or trying to upsell. Super satisfied with my purchase and thankful for the great customer service provided here.

Being from the UK I don't have much experience with guns. We went with our friend who whilst from USA, also doesn't have much experience with firearms. The staff there were so friendly getting us set up on the range and showing how to safely use the firearms.

TL;DR - Gunsmith broke my gun (pics below), I paid for repair and installed new trigger myself. A few months back, I brought my FN 509T in with a new trigger I wanted to have installed, the 'gunsmith' told me that while these are a bit more difficult, they told me they've done at least 5 other ones successfully. I get a call the following week informing me they were unable to get the infamous 'trouble' pin out. FN has a very particular way in which the pins should be removed (RIGHT TO LEFT ONLY) I went to pick up my 509 and saw that the pin had been bashed so hard it was now mushroomed out on BOTH sides indicating they tried to incorrectly remove it, and possibly caused the pin to lock up, and risked cracking the frame. My only option at this point was to send the 509 in to FN for repair. I had to pay $160.00 to replace the frame that discount had ruined. Luckily scheels didn't charge me to send it out, or to run a background check when I picked it up (since the only repair was to replace the entire frame). I bought a specialty tool from the trigger manufacturer (Apex Tactical) and installed the trigger myself in under 30 mins with ZERO issues. This took MONTHS because I decided to trust the 'gunsmith' at Discount. He knew he had damaged the weapon to the point where I would have no other option but to send it in for repair, and had the audacity to tell me "Yeah, we won't charge you since we weren't able to get it done for ya." Gee, thanks.

I came here to pick up my first handgun and it turned out to be a great experience not just from the selection of guns but to the help of the staff everyone in there has been extremely nice and helpful they are all very knowledgeable I absolutely recommend coming in and if they don't have something at hand they have been pretty good at helping me order what I want and they can install it for you as well! The owner Norman, Josh, Andrew, and Kai are the people to come and talk to. If you have any questions, they are awesome people!

No complaints at all, I love how friendly the staff is and super informative about any questions that may arise. I went two weekends in a row already and plan many more, my first purchase was a IWB holster and some ammunition for a handgun I had just purchased from a different shop. Someone there invited my friend and I to test out their range but we left and showed back up that same day. It was a great experience overall and the older gentleman was super friendly and nice, even cracking jokes with us, which helped ease our nervousness for our first time shooting at a range! Then our second time shooting at the range we decided to rent two rifles which was surprisingly pretty cheap, I paid about $100 for rental fees 2x $25 per gun and ammo 2x 20 round cases of 5.56 and a 50 round case of 9mm, I canΓÇÖt wait to go again next Saturday!

CALLING ALL WOMEN: Andrew was AMAZING!!! He helped me find a gun cleaning kit for a new purchase I did somewhere else. I regret not coming here to purchase my gun. He was very informative and he took the time to actually show me how to clean the gun. This place and women are lucky he works there. IF YOUR A WOMEN THIS PLACE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND IT FELT AMAZING TO ACTUALLY BE HELPED. I will now be going here for all my gun and ammunition needs. I'm very interested in seeing the shooting range now.....

Fantastic store and staff, feels like a nice cozy place that doesn't take itself too seriously, the process to shoot at the range was easy and the prices were clear and Andrew make us feel very at home, and there was a great selection of firearms available to rent. Was not too busy on a Thursday night and beware that Google Maps may say the establishment is busy even when it's not, that happened tonight but when we showed up there wasn't a line at all to get into the range. Thanks so much

This place is my second home! Absolute down to earth people who are knowledgeable helpful and friendly. These people have been so good to me and I consider them to be family. I started coming here roughly mid 2020 and have continued coming here ever since. They have great deals and Andrew is an amazing gunsmith! From sighting in guns and mounting optics to building you a sweet AR set up and everything in between, no other place trumps Discount Guns and Ammo! Josh is the go to gun guru if thereΓÇÖs something hard to find heΓÇÖs always seemed to find it for me from parts and accessories to full on firearms! And the owner is extremely knowledgeable in guns and can tell you just about anything about any gun he truly is a walking encyclopedia. All in all this place is and will be my go to place, and I refuse to go anywhere else! So if you havenΓÇÖt been here before I strongly urge you to see this place and experience it for yourself. Very friendly staff, I wish there prices for a little cheaper everything is marked up, a lot. The only cheap thing is that there are the range prices. I'm not from the area but if I had to do some shopping wouldn't be at this store. But like I mentioned before the staff is very nice.

I called asking for a "Low-Profile, Adjustable gas-block"; was told on the phone, "sure, come on in we go it." The clerk blatantly lied to my face about the gas block he sold me being adjustable ΓÇö it's not, and only returnable for store credit. Jokes on me for thinking the LGS won't lie for *checks receipt* $27??? Y'all ruined a potential forever customer to make a $27 sale... how petty... $12 range fee is the only thing in this place cheaper than somewhere else in Salt Lake County.

I went to have my rifle sighted, I'm pretty new to guns in general. They were awesome! Super friendly and informative as well. The gunsmith sighted my rifle very quick and it was very accurate as well. I was impressed with their service and attitude. It was above and beyond in my opinion.

It was my first time at Discount. They had a magazine I havenΓÇÖt been able to find at other local stores. They had a great selection all around. The staff was 10x friendlier and eager to assist me than any other shop. I havenΓÇÖt tried the range yet but I will definitely be back
