In town from Sanford, North Carolina and wanted to get some clays in. I chose the right place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I mean when you walk in the door and meet a guy named Bubba right from the get go I know IΓÇÖm where I need to be. Will definitely be getting the crew together to come back. Thanks again for a good course and southern hospitality.

What an impressive operation! I've not hunted here, but their beautiful 5,000 spread offers quail and pheasant hunting, plus sport clay and on-site cabins. I visited their operation to pick up shotguns we won in a raffle because of their generous support of Glynn County's Habitat for Humanity. Check it out for yourself!

Our 4th year in a row and I have to tell you that it gets better every year. The people there make you feel at home and the hunting is 2nd to none. It really is a great place to take the whole family.

Just finished a 2 day trip to Dorchester with 5 friends. I was there in March of 2023 and wanted to share my experience with these friends who by the way had never hunted with a guide and dogs or for quail. They were absolutely blown away with the total experience. First, the accommodations are private homes that are rented to guests during their stay. I could move into any one of the homes and stay for a lifetime. They are all top notch and well appointed homes. Secondly, the chef prepared meals are beyond description. The ladies that provide the meal services are very attentive to every guest and very professional. Third, Chuck (the owner) was always on site and engaged in conversation with all the guests, a true southern gentlemen. Dave (the manager) makes sure your stay is everything and more than what you expect. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable of guns, managing the staff and managing the 5,000 acres. Kylie, is the office manager and the person you will communicate with setting up your stay at Dorchester. She can answer any questions you might have. Again she is very professional. The guides are very knowledgeable about the operation and are very easy to work with in the field. They instruct you as to how you should position yourself to the dogs when they point to get the best shot. They are also very protective of the dogs. The dogs are very well trained and stayed on point. One final point, our guide has worked there for 13 years and a total of 17 for Chuck. Other employees have worked there for many years as well. The longevity of employees I think says a great deal about the owner and management of Dorchester. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dorchester. Just go there, you wonΓÇÖt be disappointed.

Dorchester is a hidden gem worth a visit for either a lesson in clay shooting or full on hunting trip. They were extremely welcoming and hospitable to my group of friends and I who reserved a clay shooting session for my bachelor party. The staff was super courteous and fun with our group and were excellent in their instructions while shooting. Dorchester Shooting Preserve couldnΓÇÖt have provided more of what we were looking for and we canΓÇÖt thank them enough for the great experience we had.
