Duncan Gun Shop Outdoor Range

This is a small outdoor range that is membership only. It is very nicely kept with three ranges: rifle to 200 yards, pistol to 25 yards and a shotgun range with high and low house. Shooting positions have shade. The rifle range has four benches that are very stable. You will need your own rest, sandbags, targets and something to hold the targets up with, like a staple gun.

Great experience here. Reasonable price for a year's use. Have 4 rifle benches. And target backings at 50, 100, 200 yards. Pistol areas are nice. Good berms separating each area. Bring your own target stands for this area.

Shoot idpa here first sat of every month. Pistol bays, 200 yd covered rifle range. More than fair membership fee

The other reviews here are for the store, so I'll give one for the range. There really isn't an alternative in Wilkes unless you know someone with a lot of land, so in that regard it's great. Other members seem to be constantly destroying stuff and ignoring the rules or even common courtesy but I always go on cold, wet weekday mornings and have yet to run into anyone else. I'll happily renew at the end of this year, I only wish they were somehow more strict on the misuse I've noticed.

Lots of stuff for a shop that far out in the country. Prices on certain items were high, but reasonable. Didn't look around the whole store as I was in a rush to get some parts for a firearm.
