A: New York State is very restrictive to non resident handgun shooters. Handguns are only allowed for NRA sanctioned events. We allow 22LR long guns for members and their guests.

A: Not anywhere in NYS. You must have a pistol permit to even touch a handgun in NYS. You will need one even to handle a firearm in a store.

A: All the information can be found here: https://www.dcpistol.org/membership.html You can also attend one of our monthly meetings on the last Friday of every month at 8pm. The website also has a current calendar with all of our meetings and events.

A: To apply for Regular Membership to DCPA, you must have: A valid New York State Pistol Permit or have the Authority of Office to possess firearms. Successfully completed an NRA Certified Safety course (the safety course must conform to the NRA Pistol Training manual) or have an NRA classification. Attend at least one monthly meeting (Usually held the last Friday of the month at 8 pm in the clubhouse). Have paid the required dues and initiation fees. Completed and signed the Membership Application.

A: There are restrictions. You must be a member and have taken the long gun safety class or a guest of such member. Shotguns are only allowed on range 2, between 9am and 8pm. Targets must be placed at the berm and maximum distance is 25 yards.

A: We are a membership club, we do not sell or rent any products to members or the public. We do provide firearms to use for classes and shooters under the age of 21.
