Questions & Answers

A: No sir, you are allowed to.

Q: Why do members have to pay for the target poles? We should be able to get poles for the stands to put up our targets for free! Are we now having to bring our own target poles? You say you have poles near the office, for the non-members for free!

A: Im sorry but we just don't agree, we sell the target sticks at cost with zero mark up. For a set of sticks it cost us about $3.50 as the cost of lumber isn't cheap and with the amount of target sticks getting used it wouldn't be feasible for us to up keep that cost without having to raise membership cost even more. The sticks the non members get is actually part of the cost they pay to use the facility so they aren't actually getting them for free. There are always left over sticks laying around the front of almost every bay and you are more than welcome to pick them up and use those instead of purchasing new ones every visit.

Q: How much is membership

A: $400 a year $100 application fee for civilians, $50 for Mil/LE/First Responders

- Element Training Complex (a year ago)

Q: Does this location allow lowlight / night vision shooting?

A: We do! The first Saturday of every month we offer after hours shooting. The cost is $10 for members and $50 for non members.

Q: Is this southern tactical with a diffrent name?

A: The area is where STR used to be but we are under new ownership. Our prices are more affordable than previously and we have updated and are still updating the range and facilities daily.

- Element Training Complex (2 years ago)

A: Yes

- Bud Miner (3 years ago)

Q: Do yall allow 37mm launchers if your using chalks or target ammo?

A: We do! Just check with us at the front before you start launching to make sure we are good safety wise!

- Element Range (3 years ago)

A: Currently we do not allow..

- Element Training Complex (3 years ago)

Q: Metal or paper targets at the thousand yard range?

A: Both!

- Element Range (3 years ago)

Q: IΓÇÖve shot IDPA in the past and am looking to get back into competition. ItΓÇÖs great to see youΓÇÖve got IDPA, USPCA, and even GSSF Matches! Do you by any chance have NRL22 and/or NSSF Rimfire type Meets/Matches?

A: We actually have a benchrest .22 match coming up in April. Check Practiscore for the details.

They donΓÇÖt give you a whole lot of information. Probably prefer that to having an overbearing range safety guy but IΓÇÖve been out there twice and felt like I didnΓÇÖt know what was what. Like the range doesnΓÇÖt cold at all specific time. You have to go talk to the other shooters and they collectively decide when to go cold and go down and set / repair targets. - I think this is crap. First time I just fired a few into the dirt without setting up a target and said screw this and left. ItΓÇÖs kind of a - they take your money, offer to sell you some targets and PPE and go figure it out yourself. We were setting our targets in the dirt. An hour later someone comes by and says - hey, buddy. You have to put those on sticks and put them in the carriers. Ok. Makes sense. I didnΓÇÖt see that sticks - nobody else was there. They also said mag canΓÇÖt be inserted on anything when going down range to repair targets. Where is this information? Not posted on the range. Nothing was communicated prior. They just give you a brief run down of the map and turn you loose. I know my way around firearms and safety better than most but this is is not enough for people that do not. Just a lil too loose and too Spendy. Was like $40/person. Sure you can shoot all day but if you have 2-3 people thatΓÇÖs not a little bit of dough.

An exceptional, well-serviced range for developing the full spectrum of professional marksmanship skills. Matches are held across a wide range of disciplines from action shooting to long-range precision. The pro shop has a good selection of ammunition, accessories and advice for the novice and experienced alike. Membership is pricey, but there aren't many other places to test yourself at 1000 yards.

Never knew how good I had it until I left the area. Was a member for 2.5 years as active duty military and visiting once a week at minimum it was well worth it. Dion and staff went above and beyond to take care of me and my family + friends on more occasions than I can count. I always brought deals I found online to their attention when I was looking for something and they were willing to work with me, resulting in multiple price matches and transactions. When I encountered a baffle strike on my can I bought it back and they took care of me with the manufacturer start to finish. They hosted fantastic competitions. I used all their facilities and introduced about a dozen new shooters to the sport at their facilties. To anyone at the Eglin/NAS Pensacola complex looking for a range: look no further. I've been out of the area for 4 months now, and at my new duty station ranges cost an exorbitant amount more. No review is complete without constructive feedback- Element guys, be careful about catering strongly/only to the military/LE crowd. I'm not accusing you of it only reflecting on personal experience as MIL. The best thing about the 2a is our responsible civilian gun ownership culture, which represents the vast majority of gun owners. Focusing too hard on the MIL/LE minority takes away from civilian training and range time. Be weary of actions which do that. You guys are a class act. Keep it up!

I'm a visually impaired shooter. I can't even count the holes in my cardboard targets. Wife helps me out with that. I love this range. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Just today I was helped to remove a carbon locked suppressor. My favorite time has to be during the colder months when they let you do lowlight shooting and I can use my nods. Hope you dudes stay in business for a long long time.

great time. super nice dude in the store. some of the target holders need a lot of work but a good choice of different ranges. i don’t live in area but when visiting friend i will be back!! Buen tiempo. tipo súper amable en la tienda. Algunos de los titulares de objetivos necesitan mucho trabajo pero una buena elección de diferentes rangos. ¡No vivo en el área, pero cuando visite a un amigo, volveré!

Excellent range, I spent the day here on a visit from the uk and this range has everything you need up to 1000 yards. Plenty of shooting positions and steel targets at various ranges.

I kept getting FB ads for this place and decided to check it out on my way home one day. I checked in, signed a waiver, I spoke to the range officer about the layout of all the ranges and he let me check everything out. I have NEVER had access to a range this impressive, 100 different ways to train, a bunch of different types of ranges, the amenities were VERY impressive. I didn't become a member yet, only because I'm not set up to fully take advantage of everything they have to offer there - once I'm setup I will definitely join.

This facility is truly outstanding! Safety takes precedence here, and the level of customer service is nothing short of exceptional. Dion and Danny exemplified dedication by going the extra mile to ensure that our group of six received top-notch private instruction. Walking in with virtually zero experience, they took the time to acquaint us with our firearms and ammunition and then guided us to the range. Over the course of a few hours, we had the opportunity to shoot a variety of guns at different distances, gaining valuable insights along the way. The owner, who dropped by to check on our experience, was not only friendly and personable but also genuinely cared. A heartfelt thank you to Element for once again hosting us! My husband and I are already planning to return in a few weeks for more training!

Element is the most capable range I have ever been to. They cater to every level of shooter out there, from beginner to expert. Also, every style of competitive shooting.

This range is second to none. Safety is paramount and customer service is beyond exceptional. As a firearms instructor communication is so important when dealing with a location. Dion, the manager went above and beyond to make sure my officers were able to qualify safely and efficiently. Mike who is in charge of maintenance ensured we had everything we needed and facilitated our training with amazing customer service. This place is a theme park for firearm enthusiasts! Thank you Element for hosting us once again! WeΓÇÖll be back in a few weeks

IΓÇÖve been a member for awhile, itΓÇÖs easily the best range in the area and the staff is amazing. Recently I showed up and there was a course of fire setup in a pistol bay, I add my own target and got to run a tunnel with doorways, windows and a catwalk, things IΓÇÖd do at a USPSA major. I would pay extra for a couple themed bays that change out monthly. I hope this becomes a regular thing.

Awesome facility. I had a great shooting day, and wanted to say thanks for leaving stage props on one pistol bay. It was nice to roll in and have a stage to run without any setup. Might be nice to do that every so often with one bay on a rotation with USPSA, 3Gun, and Steel Challenge themes. Also, thanks for extending memberships to cover deployments/extended TDYs. ThatΓÇÖs great customer service, and shows a level of understanding of your customer base thatΓÇÖs pretty rare.

Mr. business manager, I thought long and hard about what I wanted to say before I wrote this. First of all I am a member, but I am also a customer. Do not brush me aside because you think you have me hooked already. I am not required to stay a member! I kind of figured that membership dues covered target racks for the 100 yard range. Isn't RANGE MAINTENENCE part of why we have a dues for a membership? I do not have a B.A. in Business but I am a Master Instructor. To get to that point you must take a course called S.A.T. (Situation Awareness Training), which is all about people. I earned that title in the Military, and I do know your first priority should be your members (customers). When I first joined the dues were $400.00 a year minus the 10% discount for military, in fact it has been that way for awhile. Now, as you the new business manager, you informed me it was a special to get people to join and that doesn't exist anymore! I think the staff that was let go had more people skills then they were business minded, but that could have been remedied with training. People skills can't be taught. It has to be instilled in a person at a young age. I also was informed of the payment plan for membership. Do you really think it is a good idea to penalize the people who can only pay monthly by charging them $40.00 a month the whole 12 months? You are making them pay an extra $80.00 for a year membership! 10 months is the limit they should have to pay! This concerns me and make me wonder about your business and people skills. Usually I wouldn't complain like this, but (NEW MANAGER) your comments just stuck in my mind. Customers are the reason you even have a job! Respect that! And maybe you will earn my respect! I am still contemplating whether I will rejoin in Nov. I enjoy shooting, but like most people I enjoy the conversations with the staff at the facility, trying to pick their brain for new knowledge on guns and ammo. The last staff understood that, sorry but I haven't gotten the feeling this staff does.

This range was the range to go to, but not so well lately! Most times I have gone out to the range lately there are no 1x1s to staple my targets to and most of the bases for the targets are gone. What am I supposed to staple my targets to ? Check the ranges more often.

Idk what happened at element! Was the best place to shoot ever! Not so much anymore, all the good, real employees are gone. Best guys around, no more. Getting really fudy around there these days. Hope they fix this. Was centered around civilian preparedness now it seem LE - and military get all the attention.

If there were more member bays for the members to shoot when they get here then I would rate better. When they are busy they do not regulate how long someone can use a bay leaving members waiting HOURS for a bay to open (their red bays specifically). I'm frustrated I'm waiting on a bay when I pay a membership to shoot.
