I am a novice Trap shooter, but I like my friends to try it out as well. I have been contacting the shooting clubs around our area and asking about their Trap or other Shotgun style sports. I recently got a response from someone at the club, and they noted that Trap was open to the Public on most Sunday mornings between 8:30 and noon if they had a bunch of shooters. The club is only about 20 minutes from my camp, so I packed my gear and headed to the camp last night. I stopped in at the club around 9:30ish and found 5 shooters on the line. It was great to see a woman shooter and a younger boy of about 12 shooting as well as the usual mix of guys you might expect to see. Webb and the guys welcomed me in, and I shot 4 rounds and had a great time. The conversations at a gun club are as you would expect, and I fit right in. I expect I will be visiting again soon. Weather and Wife permitting. Update: Today was my first time back to shoot here this year and not much has changes. Same friendly people and clean environment. I should really get here more often.
