Extreme Tactics & Training Solutions

Q: What are the prices for pistol practice
A: Last time I heard $35. All day.
- Randall Mccarty (8 months ago)
Q: What are the distances they offer?
A: 25 and 50 yard tactical bays, 50/100/200 yards rifle range, all accessible with a day pass. To go farther than 200 yards you must be a member AND qualify.
- Robert Byrd (3 years ago)
Q: Is there rules on what types of rifle ammo you can use.
A: No AP, penetrator, or incendiary. Also no 338L or 50 BMG.
- Nick Morris (5 years ago)
Q: Do you have a archery range
A: There is no official archery range there that I have seen. Mostly tactical pistol, rifle range to 1200 yards. Smaller ranges 50 100 & 200 Hope this helps
- Haydn Doughty (4 months ago)
Q: Are they open labor day?
A: For members they are open everyday
- Skip Bayro (5 months ago)
Q: Are 556 green tips ok?
A: For steel targets that is a definite no. Honestly you shouldn't waste them at the range anyways. Practice with brass of the same grain amount and use the green tips for defense.
- Davis Kimball (6 months ago)
Q: Can you shoot steel rounds?
A: Yes, just not on steel
- Kirby Kirby (a year ago)
Q: Will they be open on Labor Day?
A: Most likely but as a family business it would depend . Check the website and or give em a call most likely schedule is posted on one or the other. I hope that helps.
- aldredge_ saxxon (2 years ago)
Q: Do we have to take our own guns
A: Yes, they don't have any to rent. They might a few handguns available for purchase and ammunition.
- LEVENTE KUSAI (3 years ago)
Q: Is there skeet shooting?
A: No

This place got greedy and did not apply military discount when I checked in. I attribute the latter to a younger employee not paying attention.

Personable staff. Fair pricing. Nice shooting outdoor lanes with berms. Well spaced out so you are not on top and right next to one another. Can bring your vehicle right up to your covering. Bring your own table and chair. Some lanes have no covering, so bring your own tent. Stay all day for one price. No need to retrieve your spent shells. Just takes me a while to drive there. I shot by myself for six hours. But you can shoot as a group.

Very good range with a friendly staff. Nice open bays where you can practice your CCW and level 3 retention draws. Tons of porty potties outside if you need to use the restroom. This saves you a lot of time from having to drive upfront to use the restroom. Every 20 or so minutes, a staff member will drive by to check up on you. I find this to be great since you don't have to run up front if you need help. I do wish there was more steel targets present. I originally started coming here in 2021 and steel targets + stands for paper targets were present in almost every bay. Most non-member bays now have 1 or 2 stands for paper targets and on the rare occasion, 1 steel target. Regardless of the lack of steel targets, this range is far better than all the other outdoor ranges in DFW. Edit: The front office lady snapped at me back in July 2024 for wearing sunglasses inside the office. They're prescription sunglasses and I have an "A" Restrictiom on my license and see can see that. I legally have to wear prescription glasses to drive, so I need to wear them to see.

Outstanding outdoor gun range! Exceptionally clean and well-maintained with a great setup. Erika at check in was fantasticΓÇöso warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable for a first timer. She made the experience even better with her helpful guidance. Visited this past Saturday and canΓÇÖt recommend it enough for a safe, enjoyable day of shooting!

As a former veteran and RSO, myself, the lady at the front desk is curt, rude, and pedantic for the very sake of being so, and in addition to the now lack of steel targets and a $40+ tax day pass, I can't justify driving out there again, nor can my range buddies who are usually in attendance.

For $40 you expect there to be more steel. No lanes has a tree of any kind and the only lane that had falling steel 5/6 of them broke off so you only had 1 steel target in a line up. In my opinion not worth it unless you're doing a reservation of some kind.

Front desk lady is pretty rude. She demanded we remove our sunglasses indoors, and offered no explanation why.

This was one of the most challenging gun ranges ive ever been to. we all care about safety and making sure that everyone knows the rules but sitting there trying to tell us that we were shooting too high then to turn around and after we fix it tell us we are shooting too low is beyond me. Ive been to gun ranges all over the united states and i will never come here again i do not recommend coming here either if you are a person of color because they wanna say we being aggressive or aggressive like when all we were doing was asking simple questions they couldnt provide us with. Just sad in my opinion!!!!!

Amazing place to shoot. I took all the men that came down from New York City the day before my wedding, my father, uncles and cousins. Mind you they have never even held a gun before. But with the help of my cousin. Staff received us well and were very friendly, when I told the staff that my family just flew in from New York City staff just looked at each other and before they got a chance to say it, I just said it for them " Get a rope" of course the didn't know what was so funny but later I filled them in. My cousin Hector Reynoso who's a frequent goer to this range, was quite knowledge and experienced in this field and to to mention a hell of a Marine, made that afternoon one my family will never forget. Thank you for a memorable afternoon and thank you for your service.

I've been a member for 2 years now, I have my own access card and can roll in the gate anytime I wish to go target shooting as well as practice my drills (defense). They have several events throughout the year histed by Firearm manufacturers and other shooting sports companies where you can test out their latest products, purchase accessories, etc. The proprietor of ETTS is awesome, the staff are awesome and if safety is a concern, there are staff members on constant patrol throughout the ranges doing safety inspections. Several law enforcement agencies train there, they have several pistol bays, rifle bays and long range lanes. The long range 800m to 1200m lanes are reserved for experienced shooters, you must qualify before you can utilize them, at least that is what I have been told. I'm a close range to 500m guy so I have no need to use them. Members have access to the entirety of the range and they have limited lanes for non members which I think is fantastic, reason being is most other shooting ranges are open for everyone and alot of times I found myself having to ditch range day for it being full up. This way I'm almost guaranteed a lane when I go. They have a family plan that you can add your wife and kids to also for one very decent price in my opinion. If you are wondering what is keeping people from using member only areas I can tell you this, The staff that runs through the whole are on a constant "patrol" are extremely good at remembering who you are. I have personally seen people redirected to the non member areas a few times as well as seen people banned outright for not practicing proper forearm safety. Example, a couple of young guys, 18 or 20yrs old, showed up and pulled a Draco and a knock off AK out of their trunk and proceeded to rapidly hip fire the AK and turn the Draco sideways and mag dump with one hand, it took less than a minute for the range personnel to remove them from the property with a permanent ban. It's a pretty great place in my opinion.

This is the top of the list when it comes to some of the top quality outdoor ranges in Texas. Yes, it's a bit of a drive for some of us but well worth it. Handgun, rifle, you name it they have it. You can do it all here and affordable too even for non members. Make a day out of it, kick back and put some rounds downrange. This is range paradise.

If you want RSO's that lie and only applies their rules for some customers but then are restricting other customers for NO REASON, then go here. 5/8 people present were US Marines, we know how to shoot. The RSO was calling out the wrong lane. The lane behind the berm was shooting high and he saw dust and called us out on it Lol. It sounded like they were having fun with a PCC at a higher rate of fire if you ask me but he was an idiot and didn't realize that. If they were actual safety violations I get it, but they weren't. That guy was just being a douche bag and probably doesn't get to wear the pants at home so he feels the need to have to do it here. I'll remember this for the next time that I go here. Hopefully they have better RSO's next time.

This is the coolest range IΓÇÖve ever been to. No one bothers you as long as youΓÇÖre safe. I would suggest going during the week if you want more privacy. The bays fill up pretty quick on Saturday.

Great range and honestly well worth the money. The staff are friendly and make sure you're good to go. I had one gentleman come and check on me to make sure I was not shooting slugs at too close of range to the steel, I was using birdshot, but the fact that he came up and wanted to make sure I was being safe was a good thing. It was a bit muddy and a few truck loads of road millings definitely would help that along with some drainage. If I had one major complaint it would be that unless you are a member, you cannot use the 1250 yard range, $1400 a year is too much to justify its use in my opinion, but I won't have that count against the rating.
