A wonderful range and even better teaching. Even before any training, the lesson was interesting and any instruction absolutely clear. The pistols were well-maintained, just as the range itself. Vladimir is a wonderful teacher with loads of patience, leading to me being able to use a proper handgun in a safe environment for the first time. If I were a local, I would join up instantly. Sadly, I'm not, but I can at least recommend their shooting range and the two of them. Till next time!

Went in June, attended training as was first time for kids, youngest having just turned 11. Was 6 of us altogether. Training was good overall, very thoughtful and engaging for the kids. It was only suppose to be 30-45 minutes, ended up being 60 minutes (not a complaint, just a heads up, would rather it be thorough than not go over everything). Instructor also helped each child with firing their first shots. Below is just a couple of things to be aware of (not complaints, just letting others know what to expect and my observations). 1) Range is not up-to-date. We've been twice. Some of the tracks for targets wouldn't work. I think one lane light was out as well. Plenty of lanes open for us to switch to. 2) There's a lack of AC and Ventilation. They do have fans behind you that you can turn on. It was June/July, but was tolerable. 3) The day membership doesn't limit you to an hour as other indoor ranges, and is competitive or cheaper than Buds, etc. 4) You're not assigned into a lane. We had a group each time (3-6 people), and we were on 2-3 lanes (limiting factor being that each child needed to be supervised, no handling of gun without adult with them). 5) Children will need to be supervised wherever they are. So, if they need to go to the bathroom, you'll need to go off the range with them. If they want to sit in the lobby, an adult needs to be with them. 6) Having a Table/booth on range was nice, so you can sit while waiting your turn in group. 7) We did the gun rental ($25 with ammo I think), and since we were only ones there, we actually had 2-3 firearms at a time so we could alternate what we were shooting (1911 was smaller, so easier for younger/those with small hands, other is larger for those with bigger hands). Only have .22's available to rent, but that's fine for beginners. 8) Not an RSO actively on range (they're watching on video though from back office??). 9) With it being for beginners, they do have a no rapid fire rule. 10) They only stock .22 to use with their rentals. Any other caliber, better bring your ammo. Overall, it's a good experience, good for kids to learn, and spend as much time as you want (not rushed to finish your hour), but with keeping the cost competitive, the range itself is not as nice as Bud's, but decent enough. Wasn't busy when we went. Only 1 other the first time, none the 2nd time (both times on Saturday - midday). Vladimir is always super helpful, especially with gun jams that occurred and was good in the instruction class.

My family and I attended the training and had a great time at the range! The training was very digestible and thorough and the service was very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this range to anyone in the area. Safety is a top priority to the owners and many of us were nervous about learning to shoot a gun before coming here and we all had a such a great safe and fun time. Thank you for such a great experience! These memories will last forever.

Visiting the Pigeon Forge area, and wanted to go shooting with some friends. Family fun indoor range was the first place that came up. We got there 40 minutes before close and Vladimir welcomed us with a smile. He was super friendly and very willing and patient to answer all our questions, none of us are new to shooting but weΓÇÖre certainly not experienced. When guns started jamming (due to our fault) he came in and helped us out so much, teaching us how best to hold the firearms and many other tips. After we were done shooting he took our picture and handed us little booklets explaining what their non-profit stands for and the story of their founder. After reading more about them IΓÇÖm so throughly impressed and inspired by such a beautiful cause. IΓÇÖve never left a review before but this place 100% has earned 5 stars, if I lived in the area IΓÇÖd be back for more! If youΓÇÖre new to shooting or just want something fun to do in the area this place is well worth a trip!

What an awesome range! My son took the safety class and we ended up doing it with him as well and really learned some new things! The cost is so reasonable! Susan and her husband were so nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend whether you're new to shooting or experienced! We will definitely visit again next time we're in Tennessee!

I can't sing the praises of this business high enough! I brought several family members with me to this range the other day who had never fired a pistol before. 2 of us in the group are concealed carry permit holders and I have had some more advanced tactical training. To stay as a group we all attended the new shooters class which as only $5 extra on top of the $15 day rate and definitely worth it. As requested on the website I emailed the range a day before to inform the range of my plan for the following day, a Tuesday, and the range was not busy. The training class was excellent for new shooters and even learned some new things as a somewhat experienced shooter with prior training! After the class we were outfitted with 22LR pistols and fired a few shots at the range. I moved up to my 9mm pistols and let my family shoot those as well. If you have the opportunity I recommend you spend a few hours at this range Thanks very much Vlad & Susan!

IΓÇÖm so glad I found this place. I planned a girls trip with my daughters and wanted to do something to get them out of their comfort zone. This was it! It was very cool to see them push thru their fears of firing a gun and get comfortable with it.

Visited range today and took my family there (I have 12 YO daughter). And while she didn't want to shoot I wanted her to have positive 1st time range experience and boy this was it. Later today she said next time when in TN she'll be going to the range to do some shooting and I chose this place to be her 1st shooting experience. Vlad and Susan are super friendly, they have tons of knowledge when it comes to guns (safety, target shooting, gun mechanics/physics, and last but not the least gun laws) and so I definitely want Family Fun Indoor Range to be the place where my kiddo takes her 1st shot. July here we come.

Had a great experience learning to shoot pistol for the first time. Vladimir was my instructor. We started with a lecture in basic principles of firearm use for self defense. Then we hit the range with .22 cal for the practical exercises using Colt and Walter semiauto. I was able to hit the target more predictably and received great feedback on improving my technique. Spent about two hours at the facility in total. Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge! God Bless America!

In full disclosure, I've got to note that I'd visited this place back when it was run by different folks - I believe it was called Sevier County Shooting Range or something like that - and it was a perfectly fine place to go shoot run by good folks... or at least folks that were good to me. So, with that aside... The new owners have definitely spruced the place up. There's a kind of interesting vibe to the place, starting with the decor, which has a sort of cool Bauhaus feel. There's also an area that apparently doubles as a classroom for those needing the gun safety class [more on that later] and a kind of children's church. In short, gone is the quasi stark and utilitarian "Yeah, a guy definitely decorated this place" feel, which makes sense given the family - and particularly the feminine - focus of the place. It may seem thus far that some tactical guy isn't welcome here, and that isn't the case at all. As is in the name, it's a place for the family - yes, even rather young kiddos like mine [more on that later, too] - but it does seem that there's a more intentional approach to appeal to folks that might not otherwise have a recurring subscription to Guns & Ammo... and that is a good thing; those folks who are new to shooting need at least to feel comfortable enough to try it out, and hopefully stick with it. Now, finally, for the "more on that later" comments. I went to this place to celebrate my elder kiddo's birthday. I'd perhaps have gone elsewhere, but nobody else would have allowed a kiddo as young as mine [he just turned seven] to do it. Again, the place caters to the whole family. Since he's so young, my kiddo had to take a gun safety course. I've got to give Vladimir some real credit here for having been so patient with my son. He's a precocious lad, but... he's seven. Despite that, Vladimir was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and despite the course being somewhat lengthy, he held my kiddo's attention for the most part. Even when on the firing line, he wasn't some over-the-top instructor pressuring the kiddo. Based on my experience, Vladimir would have to be considered the difference between a 4-star and a 5-star review. I have no idea how he teaches adults, but I can't imagine it's any less patient and intentional in making the new shooter both comfortable with and knowledgeable about the gun they're about to shoot... and shooting in general, really. One last thing, and it's my one quibble, and it's that the gun safety course material might be pared down a little -not much, mind you, but a little bit - for a significantly younger audience. Admittedly, there are probably not a lot of folks bringing their 7-year-old kids to shoot, but for those that do, the presentation might be streamlined a bit. I suspect that Vladimir sort of did that on the fly, honestly, but it's the more hands-on stuff, especially the loading of plastic .22 rounds, the way of determining which eye was dominant, and the drawing of sight picture, that kept my kiddo engaged. So there you have it. If you're interested in finding a good place to shoot, but especially if you're new to shooting, this place has an awful lot going for it.

We brought our 4 children, ages 17, 14, 11 and 6 to the safety class and they got to shoot for the first time. This was an amazing unforgettable experience. The man and woman who run the business are so kind and they don't play games! We absolutely loved the experience and would highly recommend to everyone of all ages!!!

I adore this place! The instructor, Vlad is so knowledgeble and nice. I went with my bf and his brother for the class and then to shoot. Most places are male centered but this one was not. I felt cared for and understood. I have never touched a gun before and I appreciated the patience and effort to provide me with answers to questions I had. First time going was certainly nerve wracking and I was definitely put at ease at this location. I been back several times since and always learn something new. I would recommend any lady even slightly interested to go in and take a look for herself. It is a very safe and welcoming place. You wont be disappointed.

We called at 3:30 pm and tried to ask questions about the fees. The lady answered one question and told my husband that she had a zoom meeting and hung up on him without saying anything. So we went ahead and went anyway. We had 10 people in our party including a baby. We had 4 people take the class and a total of 8 people who paid to shot. Our 4 people took the class. When we walked in our son asked if the baby could come in. The lady in the front office says only if she does not cry. So we sat in the car. The instructor was good and informative. While our group was taking their required class, the baby and her mother came in the building. She had been waiting in the car for 45 minutes. The shop is set up with a waiting area, a children's room and offices in the front. Since it's says it's a family friendly place we assumed we could wait in the waiting area with the baby for the rest of our group to finish. The baby was laughing and playing and the lady in the front office told us if she continued to make noise we would have to take her outside. At this point we had paid for the class and the daily membership fee. The lady in the office said something again about the baby. The lady who is the President of the company made our the young mother extremely upset because the baby had done nothing wrong. At this point we asked for our money back for the Daily membership fee since we had to leave because the baby had to leave and we had not shot anything. We were told that we couldn't be refunded the money because it was a donation but we paid a fee. This is not a family friendly place unless your children act like adults. Do not go there. The lady spoiled our family fun with her rudeness and lost business for them. But the instructor was nice.

They were so caring about it and helped me a lot. When i shot, the workers told me i strong i was that i came in and gave it another shot. and that is was brave of me. definitely recommend!

Discovered this hidden gem as I was making plans to take a new shooter for some practice range time. Family Fun Indoor Range is located in the area of the airport/Walter State campus. It's an excellent facility for anyone to utilize, but it's particularly suited for ladies/new shooters and it turned out to be the perfect range for what we had in mind. The introductory 30ish minute class (mandatory for new shooters) was informative and provided much more value than the nominal fee would lead you to expect. It included a surprisingly comprehensive classroom portion as well as a short live-fire range session. They do offer carry permit classes as well as more advanced training. I'd note that they are not a firearm/gear retailer, so they're interested in welcoming you to the shooting sports rather than selling you something, or making you feel stupid regarding firearms knowledge like some gun shops do. Just friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Both of us had a great time. Learned some things and got to spend some quality trigger time on a first class indoor range facility. Give it a go!
