Stay away from this place.This is to update a review 2025. Purchased a pistol maybe 2 years ago. I was interested in owning 1 for many years. An aquantence of my sibling came over to my home and as we were talking the subject of firearms came up. Also to find out this sibling of mine works at this gun store. This aquantence suggested to go here to enroll in a class to get a ticket to carry the pistol. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, THE AQUANTENCE ALSO SUGGESTED I JUST DRIVE TO THIS GUN STORE WITH MY PISTOL WHEN MY SIBLING IS WORKING THERE AS HE MENTIONED DAYS, TIMES HE IS THERE. Instead of his suggestion, I called to ask a few questions and to verify my sibling works there, the guy hung up on me. Quite surprised I think his name is Mike. I now suspect this was to instigate a problem after speaking to several people about this. Or in the words of other people I spoke to about this issue, they were trying to set you up for a problem . When looking on the computer, this gun shop had catastrophic event that took place there as well. A gun shop is suppose to recognize any type of red flag as I'm sure there were some in the event the right questions were asked as well as the persons behavior was off, let alone if someone just started talking to the person they could have said they would like to be with them as this person uses the firearm and could have picked up on something if they have any type of common sense which obviously does not exist here. I myself am in customer service with my job as driving a truck. Negligence would be an understatement for this shop as well as its employees. Somehow they offer safety classes which is odd given the fact of what happened. When I placed a review on this site the owner made a statement that did not happen, stalking to be exact, this speaks volumes beyond volumes as the mentality of these people. Because of such an arrogant smart mouth remark the owner and employees should have the ffl license revoked immeadiately and permanently when I did nothing, your employee initiated a problem where there was none by instructing this person to come to my home. Also, If this is how you enable your employee when clearly nothing was done on my part but instigating a problem by your employee you should not have a gun shop. Because you are able to own a gun shop does not mean you are a good candidate for that buisness.This is a perfect example of that. Anyone who reads this comment and has a positive interaction I wish them the best and much enjoyment of owning a firearm and using it there and need to be extremely cautious about this store as it is the only 1 in the area with an indoor range. Maybe a person would prefer the short drive 30 miles south in either direction, 43 or 41 instead. My intentions are to make people aware not everyone is treated the same and people also have their own narrative, when bad intentions are discovered they will blame and twist things around to play the role of the enraged victim as they are not getting their way. Rest assured, when something does happen people do absolutely nothing, in a word, USELESS comes to mind for obvious, repeated reasons, although they sure know how to complain and instigate problems which they clearly need to be accountable and penalized for.

As a combat veteran, I highly recommend Family shooting academy for everything you need. Friendly staff , very knowledgeable and professional. Plenty of guns to try out , clean , organized and a very friendly environment

Been here twice so far, and both times I was greeted with the utmost respect. Took my son today for his first time, and the staff were awesome. Family Shooting Academy will continue to have my business.

My husband and I went here to shoot with my brother, and father over the weekend. We had a great experience here. There were two gentlemen at the counter who were very pleasant and quite helpful when we purchase some ear protective wear, and he opened them up and set them up for us. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Went here with friends, An employee was very rude to him. DonΓÇÖt recommend. I was just along and a guest of my friend. No excuse to treat so many customers like this. I read you denied a retired military member a military discount too after he served our country. Awarded a Purple Heart. I was a military dependent also. That is deplorable. Then you make up excuses in your answers to people in reviews trying to cover up you treat a lot of customers horribly so you donΓÇÖt lose future business. How about treat everyone well and you wonΓÇÖt have bad reviews.

My BFF and l took the basic class for $75. We arrived with no idea on gun usage and regulations. Mike was positively the best instructor and walked us through all aspects. He has great class presence and his knowledge is impeccable. I'd recommend this place to anyone. It is clean there, rules are followed to a tee. It is very customer friendly. His assistant in the lane area, (wife?) was just amazing too. Great job to you both!!

A friend and I shot here for an hour. The facility itself is clean and orderly but the staff are definitely questionable in terms of customer service and public relations. Curt, not friendly, and make side comments that are unnecessary and immature. The price to shoot is also quite expensive. If someone needs a place to shoot and the things I mentioned don't matter, it'll work out for you. For me and my friends, there's no reason to come back.

Love this place! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Clean and tidey. It is more of a range than a store... they do have a small selection of ammo and products. Good selection of rentables. The range itself is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Terrible customer service, came in to pickup my firearm and file paperwork etc. They racially profile me and it seems they didn't want to give me my firearm even though I meet the requirements and age. They look at me like I wasn't 21 even though they saw my ID and everything. They had attitude and did not want to give service to me even though I was the only customer there. Will never use this range ever again since their prices are ridiculous for a beat up indoor shooting range. Would never sent my firearms to this place again, luckily had to because Nelson Tactical wasn't available to receive my firearm.
