Questions & Answers

Q: is there a club house and what does it have to offer!?? do I have to be a vet and is there a membership required??

A: No club house, nothing special. Just have to have your firearm registered on post and have either a DOD ID card or pass to be on post. Must bring your own hearing protection, and eye protection. Has targets from 25 to 1013yds.

Great range for practice of all types of guns. Went with my handgun and got great tips from Brad who oversees the range. Highly recommend.

Fix the range markers! The 150 marker was actually 100 yards. Everything down from there was wrong too.

Outdoor Range, supports pistol, shotgun, rifle, and carbine. 10M to 300m E type silhouettes for free, 350m to 1000m steel targets. Largest caliber allowed is 50cal. Open every weekend except major holidays, and when the army does weekend training on the range. Kids are allowed to shoot 6 and up.

Range is probably one of the better ones around fort riley. They have metal targets up at 350 so you hear hear your rounds hit. They also have targets stands so you can shot paper targets anywhere between 10 and 300 meets. They also have long range targets, around 800 meters I believe. Few things to know before you go. Weapons have to be registered on base. 8 dollars per person for all day. They have a table and chair to shot from and military paper targets. They also provide a staple gun to put the targets up. Overall, good range with a nice staff to help you out.

Great find; didn't know this range existed with civilian use. Staff was great; friendly, helpful & courteous. Range is clean and goes to 300+ meters. Super place to zero my rifle for deer season!

Civilian rifle range, when it is open. Only open on weekends 1000-1500. I believe that they open it only during hunting season.
