Q: Are there known distances? I am looking for somewhere I can zero my rifle.

A: We have a 50yard maker sign, a 100 yard marker sign, and a 200 yard marker sign with target stands and targets available for free. We have placed metal targets at the 100, 150ish, 200, 250ish, 300 and 500 yards. I personally am a rifle coach with over 18 years military service in the Army and Navy. I stared marksmanship in boy scouts at 13, and took 3rd in ROTC nationals. Recently I coached a drill sgt on a brand new weapon system last week and shot the 500 target with ease. We are open Sunday 9-5. My name is Mike and I'll be available after 1230 tomorrow March 11th.

Best place to shoot in Lawton. Prices are reasonable and you can pretty much do what you want as long as you're being safe and aware. Being as this is the closest place to shoot near me it's super convenient to pack up and head over here. The range is well maintained and minus the tin shed crappers its overall a good place to put some lead down. Take some time and talk to the rso. Hes a good dude and just wants to make the range a great place for its customers.

Nice staff, plenty of room to shoot. Pistol and rifle range.all in all good times, plus they sometimes have competitions and activities there. One of the things I like is that civilian can also go. And the price is decent.

Excellent gun range. There are separate pistol and rifle shooting ranges. The rifle range has well marked distances with steel targets reaching out several hundred yards. The pistol range has many stands to set up paper targets (free in the clubhouse), plenty of shooting lanes, and 6 or so steel targets. $10 is a bargain for a day pass to shoot. The staff is friendly and maintain a clean, safe, and fun shooting environment. You can tell that safety is a priority and the safety officer does an excellent job of controlling the range without being overbearing.

Solid work by Fort Sill, OK MWR to completely turn this facility into a place of value. Karen and Richard hosted us today as the range safety personnel and they run a safe and fun operation. I was very impressed with the work that was put into making the firing line hospitable to shooters. My party utilized the rifle range portion of the range and the overhead cover and benches with sand bags to shoot from were a big improvement over what the old facility failed to provide. The modest fee of $10.00 is a fair, firm, fixed price and I canΓÇÖt complain. The registration facility is new and youΓÇÖre able to sign in to use the faculty fast providing you have your proper documention in order. Actual bathrooms, snacks for purchase and the ability to show up and shoot all day for a novel fee is a good deal. A fresh target with backer was provided to us and we enjoyed shooting for several hours working on getting numerous rifles sighted it. Other military personnel shooters were on the line and made the atmosphere much more enjoyable. If youΓÇÖre at Fort Sill, OK I highly recommend taking the time to enjoy this facility. After speaking with the range personnel more work is scheduled to accommodate archery in the future. Knowing what the old facility was compared to what MWR has turned the Facility into now I highly recommend it and give it a ranking of five stars. Thumbs up! WeΓÇÖll be back soon.

Pros - Range personnel are nice and leave you alone to shoot. - Targets are easy to manipulate and set up in the shed. - Plenty of 'cold' times to set up your targets where you want. Cons - Lanes are housed by steel frame. Everything reverberates off the metal for a constant ringing noise. - Target holders are shot up and a bit ghetto - No distance markers anywhere so gauging distance is up to you. Overall It's really the only place in the area worth shooting at. I wouldn't charge to shoot here but for $10, it's the cheapest within 20 miles. It'll work.

This range is a disgrace. First, ten dollars a day and wait for it....seven dollars a day for a hundred dollar a year membership. Second, the range facilities have not changed in over six years...same hot garbage yet it was free to shoot over the years so not a big deal until MWR got their hooks into it. Now that there is a cost there should be improvements but again, wait for it...nope, can't even manage to get known distance markers. Remarkable. Finally, I figured I could stomach giving up five dollars given the change in season and availability of new 50% off "twilight fees" but imagine this....I get to the range and there aren't any targets available because the guy with the keys to the target shed forgot the keys at home...AWESOME! Plus, I get this total excuse from the guy on why the place still sucks with no plan to improve it at all. So, I will ensure I let all I can know how terrible this range, and MWR's involvement with it, is.

Glad to see it reopen and run professionally; however, I believe that MWR really is missing the mark with its strategy to serve the Soldiers of FT Sill a means to fire their personally owned weapons. $10 daily range fee for non members is understandable; however, the audacity to charge a member $7 a day after a $100 annual membership fee per person is ridiculous! I would rather pay for targets than a range fee as a member. Also they are obviously sinking money into making the range workers comfortable and not putting it into improving the shooters range experience. The air conditioned building is nice for hot days but I didn't come to the range to watch cable tv...money wasted. I really believe that it only takes 1-2 workers max to run that range NOT 3...wasted money. How is the rifle range only 242 m long? They should be able to accommodate a 300-500m range even if it is just steel targets at that distance, just coordinate with range control. I don't believe this range will stay in operation very long, not when there are ranges like the OK Scrap club that offer you annual fees of $75 + low family members rates and provide a personal key to the gate. Their range is longer too, stretching out to 300m. Just my opinions, hope they make some changes so I can give them my business. God Bless America!

Pros and cons. It is really nice to have a relatively long-range (300 meter) rifle and pistol range that is somewhat exclusive. However, it has become readily apparent that there are more people in the US Army that do not appreciate having a range like this one than there are people that do appreciate having a range. Stupid, self-centered people who shoot the target holders, the metal posts that mark the distances, and don't pick up any of their spent shells should not be allowed to use the range. I am going to still utilize this range but I am taking my own targets, target holders, and sand bags from now on.

Laid back shooting range. Open wed-sat usually, unless something else is going on.

The new range is MUCH better than the old one. Nice set up. Really great to have some elbow room between lanes. The steel targets are awesome.
