Fox Valley Shooting Range
Q: I am a retired 43 year veteran law enforcement officer. I have a valid FOID & CC. My brother has a valid FOID card and has never been to a range. Can I bring him and get him started on the proper procedure to shoot on a range.
A: you don't necessarily need a foid to shoot at the range as long as you're with someone else that has one.

Q: What is the age limit and how much per person?
A: Please don't misinterpret ..."least restrictive"....their very attentive & range office on range premises at all times if needed & monitors that the rules are followed and safety at all times.

A: If I remember correctly 22 for first person and 10 for an additional. 2 per lane unless a private lane. Don't believe they have an age limit as long as you have a parent or legal guardian sign a form. I know I can take my 12 year old nephew. Excellent place to shoot. I go there weekly.

Q: If a 21+ person has a foid and brings handguns can he rent out a range and use those guns with a under 21 but over 18 guest?
A: I take guests there all the time. The range is very accommodating.

A: Usually not because of the spread.

Q: Probably a dumb question but for the CCW classes, do i need to sign up or something or do i just show up? Also what would i need to bring with me besides obviously my FOID card?
A: I agree just give them a call. They have great customer service and are well educated and informative. You will be pleased

A: Not a dumb question at all. Call them directly, they will give you all the information you need. They have a website and yes you would need to register.

Q: What are your range fees without membership senior
A: Our range fees are $22 for the first shooter and $10 for an additional shooter. If you would like to do a private lane it is $27 for the first shooter and $12 for an additional. We do have a senior day every Monday, and 65+ is half price!

Q: I'm non-immigrant new to shooting. No FOID just ID. I don't wish to own any firearms in future just hands on experience and basic technique to be aware of. What I need to do to learn shooting?
A: Hello! You could take a first shots class or a private lesson to get some training done. Those can both be found on our website under the class section

The range is great and always a good selection of firearms, ammo, and accessories. Everyone here is always friendly and engaging which tends to not be common in this industry.

My favorite gun shop & range. I patronize 5 shops. FV harbors a moderate amount of inventory that more than meets my needs. Professional services, competitively priced products, easy to shop and much better than average range (when it isnΓÇÖt jammed with shooters) I wish I lived closer to the FV shooting range (20 miles), I would visit more frequently. I feel welcome & safe there. Elgin/South Elgin are so fortunate to host this shop

I recently visited Fox Valley Shooting Range, I understand the need for strict safety protocols, the staff inside the range was unnecessarily rude. Safety is a priority, but customer service should be as well. A little professionalism and courtesy would go a long way in creating a better experience for visitors.

I called this place today and was faced with the most rude and disrespectful receptionist. I only needed some info on the lanes and he was continuously interrupting me with rude remarks as if I should already know all their policies. Was planning on bringing a bunch of people with me here but will suggest everyone I know to stay away from this place.

Unacceptable how me and my friend called THE DAY BEFORE!!!to get value on a trade in stating that it was ok to come in the following day. Came in and waited way too long just to be told they couldnt look at them because mark and some else was not there. Saturday at 4pm. Waste of time. Will not be back.

Called Friday night to ask if someone was on site to appraise a gun for a trade in. Was told to come in anytime and someone at the back counter could do so. Upon arriving the next day I had to wait in line 45 minutes to speak to someone to find out the person who can do appraisals isnΓÇÖt on site and they have to look at the gun. Poor communication from the staff and a waste of time. Go else where for your business.

Just now got to writing a review, but I have been shooting here for about 6 months now. Place feels like my second home and everyone that works here feels like my second family. Shot my first time here and now after putting thousands of rounds down range I can say there is no better place to shoot. Get that membership you will not regret it! Wish I could leave 10 stars because I love this place!

Went the other day with my brother from out of town. They answered all of our questions respectfully and helped me get started. Reasonable prices and a wide range of rentals. Wonderful addition to the area.

I had not been to the range in a long time, and One of the employees, Hank, helped me to get Set up. He offered me some pointers and just all around was awesome. I will definitely be back.

As a woman, I sometimes feel a bit intimidated or self-conscious about my level of firearm experience. Hank completely put me at ease. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable and welcome. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and offer helpful tips. He helped build my confidence and made the whole outing enjoyable and empowering. I highly recommend Fox Valley Range, and if you're lucky enough to have Hank assisting you, you're in for a treat!
