The front desk lady was rude and ignorant because we looked young and were 21. Got her point across that we look like we don't have a rats ass of a clue what we were doing and made it known she knew more about everything than we did.. which is strange because the buddy I was with is in the Amry. The hassle of dealing with this lady wasn't worth the trip of shooting. She did a hell of a job making us not want to go back. I've never left a good or bad review on anything and I felt obligated to do this bc she was so bad. Smart ass and condescending staff leads me to take my business elsewhere next time.

I used to be their customer couple yrs back when I was in York. Great staff with friendly altitudes, always helpful. This is also a great gunsmith location which do all kinds of work including bead blasting, cerakote, and all kinds of issues, I mean just look at their work shop! I believe this is top 5 gunsmithes in PA and among them this one have least return period I believe. Indoor gun range with machine guns for rent, which is nice, but they do require a membership subscription for the shooting range, that makes it a little bit tricky, other than that I believe they deserve a solid 5 star. But still, I highly recommend here for residents in South PA and Maryland!

Was my first time shooting with my boyfriend and we went on the pistol range. Felt safe and was a nice place overall. If it's cold outside, bundle up! Because even though this is indoor it will be cold on range. We bundled up and we still stopped early cause of the cold. But overall I am happy with the experience.

I had never been to a gun range before. It was one of those things that IΓÇÖd always been curious about, but never really thought to explore. One weekend, a buddy of mine, Jake, invited me to Freedom Armory. HeΓÇÖd been going for a while and thought itΓÇÖd be fun to show me the ropes. So, with a mix of excitement and nervousness, I agreed. The range is located on its own lot. A place you only go on purpose. As we walked in, the loud thrum of gunfire immediately hit my ears, making my heart race a little. There was a heavy smell of gunpowder in the air. People were focused, taking their shots at targets with precision and concentration. Jake led me through the safety briefing, which I appreciated. He was calm, explaining how everything worked. The staff seemed really professional, and the whole vibe was focused. I felt pretty safe as I slipped on the ear protection and got ready to try it out. IΓÇÖd shot a couple of times before, but this was different. The feeling of holding a real weapon in my handsΓÇöfeeling its weight, its powerΓÇöwas surreal. At first, my shots were all over the place, but Jake was patient, guiding me as I found my rhythm. The adrenaline from pulling the trigger was something IΓÇÖd never felt before. There was something exhilarating about it. After weΓÇÖd shot a few rounds, Jake suggested we check out a special area heΓÇÖd heard about. Apparently, there was a ΓÇ£secretΓÇ¥ part of the range, one not many people knew about. Curiosity got the best of me, and I followed him. We wandered through a narrow hallway behind the firing lanes, and just as I was about to ask where we were headed, he pushed open a heavy metal door. The space beyond was completely differentΓÇödimly lit, with velvet curtains and plush seating. My eyes widened in surprise. The place looked like a nightclub, but quieter. The air was thick with music I couldnΓÇÖt quite identify, and a feeling of energy washed over me. It wasnΓÇÖt until we were inside for a few moments that I realized it wasnΓÇÖt just any nightclub. It had an unmistakable, welcoming vibe to itΓÇölike a hidden gem for the LGBTQ+ community. The more I looked around, the more I realized this wasnΓÇÖt some random club. People were laughing, dancing, and chatting openlyΓÇösome of them a little more familiar with each other than I was used to seeing. There was a comfort in the air, a sense of freedom. As the beat of the music pulsed through the room, I felt this strange pull, like something was clicking. I realized I was smiling without even thinking about it. The whole place, the people, the atmosphereΓÇöit was electric. For the first time, I felt completely at ease with myself. I didnΓÇÖt need to hide. I didnΓÇÖt need to pretend. It was like a weight I hadnΓÇÖt known I was carrying just slipped off my shoulders. As I danced, I realized something: I wasnΓÇÖt just having a good time, I was having the best time of my life. I was myself. I hadnΓÇÖt felt this alive in ages. That night, I went home with a heart full of joy, but also with the realization that I had been running from a truth about myself for a long time. It wasnΓÇÖt just the club, the guns, or the nightΓÇöit was the space to truly see myself and let go of the fear I didnΓÇÖt even know I was holding on to. I knew something had changed that night. I knew I was gayΓÇöand that felt like the most freeing thing IΓÇÖd ever experienced.

Went in at 630 after work wish I saw all the 1 star reviews before , makes sense why the parking lot was empty . I went to try and purchase a glock43x everything was fine asked for holsters ,types of guns and held the gun itΓÇÖs self the heavyweight white women then said I smelled like Marijuana and couldnΓÇÖt purchase at the store. I donΓÇÖt smoke at all very disappointed and will continue to bash this establishment.

Pricing is generally at MSRP and there is a solid selection. I pay for the yearly handgun pass and in just a few trips it pays for itself. I am happy with the customer service. I imagine they get a lot of folks coming in and acting like experts. The last thing IΓÇÖll add is the place is very clean and the facility is the state of the art.

I don't know how to tell you about my experience at Freedom Armory because I wasn't able to go in and shoot. The website clearly says that they will take appointments for shooting lanes up to 1 hour before it closes, well I got there at 5:47 which is an hour and 13 minutes before closing time at 7:00 and I was refused to be given a lane. As a veteran I enjoy shooting, and my girlfriend is just learning to hunt with the 30-06 I bought her and we just wanted some time to familiarize her with the gun and its shooting action. So we had to load up our rifles put them back in the truck and drive all the way back to Baltimore. I told the guy behind the counter you really ought to put that in your website that it states you got to be there an hour and a half before the close of the day. Was it crowded? Were there no lanes available? Nope, there was all but like three cars out in the parking lot and it sounded like most people were shooting pistols. I didn't even get to go back and see the shooting lanes cuz he wouldn't even let me go look at the place, so no I'm not very happy with Freedom Armory. We just wanted to make sure our guns were sighted in. We probably would have shot for like 10-15 minutes. I explained this to him and even told him my disgust in fighting Baltimore rush hour traffic to get there before 6 pm. I asked him to have someone change the website to state the hour and a half rule and it still states that they will take shooters up to 1 hour before close. So maybe it wasn't a rule, it was his rule for the day because he wanted to go home and watch MSNBC...

Knowledgeable staff prices are much higher then many other places. Range is completely unaffordable. Especially if you like shoot often.

I used to go to this range all the time , i looked the other way of their prices being high just cause it was convenient, well today i want shooting had a great time may of shot 300 rounds i picked up a good portion of what i shot maybe 90% , i got a nasty call from the front desk saying i need to pick up every spent case, i am sorry but this place is cashing out on spent brace , two I’m a disabled veteran and my body ant want it used to be I'm not bending over and over when…i under stand if there was a massive pile of brass but a few spent rounds? Then the nerve to call me and be nasty ? As far I’m concerned i will never shoot at this place again nor spend a dime beware of these price gougers

Easily the best range and LGS I've ever been too! A massive showroom and top notch range! Up to date tech and a blast to visit. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I became a member and it'll be the only place I visit to buy and shoot from now on!

Nice place, staff has always been helpful. I just wish they had adapter plates. I went to get an optic for my pistol but I couldnΓÇÖt have it installed because I needed an adapter plate. ItΓÇÖs not that they didnΓÇÖt have it in stock, or that they needed to order the right one. They simply donΓÇÖt deal with them at all. I had to go home and search for the plate and order it. ItΓÇÖs not the end of the world, but I was hoping to go site it in the following morning. Now I have to wait for it to come in the mail and run back out to have it put on ( I donΓÇÖt have the proper torque wrench). Seems like something they would deal with.

Its a really nice range and some of the employees are nice, however when my brother was interested in purchasing a firearm with a safety the guy at the counter was trying to talk him out of needing one with a safety and actively advocating against them. Stating that ΓÇ£would you remember the safety if you needed to defend yourselfΓÇ¥ is a dangerous train of thought for a first time gun owner. For a place that offers beginner courses I would be concerned that their employees offer this advice to beginners. Beware of the advice they give at the gun counter. But the range and most employees seem kind and caring.
