I took my concealed carry class through Legal Heat and we spent the last few hours of the course learning how to properly handle the gun. This gun range has reasonable prices for the day.

I understand the Safety and I Respect it alot, but the range officers always breathing behind my neck and watching my every move more than others making it feel like I have no firearm safety handling at all. I mostly practice drills (run and gun) with slinged rifle and holstered pistol (Two gun drills) so I'm never standing in one spot like most ranges do. I usually go here to get my rifle zeroed for my next run and gun competition and leave after I'm set. I can never focus on what I have to do because someone has to come over and tell me about things I already knew about. I understand the rules here fully at Gateway because I took and passed the test provided. My 4 years of training I 100% know how to handle weapons professionally.

This is an outdoor range. It is very convenient for me and my husband since it's less than 2 miles from home. We intended to just get a day pass and shoot. After watching the training video, I decided that I wanted to get us a year membership so we could shoot at the steel targets. The lady was very nice but when I asked her how my spouse was included in the membership she almost froze when I told her the black man next to me was my spouse. Her face was shocked. Then she told me I had to prove it. I can't imagine she has EVER asked a man and woman to prove they were married. So I joined anyhow but now I have to go back with my marriage license because of a bigot. I plan to tell her how I have been serving my country since I joined the military when I was 17 years old. I am in my 42nd year of public service protecting our freedom. I hate it when people think I don't have the same rights and freedoms they enjoy. I would bet my last dollar she runs around yelling freedom all the time. People don't understand what that means. I will still be shooting there only because it really is a nice set up and it's so close to home. Went in w my husband. She was very nice this time. I wished they had more AR range for 25 and 50 yard shooting. They only have 3.

I have been a Member of a few Clubs in my day, but by far GR&PC is the best ! Plenty of Ranges for all your needs. The RO's are friendly and very helpful and even the Office crew are nice. As long as GR&PC is around...they will always have a Member in me !

Safe place to practice, train and learn how to work your firearm. Best for self training not for basic or new to firearms. There are several areas offering everything from 22 plinking at tin cans to shotguns at clay pigeons along with rifle at 100 and 200 yards. Steel plates in the multipurpose area are great for practice of rapid fire and target acquisition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be sure to stop in the office and take the safety test to know the rules. Then tour and get a membership or day use for non-memeber area.

I chose to come here because they open earlier than other ranges. After sitting through a 20 minute safety video, I failed the test because of a question about the line being COLD. If itΓÇÖs mutually agreed that the line is COLD, then itΓÇÖs okay to cross the line and change targets. I walked out to the range, three old men were way behind the red line sitting in folding chairs they brought. They were just chatting and laughing away when I pulled up. They watched me setup and get my target on some cardboard and i kept glancing towards them and nodded several times. I had two levels of ear protection and is obvious the line is COLD. As soon as I go to step out, I can heard them all making noise and look over to see them laughing and waving me on. To avoid any problems or safety violations, I stopped immediately and walked over to them. They say I should have said CEASE FIRE GOING COLD and I reminded them that the rule allows for mutual agreement and they were not near the firing line, sitting in chairs, guns all showing chamber flags. I explained IΓÇÖm not the social type and didnΓÇÖt want to interrupt their conversation. They then ask if my gun is empty, no magazine, with flag in the chamber. I said, ΓÇ£of course,ΓÇ¥ and they replied, ΓÇ£Okay good.ΓÇ¥ What the hell? I walked back to my station and they started yelling again. I walked back over because I canΓÇÖt hear with all the ear protection, and they asked ΓÇ£are you going HOT? You have to let us know!ΓÇ¥ I literally didnΓÇÖt even touch anything and these old men kept yelling for me to walk over to them while they just sat there screaming from their chairs. Thought this would be a nice place to get some zen-ful shots but these old timers wouldnΓÇÖt shut up. Way to heckle away a paying customer! I didnΓÇÖt fire a single round. Just walked my shit back to my car. All three men got up and started shooting when they noticed I wasnΓÇÖt having it. Probably because this all happened in front of the RSO who was super nice when I first arrived. He obviously didnΓÇÖt like that these old timers are giving new faces a hard time before they can even have any fun. IΓÇÖll stick to indoor ranges where I can mind my own lane. See attached photo for the target I never got to use and the ammo I never shot. I know the old hecklers thought they were being helpful and funny at the same time, but IΓÇÖm not here for it.

Seems like a nice enough facility but being forced to sit through a 30 minute video and multiple choice quiz (that you have to get 100% on) is absurd. It feels like the full DMV drivers Ed experience. Such a waste of time. Do not recommend if you are already even the slightest bit proficient with your firearm and just want a one off range to quickly practice at. Maybe itΓÇÖs better for members.

Great place with many range options. They have paper target with metal plates so you can utilize each while sighting in your handgun before going for speed and accuracy. I became a member so that I could utilize many of the features not available to day use general public. There are ranges for pistols and ranges for rifle up to 200 yards. There are areas for shotgun and areas set aside for rimfire only.

I would be lying to you if i said i enjoy coming here to shoot. Although the club membership perks can become very useful the clubs rules simply block your intent or use of imagination by strict firing laws and misuse of property if you ask me personally. The ranges feel tight the firing laws when accompanied by other shooters is exhausting. As a Former armed employee of the club I can without a doubt say that the experience was all but welcoming to put the cherry on top!

Staff are amazing people. Always courteous, and very helpful. Ranges are well kept, and there are a large variety of ranges to shoot from, so there isn't a crowding issue. Plenty of items in the office in case you forgot something for the range as well. Definitely recommend doing a yearly membership with them so you can come and go as you please year round.
