Get Some Guns & Ammo

Q: When is ladyΓÇÖs day/night and how much?
A: Tuesdays
- Travis Hirabayashi (5 years ago)
Q: can we bring shotguns?
A: Yes,
- AR murphy (2 years ago)
Q: Does anyone know if they allow Steel Cased ammo here?
A: You can for pistol loads, but for rile, you'll be asked to buy some
- Dj pittster (5 years ago)
A: Steel cased ammo should be fine as long as it is non magnetic. They so this to test for steel core ammo which damages the range.
- Landon Buttars (5 years ago)
A: It depends if the projectile sticks to a magnet
- Joseph Carlin (5 years ago)
Q: Can I bring my 12 year old sister to the range and let her shoot even though I am not her guardian? I am 20 myself.
A: I dont think there would be an issue.
- Daniel Sagle (5 years ago)
A: Yes. She just needs adult supervision. A note from your parents might help. But I don't think they'll question it.
- Sgt Walker (5 years ago)
A: I believe this will not be a problem. But call ahead just to check.
- Fro (5 years ago)
Q: What's the state of Utah laws to buy a handgun. I have a mental health records from the past which should be confident and never been arrested as a adult, child endangered as a minor in Lake county butharmless
A: They do a back ground check. So you can't have a felony or violent misdemeanor. Can't be a restricted felon, ECT. You have to wait 7 days for a hand gun. They do not check for mental health records, but you do have to answer questions like that. Or go to a gun show, put down your cash and there is NO back ground check and you can walk out with a gun no questions asked. Or go to a private seller. Again no background check.
- Sgt Walker (6 years ago)
Q: Is it free if you bring all your own stuff?
A: You can use your own ammo, but it still costs to use the range
- Michael Bushey (6 years ago)
A: Not sure, but I believe you have to buy thier ammo & use it
- Ore (6 years ago)
Q: Can you reserve a lane in advance?
A: I think it is first come, first served. But these guys are great at the Layton store. Give them a call a ask.
- Fro (7 years ago)
Q: Can you rent guns and shoot at the range without a CCP or other license?
A: Yes. You can rent and shoot without a permit. All You need is a photo id to rent a lane. You can also get ccp certified at this location.
- Mike P (7 years ago)
A: Yes, you will just sign a waver stating you know the rules at that specific location. They will walk you through what you need to know before signing.
- Tyler Lafluer (7 years ago)
A: Yes you can.
- Jake Ellery (7 years ago)
A: Yes, they have a wide variety of hand guns to rent.
- Mike McKinnon (7 years ago)
A: yes you can.... just have I.D.... fill out a form on a computer (new customers).... and all good... friendly nice place... use good ear protection... some people shoot large caliber guns... very loud

Good customer service, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of firearms. Their parts selection is kind of limited,Honestly the worst part is waiting for a lane if theyΓÇÖre busy.

I came in the other day to buy a firearm I had an idea of what I wanted was ready to buy it problem was that on my ID my address wasnΓÇÖt the same as my current address I canΓÇÖt remember the guys name who I was talking to but he told me that I needed to go home and get a piece of mail that was from the government I did not hear him the first time and I asked him to repeat himself instead of that he stares at me like IΓÇÖm a brainless fool for 10 seconds and he sighs and explains it again I will not be doing business here again

All the employees are honest, helpful, and kind. Three of them gave me insight/recommendations for a situation with my gun, one even took the time to tighten up my stock. Excellent customer service and range.

I used to love coming here because I paid $200 for the gold membership because of the perks of paying. Apparently, the "Fastpass/No wait on next available lane" that is posted on the membership board only applies to Monday-Thursday, when most people are at work. Looking next to the register and rereading the list of perks, this fun fact isn't stated anywhere. I doubt I'll re-up my membership in the future.

Really has nothing to offer but a range. Very limited on mags, sights, etc. Wouldn't recommend

Not a fan of their range. Too many ricochets. Nothing that was serious, but felt them hit my pants and legs. IΓÇÖve never shopped there. It was the same before Get Some took over the place.

David was awesome! Super helpful with getting my first AR set up and made sure I was getting top quality with value. I've been going here for about a year for ammo and I'm sold that these guys are truly the local firearm professionals.

I have been going to this establishment for a few years now on and off I want to do some shooting. And today they demonstrated the ultimate customer service when the batteries on my red dot died and I said do you have some new ones and the guy just gave me some of his own he didnΓÇÖt say oh thereΓÇÖs some over there there all this money. He just said he take these and would not take my money when I offered to give him money for them.. he did this without asking and that just goes to show you that good people do the right things are good things shall I say without being prompted pretty Cool

I recently was in the market for my first AR. I stopped in and was immediately greeted by Frank. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my newb questions. After stopping at two other gun stores in the area, I returned the next day and purchased a rifle, sights, a couple of mags and some ammo. Frank helped me with all the paperwork and check out procedures. I can not recommend this store and all of their employees.... especially Frank!

I have stopped by a few times and it just puts off a "bunker vibe." Terrible prices. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff. They were price gouging during the covid ammo shortages. Would not recommend.

Walked in with the mindset to purchase my first firearm. I already looked around at alot of stores and when I was brought to this place and it was by far the worst experience. The guy who helped me had a very unwelcoming attitude. And was frankly rude the whole time. He never talked unless you asked something. And sorta leaned against the wall the whole time watching you, despite informing him my low level experience he treated me in a way I didn't like. I wanted to ask questions, and get some answers. I had a very hard time doing all that with the attitude he gave. After looking at 3 Firearms and total of 10-15 minutes spent there. I ended up going down the street to Red Dot Firearms and actually purchased my first firearm there and had a way better experience. He answered all of my questions, helped me out relentlessly with alot of Firearms and walked out more then confident. I highly recommend Red Dot Firearms just down the road from these guys. How unfortunate it was this way.

First of all, thank the team member for his recurring assistance, unfortunately I don't remember his name. Although all the members were very cool and greatly contribute to making the environment safe. They are very professional. We shot for the first time, and the instructor accompanied us throughout the entire process and was very pleasant. I highly recommend this specific site if it's your first time shooting.

The manager Jacob is an angry man. I'm a pretty chill guy. I will never shop there again. Ever. Judging by the other reviews I'm not the only one. I went to Red dot where the owner helped me fix my firearm and showed me how to shoot it. Great guys.

My wife and I have been treated very well at get some ammo, took my nephew yesterday, has a red dot on his Springfield 9mm. It didn't work, one, of the gentlemen there looked it up on line, and answered all our questions, even about putting a suppressor on my 308. I aim to back more often time. Great prices.

Disappointed, IΓÇÖve bought multiple firearms from this store before and stop by quite regularly in the past with always a good experience but that changed today when I took my son (age 8) for his first time out shooting. Long story short the shooting platform on lane 2 was too high for him to safely shoot over so I tried to lower it which drew the wrath of ΓÇ£JacobΓÇ¥ aka (black goatee guy) IΓÇÖve seen the other reviews. He instead suggested my son stand on an unstable surface (some rubberized rifle brace) while handling a live firearm. After I mentioned how unsafe that would be he was pretty much unhelpful the rest of the conversation. At that point I requested my money be refunded I had paid for my son to fire and he begrudgingly left the range. I had to test fire to new weapons so after dropping a single mag from both we packed up and left. The only redeeming part of this is that one of the staff I have had regular business with and is all over a pleasant individual refunded my money and was much more helpful. I have left 5 star reviews here in the past but unfortunately I canΓÇÖt be utilizing this range if the direction from the range masters is unsafe practice. It may be some time before I decide to return to this establishment. My son first experience shooting was a poor one.

Great place! You will not find a more friendly staff. My two kids and I were very excited for our range trip on 1/14/24. We had a great time and owe it to such a friendly, helpful staff at the Layton location.
